MegaMan X4 - 12. Double perfect battle
updated
Too easy for the final boss, but at least the sound track is nice. You need to charge at Chaos at the highest speed you can, Sonic then will rise up through Chaos’ insides and nail him in the brain. If you don’t get enough speed, Sonic will get thrown out mid-way. Chaos will shoot projectiles and water beams, but they are easily avoided. They do make you steer away which makes you lose some speed.
#sonic #sonicthehedgehog #sonicadventure
Not that dangerous. In the first phase you need to be constantly moving around to avoid lasers, then use homing attack to hit Eggman, while he’s gloating like an idiot. During the second phase, when he’s throwing the wheels, just stay put, then jump in place to land on top of a wheel, then hit Eggman, while he’s gloating like an idiot.
When you defeat Egg Viper, wait for it to charge at you, then move away with Homing Attack, to avoid getting hit, otherwise it’s certain death.
#sonic #sonicthehedgehog #sonicadventure
It’s a little funny how I didn’t remember what I need to do here. You need to push ZERO into the electrified wall to fry it and expose its weak point. After the second hit, it will jump to the center of the arena and spread out its arms as ropes and spin around. Jump over the ropes while moving to dodge.
#sonic #sonicthehedgehog #sonicadventure
Nice music track. Beta Mk. II can only be damaged by hitting it in the back. If you shoot from the front, it will deflect your projectile, or dash away. After you hit it once, Beta will start shooting missiles. Make it dash away, so you have some space to shoot them all down and hit the boss in the back. On its last legs, Beta will fly up and start shooting a laser that creates explosions. Just ride around and you’ll be fine.

00:00 E-101 β
00:34 E-103 δ
01:41 E-105 ε
02:43 E-106 ζ
All of them are easy. The first three can be defeated by mashing the action button, but that’s boring, so I give them a chance to show off.
With Zeta, you need to move in the same direction the floor is spinning in and shoot down his missiles and cannons. Once all the cannons are gone, he’s toast.
#sonic #sonicthehedgehog #sonicadventure
Man, Tails has it easy. Jump over the shock waves and hit the robot’s feet, then jump on Eggman’s head. He will then jump away and throw a lot of bombs around. Just stay away. When the bombs detonate, run underneath Egg Walker, then repeat the above process.
#sonic #sonicthehedgehog #sonicadventure
00:00 Big
01:12 Sonic
02:52 Knuckles
With Notorious Big, you just need to hook Froggy for the 100th time. Chaos is supposed to jump around and create shockwaves for you to jump over, but his collision glitches for some reason. Guess even the game itself wants to move on from Big.
The actual fight starts with Sonic. Chaos can now suck you into himself to munch on you for a bit. He also has an attack where he turns into a blob and shoots out multiple tendrils (only the glowing tips deal damage), then swipe at you with his tail. To defeat him, you need to disable the small robots that Eggman spreads throughout the arena, then throw them into Chaos to freeze him, then land a hit with an attack of your choice.
It’s the same with Knuckles, except there are parts of the floor missing.

00:00 Sonic vs Gamma
00:20 Gamma vs Sonic
00:37 Tails vs Gamma
Same stuff as with Knuckles, except Gamma can shoot, making the fight against Sonic even easier.
#sonic #sonicadventure #sonicthehedgehog
This is the hardest thing to no damage in the game. I could just do the boss fight itself, but since I have to replay the whole thing if I lose anyway, I decided to do the whole thing. The enemy planes present no danger aside from possible head-on collision. I only got hit by their shots ONCE.
The actual danger are the stationary red turrets, because their projectiles are big and can easily hit you. For some reason the homing shots don’t hit them sometimes. What I do is hold A button to use lock-on and mash the X button to fire my machine gun to shoot down their projectiles. The most difficult part is on 02:19, where if you don’t blow up enough turrets, they can nail you in the back and that’s just awful.
Use the same trick for the Egg Carrier’s cannon. You can’t lock on to it, but the machinegun fire does the trick just fine.

