A tribute to Clippy in steel and brass (Much less annoying) Valentin Felder 2023-04-28 | Now available at https://vf-kinetics.de/ The special thing about this miniature collectible is that it is assembled without glue or screws: The eyebrows are riveted with 0.3mm brass rivets which allow them to rotate to achieve different expressions. The eyes are small sections of brass tube which tightly fit over the steel body, so it is a mere friction fit as well. The pupils of the eyes are screws, but they are not tightened - Instead the thread was cut a bit undersized so they too are held in place by friction, which prevents them from turning lose. All this made the assembly of this miniature very convenient, the main work is the preparation of the eye pieces and all the polishing and sanding, which takes much more time in reality of course.Ah, and in case you wonder: The rough shapes were lasercut from sheetmetal. ;)This miniature was part of the monthly Patreon rewards on the "Helping little Robot Claw" -tier.
