Keep Your Friends Close | Epic: The Musical | Animatic (Colored Animation) Erlance 2024-02-18 | Epic: The Musical if it were an anime :)This was so much fun to create, but wow it took forever. Some cool details:In the first shot, the ship is going from right to left, which is the opposite of (English) reading direction, meaning they are going "back." But Odysseus is getting complacent and tired, and he's not looking forward, but rather spacing out to the side of the ship. Because he lost sight of his duty, he ultimately fails and his crewmates open the bag.Also, in his imagination, Penelope is still young, and her and Telemachus have a different colored "white" cloth than Odysseus', who is in a more pink-looking environment to represent the potential hope of a new beginning, but also all the blood he has spilled.If you're curious about the process, check out my twitch and instagram!