00:00 Sonic
02:15 Tails
04:09 Knuckles
Easy, but annoying. Chaos spends most of the fight underwater and you can only damage him when he surfaces. He usually either sends an energy wave at you, or splashes water to flip the lily pads that serve as your footing. But he also has an arm swipe attack that I have never seen him use before doing this video.
#sonic #sonicthehedgehog #sonicadventure
00:00 Sonic vs Knuckles
00:20 Knuckles vs Sonic
00:41 Tails vs Knuckles
These character duels suck, there isn’t even collision damage. After you hit them, they start using another attack and that’s about it. You can block most attacks with a jump, but don’t try it with Knuckle’s punches.
#sonic #sonicadventure #sonicthehedgehog
Nasty bastard. He has a homing attack with his arm that I never managed to avoid, so I just don’t let him use it. Chaos spends most of the fight as a giant ball of water bouncing around the arena, chasing you. Once he turns back, glide into his face. He’ll try to block you, you his shield goes away before you have to glide away, so its inconsequential. Chaos can also turn into a giant puddle, though he didn’t do it this time. Just jump and glide to avoid it.
#sonicthehedgehog #sonic #sonicadventure
00:00 Sonic
01:19 Tails
About what you’d expect from an early game Eggman fight. He will fire a missile barrage, then try to ram you with spikes on the machine itself. Note that he will add another volley of missiles after each point of damage.
#sonic #sonicadventure #sonicthehedgehog
Simple warm-up. Just use Homing Attack to hit him in his brain. He has a few attacks with his arms, but they are easy to dodge. On last hit point he will start jumping on lamp posts and when he stops, he will use another easy to dodge arm attack.
#sonic #sonicadventure
If you look at his Super gauge, you'll see a different -ism icon from usual ones. This is a special, boss-exclusive -ism, that allows Bison to use his Psycho Drive Crusher super. If you aren't blocking when he does it, you can kiss most of your health goodbye. To avoid that unfortunate scenario, keep monitoring Bison's Super Gauge and go on the defensive whenever it's full. After successful block, you'll get a nice punish opportunity.
As for other advice, don't try to throw him or use close range normals unless his on recovery. Otherwise, you'll eat a throw. Don't try to jump when he's close, or he'll feed you his boot. He also seems to be more prone to letting you damage him, when he's charging his ground specials.

PAIN IN THE ASS.
00:00 Wily Machine 5
It has several attacks: 1) It spits a blue ball that bounces off the ground. It will either be shot far or it will be hopping slowly towards you. 2) It will fire three missiles that have a slight homing effect. 3) It will try to vacuum you towards it. Every time you shoot it, it will move towards you, but will stop near the left edge of the screen (so it can’t actually crush you), then move slowly back to its original position. The trick is to attack it in such a way that lets you maneuver between its movement and attacks. The safest way is to only attack it during the vacuum attack. Just remember that you have no traction in the air. You COULD attack it when it spews the hopping ball too, but I didn’t feel like it. Some other psychos also attack during the missile volley. After the destroy the Machine, comes the real pain in the ass...
02:47 Wily Capsule II
It’s easy, but how long it takes depends entirely on how cooperative Wily feels. Which is not very. The capsule appears in certain set places, drops a plasma turd that splits into two upon hitting the ground, then fires four more shots that circle around it. The circle expands then shrinks. The problem is that most of the time Wily will appear where your shots can’t reach him, which prolongs the fight to aggravating extent. And when he DOES appear where you can hit him, you can only land TWO shots. The biggest danger here is falling asleep mid-fight and getting hit, which is not only humiliating, considering how easy the attack is to avoid, but it also means that you have to fight Wily Maching 5 again.
09:07 Ending
#megaman #nodamage #retrogames
This fight certainly... exists. He will hang at the top of the screen and quickly move left and right. Stand close to the spike pit so you can easily dodge his press attack.
