Jessicas Library Card 2025-08-01 | It’s the start of something new! Welcome to the first Library Dispatch, my new weekly series where I share what I’ve been reading, what I’m picking up next, and all the fantasy, sci-fi, and horror media I’m consuming.

This week, I finished Asunder (a fantasy that surprised me in the best way), finally wrapped up Nemesis Games (The Expanse #5), and spun the wheel to pick my next read. I also started Hemlock and Silver, began my journey into The Witcher series - and picked up a few new books in a mini book haul!

I hope you enjoy this format. My goal is to make space for more casual, cozy conversations about whatever the week brings: new releases, surprise DNFs, current reads, or weird little genre gems I stumble into. I’m so glad you’re here!

Birthday Book Haul + Little Free Library Tour | New Sci-Fi & Fantasy Finds!

Jessicas Library Card 2025-07-14 | For my birthday this year, I wanted to celebrate in the most bookish way possible - by rehoming some old favorites and exploring Little Free Libraries and used bookstores I hadn’t visited before.

While the LFLs were pretty quiet (only one book came home with me!), the used bookstores absolutely delivered. I ended up with a cozy little haul of sci-fi and fantasy books I can’t wait to dive into.

Jessicas Library Card 2025-06-01 | It’s time to wrap up everything I read in May - and wow, what a month. I picked up some buzzy new releases (The Incandescent, The Devils, The Knight and the Moth), finished a trilogy I’ve loved (The Burning Kingdoms), and finally read Hamnet and Fairy Tale. 31 Books I’m Donating (and Why I’m Unhauling Them)

Jessicas Library Card 2025-05-08 | In this unhaul, I’m donating 31 books I no longer want to keep, from stories I didn’t connect with to books that have sat unread for years. I’m trying to keep my shelves intentional and full of books I’m genuinely excited to read.

Many of these books will be going into Little Free Libraries, and I’ll be filming that process for an upcoming vlog (coming very soon!). The rest are headed to the Friends of the Library store, where I hope they’ll find new readers who’ll love them more than I did.
