Malenia, Consort of Miquella (Backstab Strat, no Dual Sword/Polearm Phase) No Hit [Segmented] mihai 2024-10-10 | THIS IS A SEGMENTED KILL (so phase 1 and phase 2 were done separately) just to show the backstab strat, how this fight would ideally look and what went through my mind when making some of the moves. If you play phase 2 in such a way that you only hit her during select attacks and take backstabs you can avoid having her deflect you, therefore controlling her phase 2 transition. The dual sword phase has a plethora of very tricky attacks so people might prefer keeping her in twinblade phase (even though twinblade has the fists as its subphase so at the end of the day it's more of a pick your poison situation really).There were no butterfly attacks in phase 1 because I played very aggressively and never let her gain distance outside of scripted bounce back sequences so she could never do her ranged attacks. Regardless, the butterfly attacks are really easy to deal with: you just backstab her as she's summoning her circle and you just strafe the ones thrown in a line when up close to her, getting a backstab.

You'll notice I play really passively - this is so as to allow all three seers to activate so I could show the real gimmick of the fight. In reality this could've been done much faster as the boss gives a shit tonne of punish windows lol, but I think this end product is more representative of a first experience.
Elden Ring Garden of Eyes RL1 Godskin Executioner (No Buffs/Aux/AoW) No Hit mihai 2023-12-17 | FLASHING LIGHTS WARNING FOR THE VIDEO,This kill was performed during the playtesting phase of the boss which is why it has no drops and its healthbar persists after death. This is just a showcase of strats for it. I designed this boss so naturally I won't say whether it's good or bad. He entirely uses Vordt's moveset with a completely new AI script I made to emphasize his cool yet rarely seen animations, including making a lot of his usually rare phase 2 attacks common moves the boss has at their disposal. The lightning AoEs are a LOT so ideally don't watch this if you have epilepsy or any such condition. The entire idea with the clone was that it does a very specific chain of attacks and it always spawns behind you, giving players massive control over the way they want to deal with it. As you can see, the main boss can be baited into the exact same move chain at range, essentially greatly simplifying this encounter. Dragonslayer is a lot better though if you're playing solo as this is just a lot to take in.
Elden Ring Garden of Eyes RL1 Ghostflame Demons (No Buffs/Aux/AoW) (No Hit/Damage) mihai 2023-12-17 | The equipment drop from this boss isn't there because this was performed during the playtesting phase before launching the boss. Pretty sure in the actual mod they do drop their weapons lol. I've designed this boss so naturally I won't make comments about its quality, but I will note that despite them being rather slow for typical Elden Ring bosses, I believe they can be fairly challenging without being overwhelming. The way they alternate passive/aggressive states is a bit more involved than Demon Prince as well to make up for the lack of a grander phase 2. Each has its own behaviour during their passive/aggressive states, with the scythe demon being very skittish and opting for hit and run strats when passive, while the axe demon opts to stay at range and launch projectiles at the player. While not showcased here, there is a second mechanic with the extra head they keep swapping around. It is its own entity, with its own unique healthbar. When it is on a demon that demon will be passive, trying to protect the head. If neutralized, the head will impair the demon that possessed it for a short while before it grows back. The soul drain mechanic cannot be performed if one of the demons is killed. Secret trick to it is that it cannot kill you, lowering your HP to 1 if you stand outside of the ghost tree during it, essentially becoming a Flask tax like Mohg's Nihil or Moon Presence's 1 HP attack. However, unlike those two, this attack can be completely mitigated by being inside the ghost tree for its duration. Just leave it when they're done or the hp drain will go back to normal inside the tree. Also their sidehops in their passive states are unique - axe demon flies sideways making it very prone to enter the tree and heal if not properly positioned while the scythe demon flies backwards.
