Nordic Fantasy Music - Pride of the Scillin Adrian von Ziegler 2024-07-07 | This is a new song for my Inra Fantasy Soundtrack, and the first instalment which is not about the Inra, but about a foreign people called the Scillin. The lyrics are also written in the Scillin language, which I'm developing together with Inra, but is not yet as comprehensive and fleshed-out. This song took a ton of work, and was actually as much a linguistic effort as it was a musical one. Celtic Music - Tale of the Gaels Adrian von Ziegler 2024-06-09 | I read years ago that Ireland was once almost fully covered by an ancient forest, and that knowledge has stayed in my mind ever since. I think it makes me incredibly sad that this primordial forest is now gone for ever, and none of us knows how the island must have once looked. Anyway, I tried to imagine the Gaels beginning their history in that place, and how it must have shaped their minds and their lives, and this song is the result.PS: Man this is so embarrassing, but it was bound to happen after composing almost 500 songs through 15 years... guys, this song here is based on the same melody demo from my older song Fairy Tale! I have hundreds of melody demos, and I forgot that I used this one already because I almost never listen to my own music, so I COMPLETELY forgot how Fairy Tale even sounds! 1 Hour of Relaxing Celtic Harp Music Adrian von Ziegler 2024-04-07 | A new 1 hour long Celtic harp improvisation I made this week. The basis of the song is a melody that I improvised in my "1 Hour of Sad Piano" video, and every time I heard it I got such strong flashbacks of the time we first met, and it quickly became kind of like my "falling in love melody", hard to explain in words. Groups of people started dancing erratically, sometimes thousands at a time, and many danced until they collapsed. The title of the song is the German name of this dancing mania. I aimed to compose a song which sounds on the surface like a party tune, but with a vague atmosphere of fear underneath. I didn't feel very good recently and it basically paralysed me mentally for quite a while, and when I managed to climb out of that hole I started working on this song here, which is so massive that it's kind of like making 4 songs at once, so it just took a long time to be ready.^^This song is the sequel to Ótroðinn and part of my next Viking album, which will be centred around Odin and his travels. The name of the song, Rúnatýr, means "God of Runes" in Old Norse and is one of the many names of Odin. Since the song is the sequel to Ótroðinn the aim was to make it a relaxing, meditative composition, but I think I got overly excited at times and so parts of this song became a bit more intense.^^ I first wanted to change things around again to make it more calm, but I decided against it in the end, I felt that I needed to follow only my instincts in order to create the piece that my subconscious was telling me to make.
