DPS- Queen of Disaster (Facilier/Esmeralda)

angelofmusic1992 2023-06-25 | Ended up having to switch to a cover so I could upload this onto YT. Copyright does not like the original. XD Anyway, this is for an MEP I'm hosting. The theme is a hero/heroine falls in love with a villain. I knew I wanted to use Esmeralda for the "spinning like a ballerina" part, but it took me a while to figure out which villain to pair her with. I think Facilier worked out well. :)
Plot: So Facilier and Esmeralda kind of live a double life. On the one hand, they travel with a band of gypsies and perform often. On the other hand, they use their voodoo powers to kill unsuspecting victims, which is what happened to Naveen at the beginning. Esmeralda will lure people into the trap and then Facilier deals the final blow. Still, even though they do bad things, they still love each other.

It's been a long time since I made a RWBY video that wasn't solely focused on the action. The song is from Melanie Martinez's latest album and before RWBY's new season was even done, something clicked with this song and I knew I'd have to vid the two together eventually.

Plot: So Roberto is a composer who's finally made it big in the kingdom. He's written 3 operas so far, and this last one was very successful and even the royal family came to a performance. But he's not celebrating too long as he's discussing his next project with Kuzco, a local theater owner. The proclamation for the romantic season catches his eye and Kuzco convinces him to join. Despite being a little kooky sometimes and obsessive over his work, Roberto is a romantic at heart. And even if he doesn't find someone, he'll have a chance of getting his next opera sponsored. At the welcome tea part at the palace, he runs into Charlotte, his "number one fan." Crazy fangirls still freak Roberto out, so he hurriedly explains the plot of his next opera in the hopes of appeasing Charlotte. It does for now and Queen Marie welcomes everyone.

angelofmusic1992 2023-01-21 | My part for my own MEP. Angelyoko and I had a lot of couples in Hogwarts: a New Era, and Katara/Ariana was one of them. For anyone not familiar with their story, they were childhood friends, with Ariana being part mermaid. Ariana's dad was over protective, something Katara sympathized with, being such a free spirit herself. They were very close, and getting drunk finally brought their true feelings for each other to light. There was a little awkwardness at first, but they ended up getting together.

Vent- Background

angelofmusic1992 2023-01-17 | Been feeling kind of shitty for a while. I've heard this audio used in vents before, and I felt like it was kind of appropriate. I've been feeling really lonely and forgotten lately, like nobody cares about me. My anxiety was through the roof last week, hand shaking and everything, and my depression has been bad. I've had two counselors now fall through because they both just never got in touch with me again. I went on a few dates with a guy and I really liked him, but then he told me he felt like things weren't working out, and I've been beating myself up over it ever since. I tried to reach out to one of my brothers when he was feeling bad, but he just lashed out at me. I feel like people don't understand how much I'm hurting. There was this motivational video my counselor tried to show me that basically said you've got to take leaps of faith in life, like jumping off a cliff, and you either fly or fall down and get back up. Well, I've fallen down so many times that I'm broken and battered and I'm desperately trying to get help, but people don't seem to see it. It's like they say I'm not as broken as I think, or worse, they try to shove me off the cliff even though I'm not better yet. Like, there are people out there that are more anxious and depressed than me. Why am I so difficult to figure out? Why am I such a challenge when it comes to finding treatment that works? I just hate it.

Plot: So Jasmine catches Esmeralda's eye and the two start getting to know each other. Esmeralda says she likes her, which takes Jasmine aback since she doesn't feel the same way. Or at least, she doesn't think she does until she sees Esmeralda dancing, and she wonders if maybe she's not as straight as she thought she was.

