Megan is a 2018 grad with a degree in pharmaceutical chemistry and a minor in technology management. She is currently working as a research associate at BioMarin Pharmaceutical. During her time here she was involved with several programs from UC Davis Cheer to her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, and working at the UCDNA Sequencing Lab. Post graduation, she continued to make a difference in her community. After surviving the Gilroy Garlic Festival mass shooting, as well as a traumatic car accident, she wanted to find a way to help others that had experienced similar events. Eventually, the Reclaim Foundation was born, as they hoped to "empower trauma survivors to reclaim their life." Anita Oberholster Awarded Innovator of the Year UC Davis 2023-01-26 | Wine Enthusiast Magazine has awarded UC Davis enologist Anita Oberholster “Wine Innovator of the Year” for her work on the effects of wildfire smoke on wine grapes. She received the award alongside colleagues Tom Collins of Washington State University and Elizabeth Tomasino of Oregon State University. The team wants to better understand how smoke affects grapes, grapevines, wine composition and sensory perception of wine in a glass. The research team calls this an understanding of smoke exposure from “smoke to glass.”