#megaman #nodamage #retrogames
Easy. It flies up high and occasionally fires orange balls from the top of its head, though you will only see them on their way down. They lock onto your position when the boss fires, so slide out of the way. After a while, it will stop and move to both sides one after the other and fire normal shots in your general direction as it does that. Use the rising platforms on the side to hit it more than once.
#megaman #nodamage #retrogames
Easy but can take a while. What you should do is shoot its big blue platforms to make them fly towards you. Then you jump on top of them and ride them while shooting the boss in the face. The problem is that he spews out small enemies that fall from the top of the screen. Their position is semi-random, and they can get you while you’re trying to ride the platforms, so be careful.
#megaman #nodamage #retrogames
Now this is a cool boss. And he’s red to boot! He has DarkMan 2’s shields, except he can throw them to his sides, he will then jump to the other side, his shield will return to him as he lands. His other attack is a volley of three shots that are easily dodged by either jumping, or jump-slide-jump combo.
#megaman #nodamage #retrogames
There’s a little trick to this fight. When you shoot him as he’s walking, it will cause him to jump in the air and fire a volley of shots. Once he’s close enough, he will fire three rings in a spread. If they touch you, you’ll be frozen in place, leaving you open for another volley. However, if you stand near him in a certain way, you can easily jump over the rings. Rinse and repeat until he’s dead.
#megaman #nodamage #retrogames
This battle... exists. Just jump over him in time and you’ll be fine. He starts moving faster as you damage him, just like the first DarkMan, but it’s the same shit throughout the whole fight.
#megaman #nodamage #retrogames
Okay, this is a little hard. He starts off moving slowly (and menacingly) towards you. After a set period of time passes, he stops and shoots. Whenever you damage him, he will also stop and shoot you, resetting the attack timer. Sounds easy enough, but as you damage him, he starts moving faster and faster. You HAVE to get him to move at a faster speed, or you won’t be able to jump over him when he closes in on you. The trick after that is to maintain a certain rhythm between your movement and shots that you don’t let him corner you with either his own movement, or his shot.
#megaman #nodamage #retrogames
One of my favorite Robot Master designs in the series. Too bad he’s easy. He will start by firing three missiles, after which it’s a matter of staying relatively close to him and dodging the Napalm Bombs.
Why do his Napalm Bombs explode when they collide with the floor, but yours bounce?!
#megaman #nodamage #retrogames
The only Robot Master that can be even remotely hard. Once the battle starts, he will fire his Crystal Eye, which then splits into four smaller projectiles that will bounce off walls for some time. The first time it’s easy to dodge, just follow what’s on the video. But if you don’t want him to use it again, stay close and slide under his jumps. He will occasionally fire a normal shot, but it’s telegraphed well, so it shouldn’t be a problem.
#megaman #nodamage #retrogames
He has two attacks:
1) He shoots a Gyro blade that angles upwards when you jump over it.
2) He’ll fly up, shoot a Gyro blade from up above, that doesn’t angle upwards when you jump over it, then tries to land on you.
Both attacks are easy to avoid.
#megaman #nodamage #retrogames
Damn, I’m such a poor shot in this fight, it’s embarrassing. Anyway, GravityMan moves and attacks in a set pattern without fail. As soon as you remember that, you’re good.
#megaman #nodamage #retrogames
This guy can trick you if you’re not careful. He will cast his Star Barrier, then try to goomba-stomp you. Occasionally he will throw the barrier at you, but it’s slow and easy to avoid. Rinse and repeat until he’s dead and be prepared to dodge the barrier.
#megaman #nodamage #retrogames
Another easy one. He starts the fight by spawning a single Water Wave current, that gushes in place and deflects your shots. He is limited as to where he can spawn them depending on your position. After he’s done with that, he’ll shoot a harpoon at you, then immediately jump slightly behind your current position, then repeats the pattern. The WW currents can be shot through if you position yourself close enough.
