I also use items from zadeel.comI begin by taking a candle holder (actually this was a planter from IKEA) turning it upside down and sticking a saucer on top. I then use a clear bauble / terrarium, place some fake / faux snow in using salt, and add a miniature deer figurine. I top it off with a pine cone, ribbon and greenery.I then create a winter / christmas shadow box frame using paper, a little like mixed media. You can use a photo / picture frame. I add a twine / jute bow in the corner.My final project I take some wood, (I love wooden crafts) and add a napkin on using a technique called decoupage. I use a heat gun to get all wrinkles out the napkin. These are dioramas that act as shelf inserts for your bookshelf. They make wonderful handmade gifts, you can craft them to sell (they sell very well on etsy and at craft fairs) or you can create this piece as unique whimsy decor for your home. You can recreate these in any style - like harry potter, alice in wonderland.. just take the inspiration and work with it ;) I use an empty cardboard box (trash to treasure) making the best of waste and giving myself a little upcycle project. We use sea shells to decorate as well as moss, coral & more.For the second project we take a glass bottle and create a miniature boat and add fake / faux hot glue inside to act as the water.Our final project I'll show you how to make a beautiful sea ornament using a thrifted seahorse and we use jenga tumble tower wood blocks to create a stand.All these decorating ideas are in a mix of styles, whimsy & farmhouse. I use poundland and home bargains items - you can use similar dollar tree / dollar store products for your projects if you are in the US. The main items have been thrifted. Let's create some trash to treasure home decor in a farmhouse whimsical style!First project I'll be taking a salt pig and transforming it into a bee diorama / skep / hive. I'll show you how to use trash to turn it into treasure by recycling some packaging paper and turning it into honeycomb! I'll also show you how I make faux honey using hot glue.For the second project I show you how to make a teacup gnome inspired by my love for all things miniature & magical (and fairy gardens!). I will show you how to make the gnome arms, shoes / feet / boots and even how to create fake water effects using UV resin.Finally, we will take a plain jug and using decoupage, transform it into a beautiful piece with a floral arrangement.All these decorating ideas are in a mix of styles, whimsy, shabby chic, rustic & farmhouse.
