LYRICS
I got an uncle Huey, he’s got a boat down in Main-a-dieu
And when I lost my job at Devco, he says have I got a job for you
See I put my faith into no one, I’ve got no time for the government
Since they ripped up my house in Louisbourg and stuck it down on some blocks of cement
He says there’s a boat coming up from America with caskets filled with cocaine
There’s a goldmine out on the ocean and a lighthouse in Little Lorraine
There’s a lighthouse in Little Lorraine
We took his boat off the coast of Bateston, just out of sight of the shore
Me and my cousin and a Frenchman I’d never laid eyes on before
We met a boat that had come up from Boston, started heaving boxes overboard
Huey handed them a big bag of money, we were back in the harbour ‘round four
Singing there’s a boat coming up from America with caskets filled with cocaine
There’s a goldmine out on the ocean and a lighthouse in Little Lorraine
There’s a lighthouse in Little Lorraine
We’d be met there by seven morticians, loaded the boxes into their hearse
We’d set off with eight thousand dollars, laughing ‘bout what we’d spend it on first
Frenchman tells me his name is Thibault, that he grew up in Isle Madame
We could all go down to the church hall on Saturday and get drunker than hell at the dance
One night Thibault got fired up on moonshine, tried to beat up a Catholic priest
We got thrown out on our ass behind that church hall, we spent the night with the Mounted Police
We went on working for weeks every Sunday ’til Huey says we gotta slow it down
Someone’s been singing like a jailbird and it brought all the Mounties to town
They heard there’s a boat coming up from America, heard ‘bout the caskets filled with cocaine
There’s a goldmine out on the ocean and a lighthouse in Little Lorraine
There’s a lighthouse in Little Lorraine
Huey calls us all down to the docks one night and he hustled us out to the sea
He shut off the engines and floodlights and he pointed a shotgun at me
I said Huey I ain't the one been singing, must be the Frenchman from Isle Madame
He said that’s just what a turncoat would tell me, least you could do is die like a man
Funny they could not be bothered with a casket but what use is it now to complain
There’s a graveyard out on the ocean and a lighthouse in Little Lorraine
And as the buckshot it entered my brain, I saw the lighthouse in Little Lorraine
There’s a lighthouse in Little Lorraine

LYRICS
I’m listening again to the Seaside FM
Where the songs roll straight off the waves
2500 watts all going out hot
to the backroads and lonely highways
From Roseland on back into Port Halifax
Back cove to St. Margaret’s Bay
Playing yesterday’s hits and your old favourites
Your Concertos and your Serenades
Now I’ll not be alone while he’s rolling me home
just as long as my radio catches
105-9 on your FM dial
He’s the voice of the Eastern Passage
He’s the voice of the Eastern Passage
Now Kay’s on the line from the show and the shine
make some bucks for Branch 164
It’s a fine Legion Hall, come one and come all
and stay tuned for your weather report
Now I’ll not be alone while he’s rolling me home
Just as long as my radio catches
105-9 on your FM dial
He’s the voice of the Eastern Passage
He’s the voice of the Eastern Passage
I’m listening again to the Seaside FM
where the songs roll straight off the waves
And later this hour off your radio tower
comes the voice of the Eastern Passage
Now I’ll not be alone while he’s rolling me home
Just as long as my radio catches
105-9 on your FM dial
He’s the voice of the Eastern Passage
From the moment my driver door latches
Just as long as my radio catches
He’s the voice of the Eastern Passage
There’s the voice of the Eastern Passage

LYRICS
They call me Danny Fingers
and how I got that name
is the source of some contention
so let me set it all straight
I set out for vindication
for my brother's lost soul
after a dark and dirty betrayal on the Causeway Road
I started fishing with my Daddy
back in ‘73
We made enough from the quota
we could start a little fleet
Heard Ronny’s got an old Cape Island
that he’ll sell for a steal
Thirty foot with a Detroit diesel
and a hell of a keel
So we bought a boat for my brother
and his own tag too
Built the traps with my Daddy
like my Daddy used to do and
God damn on the first day of fishing
not a mile from his home
my brother took an ungodly load of water
every seam on the hull let go
It was a dark and dirty betrayal on the Causeway Road
A dark and dirty betrayal on the Causeway Road
Well my Mamma’s still cryin’
my Daddy took to the drink
Me I just got angry
with all the time to think
Ronny’s gonna have to meet his own maker
I'm gonna go it alone
How’s my brother supposed to get himself to heaven
when we never did find his bones
I got some old booze bottles loaded with kerosine
Stuffed rags down the necks of ‘em
and grabbed some TNT
Then I drank up the courage grabbed my navy cut smokes
to avenge the dirty betrayal on the Causeway Road
that dark and dirty betrayal on the Causeway Road
Untied my boat from her mooring
lit up a cigarette
Came on the gas a little heavy
and I slipped on the deck
Well as God as my witness
I never will forget that smell
My cigarette caught a bottle
brought all the fury of Hell
Floated through Three Fathom Harbour
‘round The Reserve and The Wedge
The tide spit me out in the morning
on the other side of Rudy's Head
How long I was out for
Buddy it's hard to know
I'll tell ya one thing for certain
I blew off my fingers and my toes
It was a dark and dirty betrayal on the Causeway Road
A dark and dirty betrayal on the Causeway Road
Well her keel is still sitting
in the seaside sands
I had to give up fishing
on account of my hands
Well if you’re looking for a lesson
when it comes to revenge
You better leave it to the ocean
She’s gonna win in the end
with a dark and dirty betrayal on the Causeway Road
A dark and dirty betrayal on the Causeway Road
Beware of a dark and dirty betrayal on the Causeway Road
Just another dark and dirty betrayal on the Causeway Road

