The first preview of the my new Minecraft King of the Hill map, now with a stack of new features.
Thanks to the addition of the command block, version 2 now features fully managed teams, matches, scoring, random maps and game-types, weather and day/night cycles, fast travel stations for moving around, an integrated admin system, and much more.
It's ridiculous how much of a step up this is. The actual maps feel more blended in with the map itself, the team system is easy to use for players and the admin, the control points are smaller and there's more of them and they can be randomly chosen like in actual King of the Hill.
Currently there's three maps (or arenas) built:
- Urban - a crazy collection of buildings providing parkour Minecraft style while attacking or defending points, some of which are actually inside buildings.
- Jungle - dence jungle underneath a thick canopy creating some crazy lighting conditions to play in.
- Snow - A mountain surrounded by glaciers and frozen lakes and pine forests and you have to fight it out while facing off against a snowstorm.
