CTA L Train System : 2023 Allstate Holiday Train On The Red Line @ Argyle Station Caitsith810 2024-05-22 | Taken on December 5th, 2023 during my week-long trip to Chicago to check out the Holiday Bus & Train festivities. Seen here is the 2023 Allstate Holiday Train operating on the Red Line to 95th/Dan Ryan arriving & departing from Argyle Station. One of the coolest things about the CTA is that during the holiday season, they run two things, a holiday bus which is often an articulated bus on various lines, and a holiday train, which runs on every line(on different days) for the month that it is running. This is one of the few systems in the country that actually goes all-out for their holiday celebrations. The holiday train consists of six Budd 2600-Series cars, and a flatbed car which was made out to be Santa's Sleigh. LACMTA Metro Rail : Wilshire/Western Bound Breda A650 D Train @ 7th Street/Metro Center Station Caitsith810 2024-05-01 | Taken on October 4th, 2023 during my trip to Southern California by way of Los Angeles & San Diego.Seen here is a 4-car train of Breda A650s operating on the D line to Wilshire/Western arriving & departing from 7th Street/Metro Center Station.Hilariously enough, LA's Metro Rail System also has colored bullets and lettered lines just like NYMTA. They even have their own A bullet that's a shade or two darker than our A bullet!On the flip side, also a sad side.....the B & D lines are two very sketchy lines in the system.
