I cut down 5 minutes from the previous record , Crafterdark's, setting the new one at a time of 41:33,600.I had started working on this run last year and kinda discarded the thing. But lately, i decided to replay the map, then i saw there was a speedrun of it, made me want to finish what i had started.I came up with most of my final route, and adapted it with a few tricks from Crafterdark's run. :DSuper Hostiles rules :1 Find and complete the Victory Monument.2 Find wool in chests, Fleecy Boxes, or on special boss enemies ,Fleecy Mobs, scattered around the map, do NOT use dyes or spider string for wools!3 You may craft the Iron, Gold, and Diamond blocks.4 Use at least Easy difficulty, and never Peaceful. I balance around Normal.5 Do not leave the boundaries of the map and go into normally generated Minecraft terrain.6 Survive in any way you can think of. Yes, you can mine, craft, and place blocks.7 You may use spider string wool and sheep wool to craft beds and other items, but not for the Victory Monument.8 You may not pick up, craft, or move Ender Chests.I did the run in normal difficulty, using minecraft 1.5.2. I recorded with Dxtory at framerate of 30 fps. 64 bit Java is a must have to prevent lag issues !I will write down a commentary of the run in annotations by the way.There is plenty of room for improvement, and it's not impossible that in the foreseeable future i'll go for sub 40min. Inferno mines speedrun trick #1 : Cleophian digging minecraftjumping 2013-05-25 | Why Vechs, why ?Now that i found about that technique i have to completely reconsider on how i'm gonna take on this map.This tiny segment demonstrates how the final segmented run i'm currently working on will look like (less the lava part :p).This is slightly faster than taking the minecart btw, but you don't get to sort your inventory and it'll drag your food saturation level way down.You can follow my progress here : http://infernominesspeedrun.tumblr.com

Minecraft parkour - Across the land - Single segment - 9:57 minecraftjumping 2012-07-31 | #### R E A D T H E D E S C R I P T I O N ####So i finally got this, whooo \o/ The jumps are not hard but staying focused for 10 minutes is definately quite a challenge, but with practice on mem0ri and this map, i eventually got used to long segments.There is a huge lag spike at 5:37, that's what stopped the video :/ This is not me trying to play with you and segmenting the run to make things easier, that would be pointless btw. I can definately do this map in one go now, if i don't run a recording device in the background ^^I first thought i could try again to get the perfect run after this lag spike, but i don't care enough to go for it, i'm already happy with that one since i think i'm the first to achieve this on video. Well not exactly, because i fall after the lag spike...
