When you always bring a smile and some laughter, every one wants to come to the “party”. Life’s short, live it like every day could be your last. Poor Gloria, I have her exhausted because I have an advantage,- I've been on prednisone for my pneumonia and going like the energizer bunny and she is going on fumes from us laughing so hard when we're together. She's the friend that used to live in my house on the lake and sold it to Wendell and I when we moved here from Oklahoma. We've known each other for 17 years now. She and her husband Bob bought the house before us, lived there for a while till he took ill and passed away too soon. She was the widow on the lake when we bought her house. Who knew, 17 years later, I would also lose the love of my life, Wendell, so suddely without any warning. Our lives are parralell, only mine is happening 17 years later (in the same house). The home was magical, the lake was magical, and both of our husbands were wonderful men! How lucky and blessed we have been. God has been good to us! #twowidowsthatknow #twoblessedwomen

I have been a busy girl these past few months and had pneumonia and never knew it till I finally broke down and went to the doctor. Trail Mix MsCavalier01 2017-12-03 | Hi everyone! I thought you'd like this recipe for Trail mix and decided to share it with you. My neighbor gave me the recipe and it's so addictive that I had to make it so I'd have it in the house for those times when I want a healthy snack. If anyone tries this recipe, let me know how you liked it. Here it is: 2 cups raw pumpkin seeds, 1 cup of almonds, 3/4 cup raw sunflower seeds, 6 tbsp. real maple syrup, 1 cup dried cranberries (or dried cherries). Toss seeds and nuts w/maple syrup into a bowl, coating well. Spread thinly into parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake @ 300 degrees for 20-22 minutes, till golden brown. Afte removing from the oven, sprinkle dired cranberries on top and let it cool completely. After it's cooled, peel off the mixture into a large bowl; store in an airtight container. Tip: making two spreads of the mixture (seperated in the middle) makes for easier removal. Just fold the parchment paper in half and break it into bitesized pieces. Apple and Cheese stuffed chicken breast MsCavalier01 2017-10-29 | Ingredients2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts (I used one and cut it lenthwise)1/2 cup chopped apple, 2 tablespoons shredded Cheddar cheese, 1 tablespoon Italian-style dried bread crumbs, 1 tablespoon butter1/4 cup dry white wine1/4 cup water1 tablespoon water, 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch, 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, for garnish. Directions:Combine apple, cheese, and bread crumbs. Set aside.Flatten chicken breasts between sheets of waxed paper to 1/4 inch thickness. Divide apple mixture between chicken breasts, and roll up each breast. Secure with toothpicks.Melt butter or margarine in a 7 inch skillet over medium heat. Brown stuffed chicken breasts. Add wine and 1/4 cup water. Cover. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink.Transfer chicken to a serving platter. Combine 1 tablespoon water and cornstarch; stir into juices in pan. Cook and stir until thickened. Pour gravy over chicken, and garnish with parsley. Serve.

I think that last snowstorm did me in and I went into hibernation for about a week and a half and got lazy. I probably spared you from being bored stiff because there wasn't much to talk about except snow and feeling cooped up in the house. The only time I went out was to go food shopping so I put a few hauls about that in here. I've been watching and "liking" everyone's videos, but haven't commented, so don't think I'm not keeping up with everyone. You've been keeping me sane! I went to Augusta today to Sam's, T.J.Maxx and Ulta and did a little retail therapy and feel much better now. lol Funny how buying ourselves a few things can lift our spirits. I finally bought myself some perfume. It's the Coco Madamoiselle from Chanel. It's one of the prettiest scents ever and the good thing about it is that it doesn't kick off an asthma attack with me. I'm really looking forward to the snow melting and getting outside and doing the spring clean-up in the yard. I've got visions of flowers dancing in my head. I know, I'm getting ahead of myself!
