We’re still here at Onaway Raceway in Michigan for the final day of racing, and today was all about putting our Peterbilt and our Scania truck to the test. Both rigs were hooked to a 140,000-pound trailer, pushing their limits down the track.
The Scania didn’t take the win, but it showed exactly why it’s one of the smoothest trucks on the planet. From the driver’s seat, you could feel it effortlessly harnessing every bit of horsepower and planting it into the ground. In fact, it was running so smooth that we decided to make a pot of coffee while racing down the track—and yes, it actually worked!
On top of that, we had some fun letting one of the high-powered American truck racers take the Scania for a test drive on the strip. Seeing his reaction behind the wheel of a European cabover was worth it all.
This whole weekend has been a blast—racing, hanging out with the crew, and sharing some laughs with all the truckers who came out. It’s the perfect ending to an unforgettable trip at Onaway, and we can’t wait to come back.
