Well, everyone knows the iconic Red Trolley that _______ ___ downtown here in San Diego. One drunk night at Livewire, we decided to “let’s take bands on the trolley” and film it, like a live music video. That was 6 years ago, about 150 episodes later and it’s been pretty fun.
That is cool. One of the best things to come out of the Livewire. We have a video clip of this. Let’s check it out.
That was beautiful. And, so _________________ for San Diego Film Award for best web series, that’s pretty exciting.
Yeah. This is our second year been nominated, that video right there. It is kind of like the focal point of whole last years’ series and that’s been _______________ at San Diego Film Award.
Ok Cool. So people can vote for that or how is that work?
I think, it’s actually aren’t been voted for. There is been personal screenings and then judges from the film __________________ have judged on the video.
It’s like the electoral college.
So you guys are super San Diegan. You partner with a lot San Diego companies – San Diego Metro Transit System, 91 Ex, Studio West and Karl Strauss Brewery, right? That is the Red Trolley connection there? That is pretty amazing! Did you expect that to happen? Or did you think that everyone was going sort of reject this idea?
I mean, honestly I thought that was going to shut down, like right away. But here we are, 6 years later, with a 150 episodes, nearly 4 million views, on our YouTube channels. It’s kind of crazy. “It’s probably better that you start with musicians and not _______________, just like standing in the trolley and fire jokes”. It would be shutdown day one.
I actually did duo stand once on Greyhound bus. It went fine until, the driver didn’t like the jokes so much and just ___________ the breaks. But I can imagine that your music would be kind of fun. Do you have anyone who had negative reaction? “I just want to stay here” angrily.
A lot of times, you know, we do “Hop on Live Trolley”, we’ve been asked for, because we have partnership with MTS. If we have a special trolley, we take it, or if there is a designated area, we use; but we ______________ on live trolleys, with real passengers, that’s the kind of beauty of the project, because we don’t really know what to expect. That’s what we tell the audience. It’s kind ________________ on us. We don’t really know if we are going to have enough seats for the audience, enough room for the _____________. So, every experience is a little different, we kind of roll the parties. Yeah, sometimes people just want to keep their earbuds in and get on and get home. They have been working all day.
