COOLIO FACTS ABOUT THE OH-SO-GLITCHY-MOBS KNOWS AS SQUID!
-"Squid are 8-armed mobs that spawn in water. Squid are always passive towards the player, akin to the other passive mobs found on land. They can be found in water of any depth, in any biome, and spawn on any difficulty."
-When killed, each squid will drop 0 - 3 Ink Sacs that can be used to dye wool. The ink sac, like a unit of dye, can be applied directly to sheep before shearing to make black wool or mixed with varying proportions of Bone Meal beforehand to yield light gray and gray dyes (that can also be used on sheep before shearing). Ink sacs are the only way of crafting black wool; the alternative way to acquire black wool is by shearing a black sheep."
-When moving about, the squid's tentacles open and close, giving them an appearance of pushing themselves forward. Squid will hover in place and wander around one layer aimlessly and do not deliberately interact with the player, even if attacked."
-Squid stay alive but become immobile when beached on the land. They can take fall damage and burn like any land mob, but (due to being aquatic) they cannot drown."
-Squid behave like other mobs and cannot despawn as of Beta 1.7."
-Squid were introduced in the Beta 1.2 update."
-As of Beta 1.3, squid were given the ability to move in three dimensions (rather than only along the bottom of the body of water)."
-As of Beta 1.5, squid are incapable of swimming upward. When they do manage to swim upward, they drift down with a zero net gain in altitude, resulting in a jittery animation."
-As of Beta 1.8 Pre-release 1, squid are the only mob that don't drop an Experience Orb when killed by the player. This has been since fixed in 1.9 Pre-Release 2."

-Before 1.9, Squid cannot spawn in the Nether without the aid of inventory hacks, as there is no water in the Nether. As of 1.9 pre-release 4 they can spawn in water created by Ice in the Nether, and will spawn very frequently due to there being nowhere else to spawn.

Playing on the ASF Minecraft Server on Premier Day! (After bYd Podcast)

SanaBrick 2012-01-14 | This was filmed about a minute after the minecraft multiplayer server became open to the public! Some highlights of the night were: getting killed by zak, getting diamond armor and a iron sword and destroying people in pvp, punching mitch, mat, and zak, fighting in hippo's arena, knocking people off the spawn, seeing the nyan cat creation, and of course listening to the bYd podcast. AwesomeSauceFilms did an amazing job for the first time on making a podcast, they kept me very entertained the entire night (7pm-midnight or so) I can't wait for the next podcast :D Thank you ASF!

About Killing Floor:
Killing Floor is a Co-op Survival Horror FPS taking place in the devastated cities and countryside of England, after a series of cloning experiments for the military goes horribly wrong. You and your friends are members of the military, dropped into these locations with a simple mission: survive long enough to cleanse the area of the failed experiments. The only problem is, these "experiments" aren't waiting to be taken out -- they're coming for YOU!

It's a co-op survival horror game. Up to 6 players in online co-op mode, or just you, on your own, playing the Solo mode. The aim -- cleanse each area of zombies, in waves, until you get to the last one. The Big One. The Patriarch. Then exterminate him, too. Actually, they aren't "zombies". They are the left-over "specimens" from a cheap and dirty government program to clone soldier-monsters. The basic ones will just munch on your arm and try to disembowel you. The bigger ones were the first ones they tried arming. Nothing much. Just a chainsaw or a blade for starters. They had just got on to the chain gun and rockets when the government tried to secretly shut down their secret program.

But, in the typical way these things go, the program didn't want to be shut down. The specimens got loose. No-one was left alive to turn off the specimen-cloning equipment. And now they are running amok. Well, some of them are running amok. Others are shambling amok or even jumping amok, but you get the idea.

The police were sent in, but that wasn't even a challenge for the specimens. The first army units hadn't been warned what to expect. The screams of "its got a bloody chainsaw!" over the radios probably didn't do much for morale, as whole units were chewed up. Quite literally, in some cases, of course.

And now, there is just you. And a few friends. The few survivors from the first police and army units thrown in. Of course, you can't tell anyone anything, because that would be a breach of the Official Secrets Act 1911, 1920, 1989. And that would be a disciplinary offense. So just get in there and do your bit for Queen and Country...

Zombies. Lots of them. Big ones, little ones. Armed and Dangerous. JUST MAKE THEM ALL GO AWAY!

THE STORY BEHIND HEROBRINE -
"Herobrine creates random constructions, such as pyramids and long 2-block-high tunnels. He also burns down, or cut off leaves from trees, and creates cobblestone-complexes underground, much like dungeons, lit with redstone torches. He often appears at the edge of fog, in a tiny render distance."

"There are many variations of Herobrine's behavior, but they usually fall under two categories.
The stalker version of Herobrine is Notch's brother, who stalks the player, disappearing if approached.
The miner version of Herobrine is a vengeful miner that tries to ensnare the player in traps, presumably to steal their items. He waits for people to enter his dungeons, then either seals them inside, or "teleports" behind them, presumably killing them. Some variations of this particular version says he breaks the player's creations, and steals their items from chests."

Ward is one of the new music discs from the upcoming 1.9 update, the music discs play these tracks: Blocks, Chirp, Far, Mall, Mellohi, Stal, Strad, Ward, and last but not least 11.

"The player can achieve this [obtaining a music disc] by positioning a creeper between a Skeleton and themselves, then attracting the Skeleton's fire. The Creeper will target the Skeleton once damaged by it, so the player should make sure the Creeper is near death to prevent it dying by explosion instead. Hitting a Creeper twice with an Iron Sword or four times with the Bow will leave them near enough to death for the Skeleton to make the final blow. Beta 1.5 gave all sword one half more damage, making Stone/Wooden swords ineffective for simply weakening a Creeper. The player may also trap the weakened Creeper and Skeleton in a 2x2x3 hole, then walking around the edge until the Skeleton fires and hits the Creeper. Be sure to back away if the Creeper begins to hiss."

MINECRAFT - TOO MANY SILVERFISH

"The Silverfish is a new mob added in Beta 1.8. Silverfish hide in stone bricks found only in strongholds, and pop out to attack when the blocks are mined. In regular gameplay, Silverfish blocks occur rarely. If left alone, silverfish can re-enter some blocks, including cobblestone. When attacked, Silverfish may awaken nearby Silverfish blocks. This can lead to a terrifying swarm if there are enough in the vicinity, and in which an uncontrolled swarm can quickly destroy dozens of stone bricks within a Stronghold. They scurry away after the player moves a short distance. They have the same sounds as spiders, which is a placeholder."

The first stronghold I've ever seen in Minecraft. It was pretty large and filled with mobs. I even found a library. But a very embarrassing death happens at the end.. :(

" Strongholds (previously unofficially referred to as ruins) are part of the 1.8 "Adventure" update. They are a new type of structure that occurs naturally underground, and they contain multiple rooms, corridors, stairs, doors and other aspects, as of the version of 1.8. Stone Brick, Mossy Stone Brick, Cracked Stone Brick, and Iron Bars were revealed in the same image as being the materials that make up the strongholds. Unlike other 1.8 structures, only three Strongholds spawn per world. Also found in strongholds are Doors (wood and iron), Bookcases, and Buttons. Some treasures found in strongholds include Paper, Books, Coal, Gold Ingots, Iron Ingots, Compasses, and Red Apples. "

Wierd Water Glitch in Minecraft Beta 1.7.3

This is a strange glitch in Minecraft that I found at a bottom of a hill. The water flow wasn't flowing like it should have been until I placed and destroyed a block of dirt next to it. Hopefully Notch can solve this glitch in a future update.
