Shion doesn't allow you to stand under them too often so Saragimaru or Suzumi are a better choice here than Yaorochi. This took like at least 3 hours if not 4 and I didn't enjoy any of it I hate video gamesAnyway, only 3 patterns in this fight are actually hard, those being the second and third non, and the third spell - Bare Ghost "Near Victor". Non 2 is just rng slop, non 3 is not rng but you're gonna die to this one often, and spell 3 is just the pinnacle of rng crap. Most of the time Shion is just gonna wall you with the lasers, either not allowing you to escape before they ram into you, spawning so many bullets in 1 place you can't tell where to go anymore or just a dense wall of lasers. Either way that spell sucks. I died to spell 4 once and got past the final first try so spell 3 is basically the key to win here.

Touhou Fools Rush In | Lunatic STAGE 34 (Ellen vs Yumemi) swmprt14 2024-06-14 | Lunatic Stage 34 on Endless Mode in Touhou - Fools Rush In. The game crashed trying to load the next stage which I unfortunately did not capture, but yeah mfing stage 34. This took me 2 hours and 30 minutes to reach. I uploaded a video earlier showcasing a few fights in the late 50's Stages, but those were on Easy. That's equal to like Stage 20 on Lunatic. So yeah 34 is very very high. I find it really funny how (with the exception of my videos) there are only like 3 FRI Lunatic 1cc's on the internet, done only with either Mima or Ellen, meanwhile I'm here doing this crap lol. I truly have been the fool that rushes in after allAlso about the thumbnail. What do I mean by "literally cannot get here"? Well you see, normally the game will crash after like an hour of straight playing. The graphics will deload like in the video, and in the next match or the one after that the game will crash while loading in the spell card. For a while my Lunatic Endless record was 21 stages with Reimu/Mima/Rikako, and 16 stages with Ellen, all 4 having ended on a game crash. (The difference comes from racing speed) However, through magical means, I have obtained a version of the game that does not crash on the spell card, allowing me to get even further. Unfortunately it crashed later anyway but still some progress. So yeah literally impossible unless you are playing on my magical version that doesn't crash. Also the unbearable lag comes from the game having a memory leak, being badly optimized, and also using only like 10% of your PC's full power. Truly the game of all time.damn got so much crap to say about this flimsy game that I might have to do a 2 hour video essay on it at some point

That EE Unreal with Tsubakura sure got hands. Much harder than Yabusame. Anyway, now for some commentary/overwiew or something.Stage 1's in JynX games are total cancer, this being no exception. The part before the midboss kills you a bit too often which is annoying, but then the midboss Kurohebi non. Holy S H I T that non. I will go to JynX's house and force them to capture that thing 100 times in a row because it is not fair in the slightest. Anyway, after that it's pretty easy, the Kurohebi fight not being too bad either.Stage 2 is alright, Aoji midboss can also go die but it's not Kurohebi non tier. Aoji fight is actually easier than you'd imagine. First spell is like not humanly possible I think, but rest could be all be captured if you're lucky. Unfortunately you'll still get hit like twice by the capturable stuff in most runs.Stage 3 is kinda annoying, but still easy as the stages tend to be. The midboss is easy for a change, but the fight is torture. Yabusame does not have a single "safe" pattern. If you're unlucky you could get hit by all of them. Basically if you don't get a good Yabusame you lose the run.Stage 4 is very easy, midboss can be annoying as the spell shoots a single dense ring which is kinda hard to dodge. The fight is pretty challenging, but it seems much less rage inducing than the last few.Stage 5 is generally easy except that one part where you just die as Tsubakura. Midboss is pretty hard, and the fight is like really hard. Again, no pattern is really safe here. Everything may end up being challenging.Stage 6 is generally easy, but sometimes it isn't so yeah. Kuroji's spell is impossible and then there's Clause, who's probably easier than