#megaman #nodamage #retrogames
Not particularly hard, unless you’re really unlucky. His MO is to charge at you full speed, during which he’s invincible. Once you jump over him, he’ll stop and walk slowly towards you. After walking some distance, he’ll spew out a few burning coals, that will fall from the top of the screen in semi-random manner. You need to jump over him in a specific place, like I do in the video, to keep the loop bearable.
#megaman #nodamage #retrogames
The easiest boss in the game. When the fight starts, he will use his Power Stone attack and jump towards you. I hope you liked it, because you won’t see it again, ‘cause he only uses it from far away, I think. Otherwise he’ll try to goomba-stomp you, which is easy to avoid. Whenever he jumps high, he will fall apart and become invincible.

just kidding, we're fighting Akuma. This piece of shit is one of the hardest bosses I've fought. He is basically a shotoclone, except he's faster than all other characters, hits so hard a single Gou Shoryuken can knock out 1/3 of your health, like you're playing SF1 or some shit. But wait, there's more! He even recovers from hit stun before your attack's recovery ended, then follows up with something painful.
The best moments to attack is when he jumps forward and throws Zankuu Hadoukens - move under the projectiles and attack with 2HP; when he throws a grounded Hadouken - jump over it then j.HK him in the face, then do a sweep to lock him out of counter attacking; when he does Ashura Senkuu - do a sweep or do other attacks that knock him down.
When you play with Ken specifically, for some reason Akuma does not know how to respond, when you miss with Shoryuu Reppa, at which point, if you land near him, you can do a throw that he rarely techs.
All other moments that look like a moment for an attack are risky and he usually retaliates. Worst case scenario, he will nail you with c.HP-Gou Shoryuken and take off about 70% of your life.
And to add insult to injury, I'm playing the English version, where the AI is always on Hardest difficulty, regardless of what you chose in the game's setting, which makes just getting here a pain in the ass, and I don't want to do this ever again.

After you win 2 rounds, Dong Dong will join you in a merry gank match, where you can coordinate attacks with him to pull off some cool combos.
#DongDongNeverDie #DongDongTheImmortalLegend
The best bet is to punish his jumping normals, Tatsumaki special and super and wake-up attack.
#DongDongNeverDie #DongDongTheImmortalLegend
Rugal's biggest weakness is his own special: Vanishing Rush. Normal versions have enough recovery for you to retaliate with a DP or a command throw. EX version recovers too quick, though. That means that you can beat him easily by staying on the defensive.
His other weakness is his Reflector special: he holds it longer than the playable Rugal can, so it's very easy to react to, when he uses it. You can either use a super, or, in case of K', Blackout behind him and do a full combo.
God Press is his third weakness. It can be blocked and punished with a full combo. They should've made it an unblockable grab instead.
Now, he has one very dangerous attack: his grab super, that eats 50% health and gets you instantly if you're too close. If he did it from far away, he will menacingly walk towards you... but you can simply jump over him.
#TheKingOfFightersXV #KoFXV #KingOfFightersXVOmegaRugal
She also has several supers: a rain of crystals and a grab. Supposedly, she also has a black hole-like projectile super, but I never saw her use it.
After you deplete her HP gauge, she will go into the final phase, which makes her more aggressive and prone to using combos. It also doubles her attack and defense. Normally, that K' combo would kill her, but increased defense saved her.

00:00 Phase One
Her attacks here are easy to dodge simply by rolling. The only attack you really should be careful with is when she disappears and then starts bouncing along the screen.
01:18 Second Phase
She gains new attacks. The first one is two triangles that then unravel in a spiral, which can be easily dodged by standing in the center of the arena. The second one is a prolonged explosion which is always preceded by a red attack prompt. Just stay away and you'll be fine. Her other attacks also become enhanced, giving her larger hitboxes on her projectiles and creates new projectiles when she teleports by slamming herself into the ground, so don't get too caught up in hitting her.
03:52 Third Phase
Apparently, she always uses her attacks in the same order. The big shot and projectile barrage can be easily dodged with a single roll.
