Open from the 10pm newscast on Hearst's ABC affiliate out of Kansas City. Recorded on Monday, October 6, 2025.
Just shy of a couple weeks after launching the new D25 graphics package, KMBC has changed their voiceover to Steve Stone to bring them in line with most of the rest of the Hearst group. Previously, Stone had been the voiceover for KCTV5. They switched to a different, unknown voiceover as a result. John Pleisse was the voiceover of KMBC 9 News before.
The day before, the station was one of seven Hearst station to launch the new D25 graphics package.

Open from the 11pm newscast on Sinclair's Fox affiliate in Omaha, Nebraska, recorded on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. The newscast is produced by their sister station in Kearney, KHGI (ABC affiliate), which has been known as NTV for decades.
Sometime in the past week or two, KPTM added this newscast. Like all of NTV's other newscasts, it follows an anchorless format. This allows them to tailor the newscast to the Omaha market as much as they can without actually having a presence there. So many of the stories including the lead story focus on Lincoln or the University of Nebraska (in terms of sports) since Lincoln is a lot closer to Omaha than Kearney is. There's also a custom Omaha metro weather forecast. The rest of the news stories are otherwise national or from rural Nebraska that may be of interest to the Omaha audience. NTV did not add any Omaha reporters for this, so no local news from Omaha is covered.
The same anchorless format has been covered on this channel before. WKEF, KTXS, and KVII also use it in addition to NTV, and it's the same exact format here too.
Graphics are TABS which is Sinclair's standard package, music is their custom theme from Warner Chappell Production Music, and Lance Hildebrand is the voiceover.

On that day at 12pm, WXYZ became the group's third station to launch their new 2025 graphics package designed by Defiant (the firm formerly known as Vivid Zero before they split from SmithGeiger). The music, called "Scripps 2025" is produced by 11 One Music with some contributions from Scripps' in-house composer. Brian Lee is the station voiceover artist.

Open and the rejoin from the 11pm newscast on Hearst's NBC affiliate out of Cincinnati. Recorded on Thursday, September 25, 2025 (or technically Friday, September 26th since this was the late night rebroadcast).
On that day's noon newscast, the station was one of seven to launch the new D25 graphics that were launched earlier this year, first at WCVB.
The graphics were produced by Defiant, formerly Vivid Zero, but with heavy input from Hearst's internal design hub based out of Orlando. It continues to be based on the design language originally developed by National Ministry of Design in 2012 for the first iteration of the package, which evolved into the second iteration that was developed internally by HTV Design. Music remains "Strive" by In The Groove. Steve Stone remains the station voiceover.

Open from the 11pm newscast on Hearst's NBC affiliate out of Burlington, Vermont — Plattsburgh, New York. Recorded on Friday, September 26 2025.
The day before, the station was one of seven Hearst station to launch the new D25 graphics package. Unlike the others, WPTZ opted to continue using the cold open sequence which is an update Hearst pushed out to their stations last year. No new opens were made matching the new graphics package, but the rest of the elements were implemented here.

Brief montage including the open, two mentions of the new set (which were verbatim word-for-word), and the close from the 10pm newscast on the CBS affiliate in Tulsa, Oklahoma, recorded on Saturday, September 27, 2025. The station is owned by Griffin Media.
This is the first newscast on the CBS side with the station's brand new set, which was a carbon copy of the set sister station KWTV in Oklahoma City debuted last year. The set was designed by Devlin Design Group and was made to replace the FX Group set that was original to KOTV's building and also based on a set KWTV debuted in 2006 and also used by KWTV until 2022. It did debut on the 9pm newscast on KQCW, but opted for this show since it was more directly mentioned here. Unlike KWTV, KOTV had no problem showing off the new digs, whereas KWTV took mostly tight shots on their first night with this set.
It is noted that apparently Griffin was never satisfied with the set FX did for them in 2022 when they moved to downtown Oklahoma City, which is why KOTV never received that design. It's also why the company quickly ditched it for a new design altogether. It's now being used by University of Oklahoma's OU Nightly program. Meanwhile, KOTV's outgoing set was donated to Oklahoma State University for their use.
Once again, KOTV and KWTV once again match visually, which makes it easier for sharing purposes and the occasional simulcast.
The graphics, debuted last and year designed by Vivid Zero (now Defiant) remain in use, as does the music (CBS Enforcer) and voiceover (Doc Morgan).