Yabusame and Kuroji. Some attacks are still impossible/barely possible, so basically just make sure to have enough bombs left and you'll win. Touhou - Fools Rush In | Yumemi Lunatic No Miss (Chain Mode) swmprt14 2023-11-07 | A run of Touhou - Fools Rush In's chain battle mode with Yumemi Okazaki on Lunatic without losing any matches. It has finally been done. All 9 Lunatic FRI 1cc's have been obtained. I think it's pretty safe to assume that I'm the first person ever to do this, considering that only Mima and Ellen Lunatic 1cc's exist out there, which are all done by much more talented shmup players. So yeah, pretty awesome I think.Anyway, this run. This was absolute hell on earth. Doing this with Marisa and Kotohime (the other 2 worst characters) was already bad. This was like at least 3 times worse. You can have matches where you literally don't get hit and still lose because the CPU felt like it. Perfect run? WRONG!!! Mima dodges 4 midbosses in a row and doesn't get hit because no and you lose. Beat the first few stages? How about fighting Kana in like stage 3 so you automatically lose. The chances of the bosses aligning in a prefferable order are already pretty low (you absolutely do not want Mima, Rikako and Kana in the early game), then you add CPU's avoiding midbosses, CPU's not getting hit too often, The screen deciding to get filled with unavoidable garbage because yes and you get the RNG hell known as Lunatic FRI as Yumemi. Even when you get past the roulette known as the first 7 stages, you're then forced to fight Chiyuri and Yumemi, who are there not to outspeed you in the racing thing no no, they are there to KILL. This time the Chiyuri fight was exceptionally clean, but the amount of times I almost died to Yumemi in this video is a bit too much. Yumemi having a grand total of 2 lives doesn't help much. Anyway, this took me a minimum of 10 hours of attempts to do, and I'm like the FRI guy so I know how to play this game better than anyone else probably. Touhou - Fools Rush In | Kotohime Lunatic No Miss (Chain Mode) swmprt14 2023-11-06 | A run of Touhou - Fools Rush In's chain battle mode with Kotohime on Lunatic without losing any matches. Kotohime is literally just worse Reimu. Same racing speed, same charge speed, same slow movement, both have a buch of health. Unlike Reimu though, Kotohime has absolutely horrendous damage. Her charge 1 is barely any better than your regular shot, and since her charge speed isn't anything to write home about, it becomes rather useless. Another thing is that her danmaku does like nothing to the CPU's, as they just dodge it like it's nothing. That is pretty common, but unfortunately what isn't is that her attacks rely on spawning a lot of small bullets, and then the CPU's just send it right back to you, so you have a ton of bullets on your screen. Isn't that great? Marisa may not be as bad as I've previously thought. The charge speed is horrendous, yes, but it's manageable considering that charging has no cooldown in this game. Your lasers do a good job of stalling the CPU's and also hitting them once in a while. Your charge 1 attack is also not the worst, and your racing speed is decent. Touhou - Fools Rush In | Lunatic Yumemi VS Kana CPU Win swmprt14 2023-10-30 | There I finally did it. I beat Kana with Yumemi on Lunatic. Without getting hit, even. This was actually my third win, but didn't record the previous ones, so had to do it a third time. Anyway, yeah you need a perfect understanding of all of the game's mechanics, skill and good RNG to pull this off. Kana goes way too fast, and you go way too slow, so you need to gain as much time on her as possible. How do you do that? Well, you have to not get hit too much, and like reflect the charge 4's she sends very quickly. Unfortunately, most of the work is on Kana's side, as she needs to get hit a lot especially in the beginning, get a lot of midbosses, hope most of them are Marisa (she blocks her with lasers so she's on the screen for longer), so yeah, RNG. Good thing that Yumemi is like the best character ignoring the racing speed, so you don't really have to rage over playing a garbage character. I played surprisingly well here. Honestly was doubting that Hisami can even get a hard 1cc easily, but turns out she very much can.