The Red Dragon Inn- Boomerang

angelofmusic1992 2022-10-16 | That moment when I tell Skye I'll get this done "eventually" and it ends up only taking me a couple of days. XD I was going through some stuff this past week and working on this was the only way I could ignore the anxiety I was feeling.
So, to give a quick summary, Miguel and Winter's relationship is a complicated one. She's a stone-cold soldier, he's a happy go-lucky bard. She keeps her emotions behind closed doors, he's more expressive. But they've gotten to know each other and have found out they have similar background: coming from a rich family that never loved them, and they used their careers as a way to escape from them. They've had quite a few adventures together, including livening up a wedding and escaping a dragon. They've had heart-to-hearts, as well as fights. People have noticed them getting close and they've always insisted they're just friends. Recently though, Winter has found out about Miguel's background, and so far, she's the only one who knows. The whole thing has made Miguel realize that he's fallen in love with her, but now he's unsure what to do about it.

The Red Dragon Inn Intro #2

angelofmusic1992 2022-09-09 | Been a while since I uploaded a video that wasn't a MEP part or a gift for somebody. XD This looked a lot more epic in my head, but I hope it still turned out okay. I'm a big SSB fan and someone had compared the characters to the fighters in the game before, so I feel like making an intro with one of the openings was inevitable. Hope you guys like it!

Plot: So Cinderella is reluctantly meeting with Charming so he can ask her something. He pretty much says he's in love with her and wants to marry her. She's like "Dude, are you serious? I'm with someone." And when he pulls out a ring, she just laughs and is like "Dude, I'm serious," and that's when Hades shows up. Turns out he and Cinderella have been together for a while and he's not too happy about Charming putting the moves on his girl, so he takes him out of the picture.

angelofmusic1992 2022-07-31 | Couldn't pass up this MEP, this is one of my favorite Imogen Heap songs. :) The theme was relationship problems and I know Kataang might not jump to the forefront of people's minds, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that these two went through a lot of shit before they got together. Aang almost dies in Katara's arms, she witnesses him losing control multiple times when he goes into the Avatar state, he has to choose between letting her go and getting a power that will save the world, the list goes on.

angelofmusic1992 2022-06-12 | I'm a sucker for ABBA songs, so of course I had to sign up for this. XD The theme was a younger person crushing on someone a lot older, so I decided to go with Melody and Tulio for this.
Plot: So Melody is a little mermaid and she instantly falls for Tulio and introduces herself. Tulio plays along thinking it's a joke for a moment, but when he sees that she's serious, he puts on the brakes fast. Melody's a little dejected at being turned down, but Tulio is just like "You're twelve, this isn't going to work. Does your mom know you're flirting with guys a lot older than you?" Melody leaves after that.

angelofmusic1992 2022-04-18 | This character has been in the back of mind for a while (I got inspired by those Quincy Tavern tiktoks) and finally decided to bring him in. If you guys want to plot, feel free to leave a comment or message me on the forum!

Name: John Silver
Age: 50
Role: Tavern Owner
Species: Half human/half orc
Personality: Unless you're bringing in trouble, John greets everyone who walks into the Silver Bear Tavern with a smile. He's easy-going and goes with the flow, but he still takes pride in running a good tavern and wants to make sure his guests are happy. He's quick on his feet and can deescalate a situation fairly well, but also knows when the time for words is over and when it's time to throw some punches. He's very protective of people he cares about. While he's always glad to help others, he sometimes has trouble accepting help himself.
History: John was born to a human woman and an orc father. Who is father is, he doesn't know, and he doesn't care. The little bit he's gleamed from his mother is that their relationship was a bad one and he didn't treat her right. She still raised her son with love though, and cooking was their favorite thing to do together. He heard the call of adventure though and set out on his own at 19. He learned how to fight, got good at it, and starting taking on missions around Indra. He became pretty well known and did almost everything an adventurer could do. He even fell in love at one point, although he's tight lipped about that. When he was thirty though, he and a fellow wizard took on a magician whose specialty was spells that involved fires and explosions. During the fight, John took a hit for the wizard, saving his life. It left the right side of his body badly burned though. The wizard saved him in return and fashioned metal limbs for him. John decided to retire at that point and when figuring out what to do next, he remembered how he and his mother used to cook together all the time when they were younger. Never Had a Dream Come True MEP- Sinbad/Ariel

