It isn’t until Grape Koolaid enters the scene that Stephen reaches out to Tony for his help (totallynotcausehemisseshim). Messy feelings resurface and Tony’s left angry and confused by his ex-now-wizard but there isn’t enough time for Stephen to explain (and apologise). They get caught up in the whole end-of-the-world shit, tip toeing around each other and not working together until people are dying and Stephens telling Tony “they’re in the end game now” and how he’s “sorry” and wished for more time.
