officially on hiatus - please read description As Creative Corner 2023-08-24 | I'd like to make it clear I'm not fishing for sympathy nor am I looking to make people concerned. I am looking into therapy options and will call my best friend if needed in the meantime. I'm trying, so hard to better myself and play catch up in life. a part of me will always try telling me no one will love you unless you're perfect or I shouldn't like myself if im not perfect. nothing I do will ever be enough. I'm willing to fight for a future that I want. I'm done justifying what was done to me in the past, if it wouldn't pass the question "would I do this to my own kids?" than I can't defend the reason. slapping a crying child to give them a reason to cry, isn't okay. telling your adopted grandchild that she should be glad you adopted them because everyone told them not to, isn't okay. buying your child a pet only to threaten to shoot them as emotional manipulation, isn't okay. I'm allowed to struggle with my gender identity it's not selfish. I'm not any less valid in my gender fluidity by expressing my gender assigned at birth. I'm wearing a dress and leggings right now! first time in about two weeks dressing fem hasn't caused a panic attack. I'm going to go put on some make-up little wins are still wins ❤️ love yourselves and take care

I suck at world building (and thats okay) As Creative Corner 2023-07-15 | some needed content I didn't get to In the video copied directly from my notes so some grammar mistakes may exist Only known as The Kingdom of Night in the language of the Ashlin Empire, it lies to the south and is known for it's rich coasts. the land is mostly flat moors and rocky beaches with few forests. the capital is set close to the south west coast. the official language of the court is both Moon script and Ashin, the Aslin Empire nobles refuse to learn the language of people they see as lesser than them however. their religion is heavily based on the moon cycle. they believe that the living and death realms are separated by a veil that can vary in thickness depending on the moon fazes. those that have passed on can pulled those asleep through the veil to speak with them. only the royal family knows how to initiate this themselves.Full of magic TKN can do thing like transform states of being. the Royal family has kept a strong hold on the sources of magic for hundreds of years. nothing is free and if you want to receive a spell you must do a great service to your king or queen.poly relationships are the norm in the TKN, the only exception is the current monarch who may only have one living consort at any given time, but is expected to have a harem of other spouses. Only children of the consort may inherit the throne, the consort can adopt any other child of their monarch thus making them a legal heir. same goes for children fostered in the court, although without royal blood their claim would be tentative at best.Wedding are a simple affair anyone who wishes to be bound must simply swear an oath to each other and consummate it after, though it is generally agreed that having a few witnesses is a good idea. for the Royal family it is generally a more public affair, for the heir and their consort at least. with an oath exchange being open to the public so all can bare witness.court titles can't simply be removed, they must be either passed on by the current holder and the monarch or they must die with their current holder and may then be reassigned, hence Bora still being a Prince despite being in exile for treason.TKN has a very small active standing army at any given time most of these are guards of the major border towns and the royal palace. Every able-bodied male between the ages of 16 and 50 are considered employed in the army and can be called to take up arms at any given time. in the case of a succession crisis where all the children of the king are fighting for the throne this can cause a problem for the whole country as it would literally be divided in a million pieces. this last happened 1300 years before the setting of our story and it opened way for the first of what would be the Ashlin Empire to invade and gain a foothold. Despite the on and off war between the two kingdoms TKN has taken a lot from the Ashlin Empire rank wise, it was the Ashlin Empire that introduced titles like Lord, Earl, viscount, knight and so on. some of the more egocentric Kings of the past saw it for the opportunity it was to promote people he liked to positions of power.
