2015 Animations xJaystarzx 2016-01-07 | yeye switched to Flash this year, learned a lot more about animations and shot placement and movement and such, and expanded my horizon a bit to humans and other animals in art! Next year I want to animate a LOT more humans (I've been practicing them like crazy with figure drawing and just other art, but I want to get to animating them as well!) and hopefully get more original characters, maybe even animate my own short this year heh thanks for all your support this year ;u; I gained over 15k subcribers this year, and wow I never thought I'd get this far! Firepaw and Sandpaw: Loathing! [COMPLETE WARRIOR MAP] xJaystarzx 2015-12-31 | Happy New Years everyone!! All the parts are just AMAZING and the MAP gained so much hype that I couldn’t believe my eyes! This is definitely a personal favorite of my MAPs (who am I kidding? I can never choose a favorite pff) and Ink and I worked super hard on it to bring it to you guys!So here it is! The complete Loathing MAP! On a different page, the Loathing MAP was so greatly anticipated that I decided to host a thumbnail contest at the beginning of December, which gained far more attention than I thought it would! With over 60 entries, I had to recruit a few other artists to help me judge, but it was a blast seeing all the amazing entries that came in and I would do it all again, given the chance! The winner is hi-tuvy, and at the bottom of the description I’ll list all the judges and link the journal with all the entries! ;u; BEFORE YOU ASK QUESTIONS: -What the diddly do is a MAP? MAP stands for Multi Animator Project. The host recruits animators to each animate a small part of a song/audio and the whole thing usually tells a story, or has a theme. In this case, it’s the theme of Firepaw’s and Sandpaw’s relationship. -Why are some of the animations bad and some are really good? None of these animations are bad whatsoever. However, each animator has a different skill level, and I try to include people of all sorts in my MAPs to add diversity. Some animators are just beginning, while others have been animating for years, or are even professionals! Either way, please don’t say in your comment that you hated someone’s art. Everyone worked really hard in this MAP and many of these parts are a year old, so a lot of people have improved. (If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say it at all, please!) -Who are the characters? The characters are Firepaw and Sandpaw for Erin Hunter’s Warrior Cat novel series. Cat Tales [Part 7] xJaystarzx 2015-12-29 | finally done ohh my gosh thank you so much Sarah for letting me be in your MAP! I was super happy to get the part, since there's so many fantastic animators in it, and this part really let me push my limits as far as perspective and angles and movement! Friends on the Other Side [Part 33] xJaystarzx 2015-11-18 | For Banette :D this was a ton of fun to do, and I really enjoyed doing the little special effects with fire and such, it's been so long since I've animated things like that, I really should practice more ouo (Hawkfrost's eyebrows were the best thing I've animated besides the bootyshake in my Prince Charmless MAP, most definitely)now for the 2 MAP parts I owe Holly! In All My Dreams I Drown - Ivy and Hawk [Part 12] xJaystarzx 2015-10-12 | Whoo! First animation in Flash CS6 and on my new laptop! Still trying to fix a few kinks in the system, though I've managed to fix a lot of them. Anyone else have the problem where Photoshop will just randomly crash every 30 seconds with no provoking if the file is too much? I have 16 GB of ram and a good AMD processor, so I'm not sure why it would be doing this. Flash keeps randomly freezing up as well. Not really crashing, it's only crashed once or twice, but just having the loading icon show up so I gotta wait a half minute before I can use it again every few frames.... anyways, a good learning experience! Amy and Kait helped me out a lot with Flash, so thank you guys a lot ;u; Hopefully I'll learn more about Flash and improve my stuff, but I'm glad this turned out all right! I'm getting all my work done slowly, I'm hoping to have more MAPs out by the end of the month, since only 2 of my classes this term are project based, so I hope I'll have more time to animate!