Cunningham Broadcasting owns the station and does some operations itself like promotions, scheduling, and sales, while news production and technical aspects are handled by Sinclair's NBC affiliate, WJAC.
On Monday, both WWCP and sister station WATM received new voiceovers (both named John coincidentally). WWCP picked up John Pleisse, while WATM got John French. Both replace an unknown male voiceover that was used previously.
The same graphics, an updated version of Sinclair's previous "Curves" graphics package, and music, Sinclair's custom theme from Warner Chappell Production Music, remain in use.

Open from the 12pm newscast on Hearst's ABC affiliate serving the state of New Hampshire, based in Manchester. Recorded on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
WMUR serves as a secondary ABC affiliate in the Boston, Massachusetts market, but is not the market's primary affiliate. That's sister station WCVB, with which there is heavy resource sharing. The two stations co-exist by serving two completely different regions of the market. WCVB serves Boston itself and the greater metro, while WMUR focuses on New Hampshire, being the only television news operation in the state. The programming outside of news is largely duplicated. WMUR and WCVB's signals have some overlap but not totally since the transmitters are in different locations. Both stations can be seen marketwide on satellite, OTT services, and some, not all, cable providers depending on location.
This would be the debut newscast for WMUR's use of the new D25 graphics package making them the third station to do so. WCVB was the first to pick up the graphics back in July. They also assimilated in terms of music, dropping the custom Hearst Classic theme for Strive, which is used by the rest of the group.
Jeff Berlin remains the station voiceover.

Open and first block from the mid-morning lifestyle and sales show that airs on Philadelphia's CW O&O owned by Nexstar. Recorded on Monday, September 8, 2025. As a bonus, the segment from the morning news introducing the two hosts is included as well.
This would be the first show, supplementing the morning news WPHL produces. WPHL is live in the mornings, has local weekend programming featuring the morning news personalities, but their evening news continues to come from WPVI to this day, which has helped them compete effectively with WTXF's original 10pm news product.
Graphics are Nexstar's LS-9 graphics package that debuted last month at KIAH for their HTOWN Live show. Music is an unknown library track.
Hosted by Rachel Malak and Abby Urban. Both are newcomers to the market with Malak coming from sister station WBRE in the adjacent Wilkes-Barre/Scranton market, where she did their lifestyle show "PA Live!", while Urban comes from WXIX in Cincinnati where she co-hosted the short-lived "Now in the Nati" (when she departed the station, the show was abruptly canceled without finding replacement hosts).

Monday morning, the station launched the new "Circa" graphics package on their early newscasts. This is the first CBS affiliate and third station overall (after KRON and KIAH) to pick up the graphics. They were designed by freelancer Jon Berry and implemented by Nexstar's Nashville Design Center. They kept their long-running "360" music package from Stephen Arnold, and Josh Goodman for voiceover.

Open and close from the final 10pm newscast as Charlotte's CW affiliate. The station is owned by Bahakel Communications and the following day, became an independent station. This was recorded on Sunday, August 31, 2025.
Nexstar pulled the CW affiliation in four markets, basically to take the affiliation from competing stations and place it on stations they owned. This was quite unfortunate for WCCB as they were pretty loyal to The CW, especially under Nexstar, and played along with all of their programming and branding changes. It had to hurt having the carpet pulled out from under them like that, but so is the reality of the television business. This was not the first time this happened, as WCCB also lost Fox over a decade ago after being a loyal affiliate to the network since the beginning, under similar circumstances.
WCCB is now left to navigate life as an independent station in 2025, the first time in almost 40 years it has had to work without a network. Unlike some of the other affiliation changes happening this year, this one did not appear to be their choice, but they've worked with it, expanding news programming and hiring back a few former personalities to be a part of their new expansion.
The CW moved to Nexstar's WMYT the next day. Nexstar did not offer MyNetworkTV to WCCB in return and instead kept it for themselves, moving that programming to WJZY's 46.8 subchannel.
This would also be the station's last newscast with these graphics and music. The graphics and music debuted in 2021 if I recall correctly. The graphics package was developed in-house, and this team produces the graphics for all of Bahakel's other stations as well. The music is clearly a custom composition, but the company that made it is unknown. This most recent update debuted in 2021, but the original package debuted in 2008 when the station debuted HD news production. That's also when this set debuted. The station no longer uses this set, as mentioned by the anchor in the close. The station's morning news set is now being used for all of the shows. Bob Tracey remains the voiceover artist as he has been since 2002.
The following day, a new look and logo was debuted. The custom theme was also retired after 17 years total in favor of several production music tracks. This red/black logo, held over from the Fox Charlotte era, was also finally retired in favor of a brand new identity based around the newer "WCCB Charlotte" logo minus the CW logo.
Marvin Beach anchors. Meteorologist Lyndsay Williamson provides the forecast. She used to be a meteorologist at WBTV until 2019 under the name Lyndsay Tapases (has since gotten married). She has since freelanced for other local stations, originally WSOC, before switching to WCCB a few years later.

