bury my dreams Strag Productions 2024-02-07 | MEP part for YES @YoungEmpiresStudios i was a back up for this mep and thus i have made a back up partthe reason i didn't initially sign up is b/c i was struggling to think of a ship that fit the theme and was actually viddablethen i remembered the insane plotline of spiderman 1994so in series 3 of spiderman 1994, norman osborn finds out peter parker is spiderman and proceeds to throw the most iconic dinner party of all time and just keep manically cackling in peter's directionthen he, as the green goblin, kidnaps mary jane and takes her to the brooklyn bridge (i think that's what it is anyway, they're in new york after all) and during the ensuing fight, she falls off and then into his weird portal machine that he hasmary jane is sent to another dimensionshe is never seen againpeter, however, continues to date mary jane. he reveals to her that he is spiderman when he proposes. they get married and move in together. then on their honeymoon to niagara falls, peter parker learns that the woman he's been spending his life with for the past god knows how long isn't mary jane at allshe's a clonemade out of waterand she evaporates right in front of his eyesit's a bit fucked up lads, let's be honest hereseries 5 of this show proceeds to primarily be about madame web teaching peter about the existence of the multiverse so he can try to find and save the real mary jane. this spawns one of the best plots in the whole show where a bunch of spidermen from other universes all team up together to save the day. if you think this sounds familiar then you're right. this was when marvel invented the spiderverse. and ppl loved it so much that it got adapted into the comicsunfortunately, spiderman 1994 was then cancelled, with the show ending on madame web taking peter into a portal so they can finally get back mary janeit wasn't rly cancelled b/c the show wasn't doing well -- it was cancelled because marvel were going bankrupt and were having to sell the rights to all their big name characters offspiderman unlimited, which is supposedly a continuation of spiderman 1994 (i don't care how canon they made that, it makes no sense) suddenly has mary jane living with peter again with no explanation at allnot that it really matters because spiderman unlimited's plot is then about peter getting lost in the spiderverse instead and stuck on a version of earth where evil furries are taking over. spiderman unlimited was cancelled midway through series 1 though and ends on a cliffhanger which kills me inside. it's surprisingly good. that universe's version of the green goblin is fascinating franklyanyway, what was i talking about? mary jane? as far as i'm concerned, she was lost forevergod only knows what that universe thought went onshe was a model and an actresssurely ppl would've noticed she was gone!---Footage: Spiderman TAS (1994)Song: youtube.com/watch?v=GbnIkcpKu84---#fanvidfeed

PLOT PROGRESSION. she does not just exist to fill out the team or prop these men up! and my god is she out here letting prince valiant KNOW ITthe very first clip in this video comes from one of my favourite rowanne episodesthat is part of a scene where she is framed for stealing another kingdom's crown jewels and when she uncovers the culprit, she tries to cleave him in two in front of everyone after an over the top swordfight that is, for some reason, reflected almost entirely in a crying baby's eye. king arthur stops her and asks for her sword, at which rowanne snaps her sword in two with her bare hands, throws it down and says "have it - 'tis as broken and worthless as this kingdom's sense of justice and equality". then she quits being a knight in the most melodramatic way possible, featuring an extremely poly comment from arn where he tells valiant that he has "broken rowanne's heart and wounded [his]". one of the PEAKS of the show, franklyalso yes, before you ask, she does become a knight again in the very next episodebut trust that it is EARNTplot progression, i told you---Footage: The Legend of Prince ValiantSong: youtube.com/watch?v=LO71pC20BDI---#fanvidfeed

youre messin with a son of a bitch Strag Productions 2024-01-08 | MEP part for @joyridestudiosx i was handed an opportunity to force the ppl to watch a legacy of kain edit again and so i took it happilythese games were on PS1 and PS2 and they have never been remastered (you can rly tell just by how fuzzy the pre-rendered cutscenes are) but i tried my best to slap some effects on here that'd make it look a lil nicerif you don't know what is going on here and have no desire to watch the 6 hour plus video of all the video game cutscenes laid out as a movieit's uhcomplicated(spoilers below, obviously)legacy of kain is an insane series full of time travel nonsensethat isn't to say it's complicated b/c it's written badly, this stuff is full 4D chess lvls of intricate storytellingit's just where tf do i begini guess the easiest way to explain this dynamic tho is that kain is a vampire and he sired raziel. when raziel was human, he was basically a saintly paladin vampire slayer type and was killed by his future self, an event that ultimately led to kain becoming a vampire in the first place. (time travel, i warned you!) kain dug up raziel and all of his saintly brothers and turned them into his vampire coven. kain as the head vampire was supposed to be the top dog and get all the cool vampire powers first but then raziel started evolving faster than him so he tore off his cool vampire wings and threw him in... whatever that green shit is, only for god (who is a tentacle monster) to "save" raziel's ravaged body and turn him into his "soul reaver", a concept that i have no desire to try to explain. chaos and drama ensues!! vampires in this series' lore aren't rly... the same as they are in other media, though. and raziel being a saintly paladin type within human society did not at all mean he was a good person either. every character is very intentionally morally grey. the overarching plot is actually about destiny and where free will fits into that, as well as whether you should fight against destiny and if it's ultimately even possible. kain's entire storyline from the very first game in the series is about how he was supposed to sacrifice himself for "the greater good" and he decided to say fuck that and become emperor instead. but also the greater good is maybe not the greater good after all. it's complicated! i told you! even if you watch the full 6 hours, it still leaves you with a lot of questions. the story was never rly completed. just... trust that it's good. trust that this is one of the peaks of video game storytelling.---Footage: Legacy of Kain (Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver II, Defiance)Song: youtube.com/watch?v=7KHqU7l4NIk---#fanvidfeed