#Momodora #MomodoraReverieUndertheMoonlight #MomodoraRUtMBossesNoDamage
00:00 Duchess Lupiar
The fight starts with Lupiar attacking you directly and Magnolia occasionally shooting arrows from above. Lupiar's attacks are actually pretty easy to dodge by rolling away of through her. No, the most dangerous thing she can do is HER GODDAMN ROLL. It's quick and can easily get you after your own roll. While you fight Lupiar, try to stay away from the center of the arena while Magnolia is on screen. When you see Lupiar charge her ground slam while you're both in the corner, simply roll through her.
01:40 Royal Huntress Magnolia
Once Lupiar is dead, you will fight Magnolia. She only has two attacks. For the first one she teleports behind you to stab you in the back with her knife. This attack is always preceded by an attack prompt, so it's easily dodged.
Her second attack is summoning two projectiles that fly directly up, then fall down, which is also preceded by an attack prompt. She only uses this attack when she's on screen. Then the dangerous part, when she uses this attack, she will teleport behind you almost instantly, dealing collision damage. When you see her preparing the projectile attack, be ready to jump to avoid damage.
#Momodora #MomodoraReverieUndertheMoonlight #MomodoraRUtMBossesNoDamage
At around 50% she will teleport to the center of the arena and start phase two. During it, she will fire projectiles as an expanding circle (always preceded by a RED attack prompt). She also can create four projectiles that quickly fall to your current position. Both of these attacks can be easily rolled through. The problem is the third new attack: a rain of projectiles that look like soap bars. If you're not careful, you can trap yourself in a corner and not be able to dodge properly. The attack is preceded by a white attack prompt above your current position. You'll need to learn to maneuver in a way that doesn't let the soap bar rain trap you.
#Momodora #MomodoraReverieUndertheMoonlight MomodoraRUtMBossesNoDamage
When you deplete about 1/3 of her health, the second phase will start, at which point she gains a new attack in her normal combo: a spinning jump slash. Dodge it by rolling under her, while she's in the air.
#Momodora #MomodoraReverieUndertheMoonlight #MomodoraRUtMBossesNoDamage
She only has three attack, two of which only affect her immediate vicinity. What you should be on a look out for are the fast moving fireballs. When they reach you, they stop moving and create a pillar of fire, with the boss teleporting inside them one by one as they explode. The best thing to do here is to jump over the fireballs and wait for the boss to appear, then attack. Just be careful and don't trap yourself in the corner.
#Momodora #MomodoraReverieUndertheMoonlight #MomodoraRUtMBossesNoDamage
#Momodora #MomodoraReverieUndertheMoonlight #MomodoraRUtMBossesNoDamage
The one thing dangerous about this boss is her teleports. Which are easily dealt with by going against common sense and sitting in the corner. The boss won't be able to spawn on top of you and will only summon one dog at a time, making the fight even easier.
#Momodora #MomodoraReverieUndertheMoonlight #MomodoraRUtMBossesNoDamage
00:00 Moka
Moka mostly jumps around without doing anything, and her attacks barely require any effort to avoid. She sometimes gets pretty brave and hops up towards to... trap you in the corner I guess. But mostly she will try to stay away.
01:33 Lubella
She is easy as well. She only has two easy to dodge attacks. One is four big projectiles that fall to the ground in specific spots, which can easily be avoided simply by standing between her... err, "hurtboxes". The second one is a valley of projectiles that is easily dodged by rolling.
#Momodora #MomodoraReverieUndertheMoonlight #MomodoraBossesNoDamage
#Momodora #MomodoraReverieUnderTheMoonlight #MomodoraRUtMBossesNoDamage
But THE worst thing about this boss is that when he's down to the last segment of HP gauge, he will use a special item, that grants him super armor and immunity to status effects and FINISHERS (not to throws though). The best thing to do here is to simply stay away from him, while it's active, and move in for the kill once its effect is over.
