Filmed in 2006 before trim brakes were installed. This was its 2nd full year of operation. I thought it was a very good coaster at the time but I have heard that it is really rough now. Glad I rode it when I did. The parks future is in Jeopardy and the coaster may never operate again.

Volcano the Blast Coaster Fire Effect day and night Coaster Jeff 2020-07-14 | In 2006 I went to Kings Dominion many times with my camera knowing many changes would be coming after the purchase by Cedar Fair. I wanted to document the fire effect on Volcano since Cedar fair is not known to keep heavy theme elements going (especially ones that take alot of money to run). I rarely saw the fire effect fire from 2008 till it was demolished so I am glad I captured these moments. I also have some shots from behind the mountain included too.
Montu at Busch Gardens Tampa in 1997 with light brakes and crocodiles Coaster Jeff 2020-07-08 | Montu is a widely considered one of the best inverted coasters in the world but it used to better. Video from 1997 when the brakes were much lighter and the ending wasn't so sluggish. Also the Amazing entrance sign, wheel cover art and crocodiles. Alot of this footage was taken from the overflow Que which stretched in between the 2 vertical loops and has been gone for many years.

But 20 years ago to the day (June 1st, 2000) is when I rode Millennium Force for the first time and it was mind blowing for the time. I still think it is the most beautiful coaster ever and probably the most iconic in the world regardless of how you feel about the ride. Nobody can deny the impact it had on the coaster world.

Original Rattler at Fiesta Texas in 1992 with POV and aerial shots Coaster Jeff 2020-05-27 | Going through my tapes I came across this Video of the original Rattler at Fiesta Texas. This ride opened as the tallest fastest and steepest wooden coaster in the world when it opened with the brand new Fiesta Texas in 1992. The ride was very poorly constructed and went through many reprofiles in its life, it was literally like a different ride every year throughout the 90's. In 2012 it was closed and converted to Iron Rattler.

Hurler at Paramounts Kings Dominion in 1995 Coaster Jeff 2020-05-19 | When Hurler was new it was a fast, smooth and good coaster with lots of airtime and even some ejector moments (check front seat at the 22 second mark) Hurler ran Great until about 2000 and no major maintenance was ever done to it just patch work and after Cedar fair purchased the park the added trim brakes to the bottom of the drop which killed all airtime and became a pointless rough and unfun ride. I added some additional footage from 2006.
