If the bowl water level is below the mark once the tank is done filling, turn the dial clockwise to increase flow. Repeat this process until the water level reaches the mark at the same time the tank finishes filling. Next, identify which seal you need for your toilet. Your toilet brand name is stamped between the toilet seat and the tank and the model number is stamped inside your tank. It’s time to replace the old seal. We will break down the replacements for each brand’s flush valve. Feel free to skip ahead in the video to instructions for your toilet model. If your flush valve looks like the image on the screen use the American Standard Champion seal. It has an inside diameter of 2 ⅝” and no tab. Today we are going to show you how to install your new fill valve replacement cap. The first step is to shut off your water supply. Then, flush your toilet to drain the excess water. Remove the refill tube from the fill valve. To remove the valve cover, place your thumb under the tab and pull up. Remove the float by gently pinching the float arms together. Hold the valve body with one hand and twist the cap counter-clockwise 1/8 turn to remove. Now install the new cap by twisting clockwise to lock it on the fill valve. To reattach the float, pinch the float arms in and clip them to the valve body. Tap the top of the float to make sure the float moves freely and does not scrape on the side of the float chamber. Snap the valve cover back into place. Ensure the valve is locked into place by turning it clockwise. Reattach the refill tube to the fill valve. Clip the refill tube to the overflow tube. Turn your water supply back on to complete the service.

Today we will teach you how to determine the correct flapper size for your toilet. Toilets vary in size and shape, as do their flush valve systems. Flappers come in two sizes, two inch and three inch. A majority of toilets will use the two inch flapper; however three inch flappers have become popular in recent years and can be found in newer toilets manufactured since 2005. An easy reference for determining your toilet’s flapper size is to look at the flush valve drain opening at the bottom of your tank. If it is the size of a baseball or an orange, your toilet requires a two inch flapper. If it is the size of a softball or grapefruit, your toilet requires a three inch flapper. Then flush and hold the lever down to drain the water from your tank. Sponge out the remaining water from your toilet tank.Place a bucket under you toilet tank to catch any excess water. Disconnect the water supply line and remove the mounting nut. Remove the old fill valve. Now, turn the top of your new fill valve counterclockwise and pull up to fully extend. Place the valve in the tank and press down on the fill valve until the corner of the silver cover lines up with the top of the flush valve. Remove the fill valve. Lock the fill valve in place by twisting the upper half clockwise. Make sure the ribs line up with the pegs. Attach the refill tube to your new fill valve. Make sure the refill tube has a direct path to the flush valve. Insert the metal clip into the refill tube and then attach the clip to the flush valve. Turn the refill adjuster clockwise to the fully open position.Reattach the water supply line and turn the water supply on. Wait 2 minutes for the water in the bowl to settle.Mark the water level in the bowl with a pencil or dry erase marker, then flush.If the bowl water level reaches the mark before the tank is finished filling, turn the dial counter-clockwise to reduce flow.If the bowl water level is below the mark once the tank is done filling, turn the dial clockwise to increase flow. Brancher la coduite d’ailmentation d’eau et rétablir l’alimentation d’eau. Patientez deux minutes le temps que le mouvement de l’eau dans la cuvette cesse.Marquez le niveau de l’eau á l’aide d’un crayon ou un feature effaçable á sec, puis actionnez la chasse d’eau.Si le niveau d’eau n’a pas atteint la marque une fois le remplissage terminé, tournez le cadran dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre pour augmenter le débit. Si le niveau d’eau atteint la marque avant la fin du remplissage, tournez le cadran dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre pour réduire le débit.