SALVATION (written by Adam Baldwin)
Don't draw up your curtain
Don't lock your front door
Don't you play coy, we're not estranged anymore
Come hither, come hither, buddy you know I'll get in
Come slither, come slither, let’s get a smile on your chin
I come alive in the evening
I'll have you back by the dawn
You're paranoid when your sleeping so you can sleep when I'm gone
I'll huff and I'll puff I'll blow this house of cards down
Enough ain't enough till enough comes around
So how’s it going down there
In your cold church basement
And how ya feeling down there
Have you found salvation?
Forgive me my trespass
It’s not what it seems
It’s a mere invitation to let me haunt all your dreams
And I'll lead you not into the sweet allure
Now let me in, let me in, open the fucking door
Now how’s it going down there
In your cold church basement
And how ya feeling down there
Have you found salvation?
Are you lost and forgotten
Have you not been forgiven
Let the saints surrender
And make saviours of sinners
I know that you can hear me
And I know that you can see me
And I know that you can hear me
And I know that you can see me
So don't you walk away from me
‘cause I know that you can see me
And I know that you can hear me
How’s it going down there
In that cold church basement
And how ya feeling down there
Have you lost sensation
Well how’s it going down there
In your cold church basement
And how ya feeling down there
Have you found salvation?
"At some point while writing this record, I’d given my addiction a personality. He was like a junk yard dog on the other side of a fence I’m cursed to walk by from the moment I wake up to the moment I fall asleep. I wanted that to come through on this recording in particular. The guitars had to be jagged, the bass had to growl, the words had to snap and bark.
I was attending twelve step meetings in the basement of a church in the south end of Halifax. One was held a few hours before I had to go to work singing songs at whatever bar, around the various substances I was desperate to avoid. This is where the religious imagery comes from. I’m not a religious man, but I was trying to find a god of any sort to save me from myself. I wrote the words in my head during one meeting just by looking at the old cross stitches hanging crookedly around the room, and from listening to the harshest truths I’ve ever heard, delivered by some of the most unassuming folks I’d ever met. Truth is cold. It’s uncomfortable, it’s harsh. That basement was cold. Damn cold." - Adam Baldwin, February 2019

Lyrics:
It’s a slow death by a thousand words
That echo in her ear
It’s not yet a scar, she bleeds from her heart
It’s a nosedive right into nothing
Nothing to appease anyone at all
It’s dark and it’s cold, she’s scared and alone
Hold on dear life to me
What’s frayed is not a tear
Hold on dear life I see
A young girl running scared and
What kind of a man would haunt you
And leave you with ghosts to taunt you
And what would you have me do
Who’s to say that I ever would have found her
Who’s to say she could have been found at all
The if’s and the how’s, it’s all over now
But tell me how you sat so stoic
Tell me how was it that you sat so still
Did a young girl’s cries fall so hard onto deaf ears
That your eyes couldn’t see what was clear
Hold on dear life to me
What’s frayed is not a tear
Hold on dear life I see
A young girl running scared and
What kind of a man would haunt you
And leave you with ghosts to taunt you
And what would you have me do
I hope that the angels save ya
Cause all the king’s men have failed ya
And what would you have me do
Rehtaeh
Now the echoes turn to a chorus
Of the devil’s favorite song
And it opens her scars
It rips her apart
Hold on dear life to me
What’s frayed is not a tear
Hold on dear life I see
A young girl running scared
What kind of a man would haunt you
And leave you with ghosts to taunt you
And what would you have me do
Whatever you lost I’ll find it
Before another young voice goes quiet
What would you have me do
Rehtaeh
What would you have me do
Rehtaeh
What would you have me do
Rehtaeh
