I find myself falling under the latter category of students when it comes to recording music, attempting to record on few occasions and always scrapping the end result due to an imperfection; the end result is that I end up recording nothing and I eventually lose the ability to play the piece I wanted to record in the first place. In contrast to my typical "high quality" mentality, this recording is me playing through each of the 4 pieces to simulate a "performance", with the intent of not stopping for any reason. As such, there a LOT of obvious mistakes due to lack of mastery and poor playing (my dad started cooking something in the beginning of the last piece and I was debating whether to tell him to wait, so I got distracted LOL). I may redo recordings of pieces in this video eventually, but part of the reason why I wanted to record this is because, as an intermediate pianist, I can't juggle and maintain mastery of too many pieces at once; I wanted to document my progress on these pieces so that I can focus on learning others.