angelofmusic1992 2022-02-05 | Part for Sugarmint Milky's MEP. The theme was unrequited love and lovers that have to be apart and Sinbad/Ariel was the first crossover couple that came to mind. :)
Plot: So Sinbad and Ariel's relationship is complicated. He's a human and she's a mermaid, but on top of that, he's also a sailor and has to be away for long periods of time due to voyages and stuff. He tells Ariel he has to go away for a while, and although she's sad at first, she does smile at the end, promising to wait for him. It's still painful once he leaves though.

angelofmusic1992 2021-10-02 | My part for my own MEP. It finally got filled up, so I decided to finally make my part.
So, bit of background. The guy who wrote this song is Eric Whitacre. When I was in choir in high school, we sang his songs a lot. They were hard as hell, but sounded great when we pulled them off. Years later, I checked out some of his other stuff and instantly fell in love with this song. And since the song was called Fly to Paradise and flying and airplanes are a common theme in Studio Ghibli films, I decided to kind of put the two together and use this song as a tribute to Studio Ghibli films. I chose Castle in the Sky for my part, 'cause how could I not? XD

Vent- Brutal

angelofmusic1992 2021-09-30 | I've really been trying to keep to together these past few weeks. I thought that if I just held out through this bad stretch, things would get better. But by the end of today, I just felt so tired and anxious and sad and I was crying on and off throughout most of the day.
Family drama is still going on with me. Two of my brothers (represented by Hercules and Jim) are wearing me down. One is just so pessimistic and such a downer that he's making me depressed and he really says insensitive things. The other is going through some stuff and he keeps saying that he's lonely, but he always bails out whenever I try to spend time with him, so it's been hard. And he blocked my number for about a week without telling me why so that was freaking me out, 'cause I couldn't figure out what I did wrong. He did unblock me today and apologize, saying he was going through some stuff, but I'm still hurt that he did that. My mom (represented by Marina) is like the rest of the world, telling me that adult life is great, but I've never been more miserable in my life. My older brother (represented by Tulio) lives almost two hours away from me and has gotten married and I feel like ever since that's happened, he's replaced me and the rest of my family with his new one, and it hurts. If he never saw any of us again, he'd probably be fine with it 'cause he has his wife and kid and that's all that matters.
Work has been stressing me out. My boss (represented by Ratcliffe) has just been piling on more and more onto my workload and I can't keep up with it. Ever since I've started this job, he says he'll hire someone to support me, but the new hires never stay. Even though I'm not in a manager position, I not only have to do my work, but make sure everyone does theirs, and I feel like I always get blamed every time something goes wrong. They keep saying they appreciate what I do, but it doesn't really feel like it. My feelings don't matter to them, what only matters is the work I do. I could keel over and die and they'd be more upset about losing the amount of work I put out than myself as a person. My coworkers are always laughing and talking about stupid stuff while I'm drowning in work, trying not to cry and have a mental breakdown.
I've started seeing a counselor to see this stuff, but it's been slow going so far. I know people say you need to stick with it for a while to see change, but I wish it would happen sooner, 'cause I hate feeling this way.

The Red Dragon Inn- A Vacation

angelofmusic1992 2021-09-23 | Quick note: This takes place after Catra's road trip with Oscar and Eilonwy (which yes, is still ongoing, but hey, can't rush a good thing, you know? XD). Anyway, I was going to wait until tomorrow to put this up, but I got too excited. :)
Plot: So Catra makes her usual pit-stop at the Red Dragon Inn after doing a bit of traveling and she and Rayla catch up. The two have been getting a bit closer over time, although Catra's still slightly awkward around Rayla. But she does finally ask her if she wants to go traveling with her for a while, which Rayla agrees to. So now Catra and Rayla get to have a little road trip of their own. :)
