This is a very short clip from one of the few Kinescopes of an actual 1950s NFL television broadcast. There is no sound. Most footage of NFL football from this era is movie film. The actual TV broadcasts were not videotaped (because videotape had not yet been invented) and there was no demand for re-broadcast, so Kinescopes of the entire game were not made. The source of this video is actually an amateur movie maker who filmed the screen of their TV set using a home movie camera (which is why there is no sound). This resulted in very strong noise bars that makes it difficult to watch. I was able to remove these noise bars by creating a workflow that is described here:
