Home-made foam RC Plane First Flight - Crash Gerryrulz 2013-01-02 | After spending hours building a home-made foam airplane, we took it outside to take it for it's first flight. Luckily it flew, however it didn't fly quite as well as we wanted. It ended up crashing after being in the air for about 5 seconds. The crash wasn't that bad. The only part that broke was the landing gear ski (which was flimsy to start with) and the propeller blades. I hooked up some new propeller blades and was back ready to fly it within 10 minutes.

Traffic Chaos: Car Crash @ Hurontario and Burnhamthorpe, Mississauga Oct 19th, 2012 Gerryrulz 2012-10-19 | Unfortunately I didn't get the actual crash on video, however I did get the immediate aftermath. After hearing a loud bang, I ran and got the camera. 2 Firetrucks arrived, followed by two ambulances and a police car. While the crash appeared relatively minor, it resulted in traffic chaos, with the intersection mostly blocked. Shortly after the crash, there was another minor fender bender on Burnhamthorpe that happened as a result.

Double Horse 9104 RC Helicopter Crash - First Person View Gerryrulz 2012-10-18 | I'm not sure what's wrong with my Double Horse 9104 RC helicopter. For some reason it can't seem to stay in the air for more than about 30 seconds. Once it gets flying, something always goes wrong, it loses power and crashes.In this video, it almost crashes about half way through, though the motor restarts and it has a rough bounce on the pavement. It gets flying up about 15 ft and then all of a sudden it spins around and crashes into the ditch.

I took off on the street, got up to about 12 feet, and then shortly thereafter the engine died and the helicopter came crashing down onto the road.The tiny camera flew off, but right at the end of the video you can see the helicopter somehow landed perfectly upright and didn't suffer any damage despite falling at least 12 to 15 ft onto the pavement. The helicopter still works and flew again a couple minutes later. I'm not sure why, but for some reason this helicopter in particular loses power at random times and comes crashing towards the ground.

Testing Homemade RC Plane Gerryrulz 2012-09-03 | I built this home-made RC airplane out of foam board and the parts from a broken RC Helicopter. Unlike a regular plane that uses servos to control ailerons and an elevator, this plane uses the tail section from the helicopter to control pitch, and the varying speeds of the two helicopter motors, placed on the front of the plane to turn. When the speed increases in on motor, it increases the lift on that side of the plane, causing it to turn. In my other video you can see the plane crash, due to a lack of lift. To improve the plane in the future, I will be adding 4 propeller blades to each motor instead of 2.
