I raided IKEA's kitchen, kids', and garden sections for 15 hacks that will make your bathroom look custom, by never setting foot in the actual bathroom aisle.
Everything marketed specifically "for the bathroom" at IKEA tends to be smaller and pricier than the exact same idea sitting in another department, so I went looking for workarounds instead.
Under the sink, I found UTRUSTA's pull-out shelf and HÅLLBAR's recycling bins, both built for kitchen cabinets but sized to fit around bathroom plumbing without any cutting. I also pulled wall storage out of the shoe and kids' departments (GÅRDSBUTIK, TRONES, FLISAT), lighting out of the kitchen and lantern sections (KÖLVATTEN, MÅNALG, KABOMBA), and a $1.79 utensil tray that turned into the best drawer organizer I've ever bought.
Then I take you home to see exactly which of these I kept and installed, including how I mounted my new under-vanity light with nothing but industrial Velcro and no electrician.
