While building our site, we are navigating the tension between two important values: safety and sustainability. The former says, 'The land is very steep; put concrete everywhere so that people are safe.' To this, the latter responds, 'No, no, that's causing too much harm to the land. You can't do that. Only ecological materials are allowed!'
This is a situation where there are no obvious answers, so we are invited to be really creative...
