What CastleMania looks like in GD editor | Geometry Dash 2.11 Serponge Geometry Dash 2020-11-21 | My computer is now in recovery home 💀But yes, this is what CastleMania looks like with all rooms loaded at once and various other things in the editor! Hope you enjoy the deep dive into all that :)Tower Optimisation: The background basically follows the player as it goes up and down, problem is I couldn't just make it simply follow using the follow trigger as it wouldn't look right, it would look like a floaty background, so I had to make it move in 10 blocks increment! For that I used collision boxes that would follow the player, and each 10 block they went through they'd collide with a box that would move the whole contraption up or down and at the same time, the background. Writing this down makes me realize I should probably make a video on that and it'd be easier to understand, maybe one day... A new megacollab from Speg Corp, and this time it's an XL demon!After some brainstorming we started having a clear idea of what we wanted: a level that starts out abstract but then slowly morphs into a detailed art level based on the classic City theme. It started out in a similar way most rush collab started, aka everyone gets only a few hours to make their part, but the closer we came to the end the more demanding the parts became and the larger the expectation grew. My part in Cybernetic Crescent | Serponge Serponge Geometry Dash 2020-07-05 | Well, this took me a while but I came back! I have a few things that have been in the work since some months, one of them is pretty big, but that will require a bit more time. Don't worry, in the meantime I got a few things ready, and first thing first I decided to show you all my part in Cybernetic Crescent, the successor to Artificial Ascent and Digital Descent, hosted by Viprin :)This part took quite a while to make but it was worth it, I really wanted to give it a feeling of chaos and technological war sort of? Acid Rush 3 Final Preview | Serponge (me), Goose, Chase... Serponge Geometry Dash 2019-09-06 | So this level is now almost two year old, I hope it doesn't look too outdated by now, but I'm still happy to release it nonetheless! Verification will start in two weeks on Nexus channel :)I gotta say, we were stuck for a good while with this level in an almost finished state, it was pretty heavy on the editor to put it all together and not many people were able/motivated to, for the longest time ever my pc couldn't even enter the editor anymore. But either way we got it fully completed and that's mainly thanks to Goose who did a lot of work near the end to fix everything up. While doing that he took the opportunity to update his part and I gotta say it looks pretty gorgeous. That said, the other parts were supposedly made two years ago and in a few hours (that was the point of acid rush back then) so not everything will look as good but we still tried to make everything charming to play. Aura | Serponge (me) ft. XenderGame Serponge Geometry Dash 2019-09-02 | Finally a new level after almost a year of absence! In this level you'll sneak into a digital fortress through the electronical hyperway tunnels where you'll be facing a giant mechanical centipede guarding the entrance to the interior. The interior is a place where absolutely no light from the exteriors shine through. The only things producing light here are the digital circuits and runes, but you'll go deeper into the core and finally into the void, the end of your journey. If you didn't guess by now, this level is inspired by Rain World. If you've ever played that game, I hope you can feel the vibe I was going for.XenderGame did the epic bossfight (0:45 to 1:00) by the way, and he really delivered, he managed to adapt to the style of the level and now the boss looks like it totally belongs here, that's something not everyone could do, so yeah props to him!The level will release in GD Saturday, I'll be polishing up the gameplay and a few visual details. Oh and also optimising a bit the level as well so that anyone can play it :)And in the worst case scenario there will always be low detail mode!I'll also be implementing coins which will be showcased for the first time on viprin channel (who was kind enough to record and edit this video) next thursday youtube.com/user/vipringdSomething I really wanted to do with this level was the whole transition from a super bright starting area to a pitch black area at the end, going from a sunny exterior to the deepest interior ever in a way! Depressure | Serponge (me) Serponge Geometry Dash 2018-05-11 | So this is depressure, or actually, what I didn't want depressure to be. A while ago as most of you know, I said I lost everything due to a save glitch. This isn't completely true. I actually had some levels uploaded online in unlisted for betatesting purpose. After losing most of my work, I decided to just stop everything and never look back because of how sad I was. I really didnt want to hurt myself and continue while knowing I lost tons of stuff. Now that one month passed, I don't care as much so I was able to come back, take those levels and polish them a bit so I could upload them. This level used to be twice as long before the glitch occured, and also had much more stuff happening on the screen visually. So yeah, the version you get really is nothing compared to what this level used to be. And I wish this wasn't the case, especially after all the time I put into the old ver. But whatever, this is what I get for putting more time into a game than anything else.Anyway I still hope you enjoy the level. This is a sorta metaphor to depression, the goal is to get out of it, but its long, infuriating and hard, if you force your way in, try rushing, you'll just keep getting pushed back. Gamora | FunnyGame Serponge Geometry Dash 2018-03-11 | FunnyGame/GeoGame is really getting better now! This level has some pretty awesome designs, especially that wave part, I really looove it and it reminds me of some older funnygame design :)However, there's sadly a huge problem with this level, and it's the gameplay! We start with an extra long intro, that's usually never good, but if the level is easy 2 stars it can sometimes be fine. However, in this level, we start away with a section that you may die on a few times, it's not hard, but it can look confusing at first, so yeah, expect to go through that intro at least twice. Then we get to the wave, awesome designs, and very easy in term of gameplay. But then we get to a ship that can actually be kinda tricky, especially the transition that can just launch you into the spikes if you don't pay attention, same for the UFO. So yeah, the level looks awesome, but sadly the gameplay doesn't reach that level of awesomeness. Hasty | Unzor Serponge Geometry Dash 2018-03-09 | Cool fun little level by Unzor, I really like the world he created in this one, feels pretty unique yet simple. You may have already heard of this creator, I recorded another one of his level: the night! If you haven't seen it, it's a cool night in the woods themed level, here's a video of it: youtu.be/rUqpFDjrHbsAbout the level itself, I really love the first part, it has an actual ambiance with the music and the bright colored clouds, the second part is also super neat with the dancing buildings! Love the ambiance here again!I'm not that much of a fan of the later part though, while the last part before the drop is fine for me, I feel like there could be a bit more going on at the drop, especially the first part of it! An awesome remake of Fiji from Kips!This level is so polished, it's crazy, everything is clean and good, I really dont see how most of the part could be better. Super Square | XXDalmanskiXX Serponge Geometry Dash 2018-03-07 | Another Super Hexagon remake in Geometry Dash! But with a twist, this time its the square form one! The design is pretty flawless, except I would have added a few more frames to the obstacles maybe. However, for the gameplay I really think the HUD should have been less present, it makes it really hard to predict the next obstacles, and that can make this level pretty annoying and memory based at some points.
