Here's what 152 mini-greenhouse Winter Sowing containers looks like! Watch as I give you my 2015 Winter Sowing Grand tour of my Winter Sowing mini-greenhouses all planted and sitting outdoors in the cold ready to explode into gorgeous seedlings in the next few weeks.

Last year was my first Winter Sowing season. I sowed seeds in 69 containers and had great success growing healthy, hardened seedlings outdoors in the snow.
This year I ramped up to 152 containers and can't wait to see the outcome! No more growing seedlings indoors under growlights!
Here's a list of the vegetables and fruits I sowed in my little minii-greenhouses. Most are Certified Organic and many are Heirloom (which means they are not genetically modified which messes with our health and they taste like REAL vegetables and fruits like in the old days!)

Why Winter Sow?
~ Save a ton of money not having to buy expensive organic or heirloom seedlings at $4-$6 each!
~ No more grow lights hanging over your soil and seeds indoors all winter.
~ Big savings on electricity from leaving grow lights and heat lamps on 16 hours a day
~ Save space by not having your house taken over by seedlings for several months a year
~ Not having to 'harden' your seedlings (ie taking them indoors, outdoors, indoors, outdoors... for several weeks before leaving them outdoors for good.) This is a HUGE time saver!
