Hello everyone once again! In today's car commercial, or shall I say "truck" commercial of the past, we have a 1998 Nissan Frontier pickup truck featured. In this commercial, we'll see how far a dog, will go for its owner to purchase a Nissan Frontier. Lets get into specifications about the truck, shall we?
The base engine for the 1998 Frontier was a 2.4 Liter, Inline 4 Cylinder Engine that produced 143 Horsepower, at 5,200 RPM with 154 FT-LB of Torque at 4,000 RPM. The optional engine was a 3.3 Liter, 6 Cylinder Engine that produced 170 Horsepower, at 4,800 RPM with 202 FT-LB of Torque at 2,800 RPM.
The 1998 Frontier came in two transmission types; a base 5 speed manual, or an optional 4 speed automatic transmission.
The drivetype was Rear Wheel Drive, with 4 wheel drive being an option.
The Frontier came in 2 body styles, the regular 2 door base cab, or the 2 door extended cab. Curb Weight for the base Frontier came in at 2,911 LBs. Expect to add on 100-500 LBs more to the curb weight of the truck, if options are added and/or body style is changed.
The base price for the 2 door regular cab Frontier came in at $13,190 in 1998, adjusting to $18,399 for 2016. Reasonable for the time.