Open for the new fourth hour of the weekend morning newscast on Hearst's NBC affiliate in Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne, Florida. Recorded on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Sister CW station WKCF simulcasts this newscast and this is where it was recorded from.
This is the first newscast, triggered by the cancellation of Matter of Fact. The station moved Meet The Press up an hour to 10am to accomodate the new 9am hour.
The same graphics, music, and voiceover (Steve Stone) are being used.
Anchored by Nancy Alvarez and weather from meteorologist Cam Tran. Alvarez will not be the regular anchor for this newscast, with Lindsey Sablan, formerly of WINK, being hired to fill the role and making her debut soon.
The open is preceded by an ID for WKCF. Tony Russell is that station's voice and has been for 26 years, dating back to the WB18 days. Surprisingly, the station still has a bit of its own identity, which is not too common in a duopoly situation such as this where the parent station's branding is the dominant one.

Open for the 11pm newscast on Nexstar's CW O&O in Cleveland, Ohio, produced by sister Fox affiliate WJW, recorded on Monday, September 1, 2025.
This would be the first newscast the station is producing for the newly minted CW O&O, which Nexstar acquired last year. On September 1st, Nexstar took the CW affiliation away from stations in several markets owned by competitors and placed it on their stations. This reunites WBNX with the network, since they lost it in 2017 to WUAB, due to several issues facing the station's previous owner.
This newscast is formatted in an interesting way. The broadcast felt pre-recorded (not sure when) and not live. It could have been recorded during the 9pm hour would be my guess. It also led with weather and sports in the first block, then came back with news the rest of the half-hour. And by leading with weather, I'm not talking about a forecast first type segment. This was literally the full weather forecast, and the only time weather would be featured. I don't know if this is the regular format, or was only done this way because of the holiday. I haven't checked back since to be honest.
Graphics are the same as the parent station, a package held over from Tribune. Music is "Beyond" from Stephen Arnold, and Beau Weaver is the voiceover artist. He also voices the promos for both WJW and WBNX as well, although Fox 8 also uses Jeff Laurence and has for many years.
The weather is presented by meteorologist Mackenzie Bart.

On August 18th at 3pm, the station launched GrayONE, along with "Inergy" from Stephen Arnold for music, replacing "Guardian" (I actually liked the cuts they were using). Malcolm Ryker remains the voiceover artist.

Open from the 11pm newscast on Hearst's NBC affiliate in the Southwest Florida market of Fort Myers-Naples, recorded on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
On August 28th at 11am, WBBH launched the new D25 graphics package making them the second station to do so. It's basically a refined version of the D24 package they launched exactly one year ago, and this will be the version all the stations will be getting now. WCVB was the first to launch it back in July.
The music continues to be "Strive". The original package was produced by In The Groove Music, but these newer updates, which WBBH debuted last year, sound like they were composed by a different vendor (DreamArtists Music perhaps, but unconfirmed). Eric Gordon remains the voiceover for the station.
WBBH and WZVN continue to produce distinct newscasts at the same timeslots that do compete at times, but with the same branding, which can get a bit confusing. After having their own branding for decades, they were consolidated this year to just "Gulf Coast". They are differentiated with the network branding (NBC/ABC) only. So Gulf Coast NBC/Gulf Coast ABC, or Gulf Coast News on (network).

Opens for the 6pm and 10pm newscasts on Gray’s CBS affiliate in the Sherman/Denison, Texas - Ada/Durant/Ardmore, Oklahoma market, recorded on Friday, August 29, 2025.
On that morning's newscast (rare morning and Friday launch), the station debuted GrayONE for graphics along with a new circle 12 logo that resurrects the 12 numeral used from 1992 until 2006. The station remains loyal to SpotVoice for its voiceover services, but switched from Glenn Hansen to Steve Davis. Finally, they had a music change, replacing U-Phonix for Canvas. Both packages are produced by Stephen Arnold Music.
KXII dominates this small market, located in between the Dallas and Oklahoma City markets, both about 60 to 90 minutes away depending on where you're at in the market.

Open from WANF's very first newscast without CBS, recorded on Saturday, August 16, 2025. The station serves as the flagship and "model station" for Gray Media, who is also based in Atlanta.
The station's final primetime program as a CBS affiliate was a repeat of "After Midnight" at 12:37am. CBS moved to their owned station WUPA the next morning. WANF charts its new life now as a news intensive independent, while CW affiliate WPCH (the former WTBS) is presented as more of the entertainment station in the duopoly, but also simulcasts some ANF newscasts.
Graphics are a custom version of GrayONE with a separate open sequence. Music is "Unite" from Stephen Arnold Music, and Dave Hoffmann is the voiceover artist.

Open for the 5pm newscast on Scripps' ABC affiliate in Tampa, Florida, recorded on Monday, August 18, 2025. Serving the entire Bay Area including St. Petersburg.
Today at 4pm, the station launched a new brand, dropping the 23-year-old ABC Action News branding in favor of Tampa Bay 28, as the channel number makes a comeback also after 23 years. A new logo accompanied the rebrand.
The same graphics and music (that debuted earlier this year) are retained. David Kaye remains the voiceover artist as well.

Open for the 4pm newscast on Gray's Fox affiliate in Cincinnati, Ohio, recorded on Monday, August 18, 2025.
Today at 3pm, the station launched their take on GrayONE. As it is a "First Alert Weather Day" (marketing term used to signify what the station deems as severe or impactful weather), the station did not run the regular open, so I don't know what that looks like just yet, but will keep an eye on it. The station is using what sounds like "Inergy" from Stephen Arnold for music, and Malcolm Ryker is the voiceover artist.

Open and launch promos for the retitled morning newscast on Nexstar's CW O&O in Houston, Texas, recorded on Monday, August 18, 2025.
Today, the station made changes to its morning show, dropping the "No Wait Weather and Traffic" brand and format, and moving to a more traditional news format. They also implemented a new brand, "HTOWN Morning News", and adjusted the airtime from 5.30 to 9 to 7 to 10, with the 6am hour replaced by Morning In America from NewsNation.
Accompanying the change is a new graphics package, Circa, which originally launched last year at KRON and was designed by freelancer Jon Berry. KIAH is the first station in the group to launch it. There was also a color palette change to match the morning news vibe. The music remains the same, "Canvas" from Stephen Arnold. No voiceover is used in the open.

Paid programming disclaimer that airs at the beginning of paid programming slots on Sunbeam's Fox affiliate in Miami, Florida. Recorded Sunday August 3, 2025.
Includes a typical disclaimer letting you know that WSVN and its management do not endorse the claims made in the program, so if you get sucked into the products or services later on, WSVN will not claim liability if your experience was terrible. Since they really want you to know the time was paid for, they also run an in-program message at the start as well (included here). I thought that was part of this infomercial but no, this is overlayed on every single one on this station.

Open from the 10pm newscast on Scripps' Fox affiliate in the Grand Rapids-Kalamazoo-Battle Creek, Michigan market, recorded on Monday, August 4, 2025. As an added bonus, preceded by a promo marketing the station's new news format.
The week before, WXMI unveiled a new open style, and also reformatted their newscasts to Scripps' "Neighborhood News" format. This involved the elimination of sports and traffic as well, with those anchors being reassigned to "neighborhood reporters" as well. This is the same open style a lot of their smaller market fully-Scrippscasted/anchorless stations use, but some of the larger markets have picked it up recently. However WXMI is using their original music and a voiceover (Josh Goodman) as well.

Morning news update taken during the 7.25am window during "Good Morning America" on the new ABC affiliate in Miami-Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Broadcasting on the second channel of Sunbeam Fox affiliate WSVN. Recorded Monday, August 4, 2025.
All of ABC Miami's news output is just a simulcast of WSVN's newscast, which pretty much was expected. Since WSVN has a long-running local morning newscast in this slot, they air what appears to be pre-recorded news updates in those slots on ABC while the news is live on WSVN. This also includes a custom weather forecast for the ABC channel only (note the ABC logo in place of the iconic WSVN 7 in some places there).
Anchors are Ethan Calloway, Lorena Estrada, and weather from meteorologist Erika Delgado.

Open and close from WPLG's very last newscast as an ABC affiliate, recorded on Sunday, August 3, 2025. WPLG, Inc., a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, owns the station.
The station's final primetime program as an ABC affiliate was the movie "Freaky Friday", which the station unceremoniously dumped out of two minutes early to start their 11pm news. That being said, the station was still technically the ABC affiliate for a few more hours, as they did carry ABC's "World News Now" and "GMA First Look" one final time before bowing out of ABC for good. WSVN 7.2 then began its tenure as the ABC affiliate at 4.30am by also carrying "GMA First Look" before launching news simulcasts of WSVN's existing newscasts.
The affiliation switch is mentioned at the very end of the newscast and that is included here as well for posterity.
Graphics are Graham's group graphics package that WPLG was the launch station for a few months ago. Graham does not own or operate the station but does provide select services on WPLG's behalf due to past ownership." The One and Only" from Gari is the music, and Beau Weaver is the voiceover artist.

