In this video, I show how I replaced the belt 100% from the top — no front clip removal. Full DIY walkthrough, tools, and tips
In this video, I show how I completed the entire accessory belt service from the TOP ONLY — no bumper, no radiator support, no front-end teardown.
This is a real-world DIY guide filmed start to finish, including: • Accessory belt routing • Tensioner access • Tools required • Tips to avoid common mistakes • Actual time required • What makes this job “hard” vs overhyped
TIP 2: After thought, I think the Heat Exchangers can be removed WITHOUT removing the elbow assembly. Just disconnect from Throttle body. (would have saved me 40min)
Tip 3. It ~might~ be possible to just undo the two 6mm bolts that connect the pipe to the turbo since the rubber is bendable. Im not sure if there is a gasket. (would have saved me an hor)
Tip 4. These are EASY to remove, but hard to re-tighten. There is enough flexibility in the inlet pipe i do not think these have to be loosened. As long as you have gently push them outward 3/4in to get the bracket around them you are good (would have saved me 30mins)
Tip 5 After thought, it may be possible to just unclip the coolant hose only and leave the clip (would have saved me 10 mins) also accessible from bottom)
Tip 6: these clamps are the most tedious. if I was to do it again, I would make a tool by bending the tip of 10" needle nose pliers. otherwise, about 20in of 1/4 extensions and another person to hold the clamp in place with a screwdriver so it doesn't just spin around the pipe would help a lot. lastly, it might be easier to do this before reinstalling all the evap pipes just to leave more room. good luck!

I bought a 29,000-mile 2004 Chevy Blazer ZR2 and immediately tore it completely apart. Low miles don’t always mean perfect — especially when rust is hiding underneath.
This might be one of the lowest-mile ZR2s left, but the suspension told a very different story. In this video, I tear down the entire suspension, repair and eliminate rust, refinish the undercarriage, replace worn components, service every fluid, and bring the paint back to life with correction and ceramic coating.
This isn’t a quick flip — it’s a full, detail-oriented restoration focused on doing things the right way and making this ZR2 look and drive like new again.

Prerequisites: Computer with Ethernet and DTSMonico v8 or later. I purchased this via a vendor on mbworld, but I will provide no further instructions of where to purchase this software
Step 1. BMW eNet cable. Here is the enet cable I purchased: amzn.to/3uK9fw9 Set the Internet protocol TCP/IPV4 IP to 169.254.0.42 as seen in the video.
Step 2. I configured DTS. Here are the settings I used: Name: eNetBus system type interface: D-PDU API D-PDU API : Berner and Mattner Sytemechnik GmbH-unity-for-dts-8...Module Type: MVCI-ISO-13400-DoipVender name: (blank) Cable: CABLE-PART-F-ECOM use for licensing: (check) Physical Links: Ethernet 1
Step 3. Open A temp workspace with the SMR-d file of hu5s1.smrd
Step 4. Backup'ed my coding as seen in the video. It will be saved as an aed file and I'll need this to restore the coding to your head unit after the flash.
Step 5. I found my current Hardware and software numbers. Note, the software you use must be the correct software for your car. Using the wrong firmware will result in failure. Unfortunately, there is no procedure to find out, only reports of successful flashes from others. I found this list from MHH: Hardware Number and then Flash Software you Need HW 166 901 21 07 : -166 902 76 08 -176 902 76 02
Step 6. I used SWfinder to download and unzip this firmware 1769027702, 2129023910, 2129026011
Step 7. Load the file on DTS and Flash. As you can see in the video, even on a 10a charger, my battery died. I was successful with the car running. if using a enet cable, do not perform a hard reset! if you're using it enet cable, it will not get a response, thus it will not let you continue with step 8. if you do a hard reset accidentally, just close everything down, unplug your cable, turn your car off. Wait 5 minutes and then reboot everything and go straight to step eight. if you are using a c4, you won't have any issues either way
Step 8. Restore coding. I Loaded the file from step 4, and selected to show only "changed domains". "Do coding", completes all of these in 1 click. NOTE: failing? go back to the end of step 7
Step 9. Next I Coded for carplay Here are the codings I used: Driver distractionsmirror link ---- enabled services map sirusweather ---- enabled Carplay----- enable RUI SettingsRemote UI ---- ON Mirror link over NCM ---- ON Notifications ---- ON Send GPS data over RUI device ---- ON
RUI parameters WriteParameters ---- Park all allowed IN remote ui applications Remote UI Services ---- on CarPlay via USB ---- on CarPlay Limited UI Elements ----- softkeyboard, softphone, keypad, nonmusiclist, musiclistAutomotive Link via USB ---- on
There were 3 at the bottom that weren't as obvious. Handsfree parameter Carplay, siri and facetime With no 212 option I did some experimenting, I could not tell a difference, nor find any faults between c218 int-amp, c218-b&o and MFA-CP-ext-amp. I settled on the last one i tried, C218-b&O.
Hard reset. Save coding one more time.
Wireless AA. I'm using this Wireless AA dongle and it works great. amzn.to/3sW7MCB I literally get into the car, start it, and with zero input or buttons pressed, AA loads within about 8-10 secs on its own
