What did a hunter actually carry into the woods in the 1920s? And what clothing did they rely on to stay comfortable during long days of hunting?
In this video we take a closer look at real 1920s hunting gear and clothing, including a compass, sheath knife, .22 rifle cleaning kit, belt pouch with contents, and the everyday items hunters carried in their jacket and pants pockets. We’ll also examine the practical clothing woodsmen commonly wore in 1925, along with the vintage tools that helped them navigate, maintain their rifle, and stay prepared in the field.
These simple but dependable tools represent a time when hunters relied on practical gear, durable clothing, and personal skill rather than modern equipment. Sometimes the old ways still have something to teach us.