Open for the brand new 9pm newscast from newly-minted independent station WPLG in Miami-Fort Lauderdale, Florida. WPLG, Inc., a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, owns the station. Recorded Monday, August 4, 2025.
Uses a custom open sequence that deviates from their other shows. The 10pm news also uses this open style as well. Clearly an in-house job. The Graham group graphics are otherwise used (the station is not owned by Graham and is managed entirely separately, but a sharing services agreement is in place for Graham to provide the station's graphics and other services in exchange for space inside the WPLG building). "The One and Only" from Gari remains the music, and Beau Weaver remains the voiceover artist.

Legal/station ID from the new ABC affiliate in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale, Florida market, recorded Monday, August 4, 2025. The station is owned by Sunbeam Television and originates on the second channel of Fox affiliate WSVN. It also simulcasts on low-power station WDFL, which gives them a marketable .1 channel position (18).
This is from the first day of the station's ABC affiliation as it took the network over from long-term affiliate WPLG on August 4th at 4:30am. Before that, WPLG had been the only English commercial network station in the market that never changed its affiliation.
Paul Turner is the voiceover.

Open for the brand new international and national news focused 6:30pm newscast from newly-minted independent station WPLG in Miami-Fort Lauderdale, Florida. WPLG, Inc., a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, owns the station. Recorded Monday, August 4, 2025. Also includes the 6pm news close that promotes the new World News.
Not surprisingly, the new program draws heavily after ABC's World News Tonight, with a very similar style, pacing, and title card. The newscast relies mostly on their bureau reporters and CNN Newsource packages. They are really playing heavily into the "locally-produced, not from New York" angle and it will be interesting to see if this works long term. WPLG had been the ABC affiliate until 4.30am, when the company declined to renew their contract due to increased affiliation rates. ABC moved their programming to a subchannel of WSVN as a result.
Graphics are pretty sharp and likely produced internally (this station continues to remain the base for Graham Media's graphics despite that company selling WPLG over a decade ago). Music sounds like a production music track. Voiceover is Beau Weaver.
In this day and age, local stations really need to evolve and plan for a future without a network affiliate. Though personally I probably would've pursued a route that featured more local lifestyle and entertainment programs and not mostly reliant on news, I still give WPLG credit for doubling down on local news and continuing to invest in their product and the local community. This is a bold move that I hope pays off for them.

The station launched a new graphics package today on the noon news. Thanks to @SunsetAreaWX for the tip! The graphics look really sharp, not surprised if it was done internally. Music remains "Momentum News" from former Salt Lake City-based music company Non-Stop Music. Voiceover continues to be Beau Weaver.

Here's a promo as well as a news story from this morning's news on WSVN that promote the station's acquisition of ABC affiliation rights for the South Florida market beginning tomorrow. Recorded Sunday, August 3, 2025. Sunbeam locally owns the station.
I would've included more promos but to be honest WSVN didn't run too many throughout the seven or so hours I recorded. If I had planned this better I probably could've gotten more but others have posted the other promos anyway.
On March 20th, longtime ABC affiliate WPLG announced that it could not come to terms with ABC on renewing the affiliation agreement after it had expired at the end of 2024. That same day, WSVN 7.2 was announced as the new affiliate. WPLG cited rising costs from the network, and stated that it would rather invest this money into expanded local news and extra staff, which is exactly what they did. That station is retaining its existing syndicated programming. Sunbeam has decided to lease the main channel of low powered station WDFL on 18.1, primarily to give the ABC stream a marketable channel number of 18, though 7.2 is still the main affiliate and a full-power signal.
ABC Miami will simulcast most WSVN newscasts and will also have syndicated programming in the afternoon block.
Paul Turner is the voiceover for ABC Miami. Turner was originally intended to be the replacement voiceover for Scott Chapin when he retired the first time in 2011, however the station chose to bring Chapin back when he unretired a year or two later. However, Sunbeam never cut ties with Turner and continued to use him for other purposes including voicing their CW station in Boston. As a result of Sunbeam adding a second program feed in Miami, he will now fill that role there as well. When Chapin retired the second time a year and a half ago, Jim Cutler took over this time as the main station voice for WSVN and WHDH.
The changes begin on Monday, August 4th.
