NFS World - Co Op Pursuit Fasckira 2010-08-20 | Please note this is a very beta build version of the mode! World Garage Cruise Fasckira 2010-03-22 | The last half of a cruise we had on the 2nd beta; I raced up to take the lead back to the golf course and, well, took a wrong turn. Luckily only a few people noticed and I was able to resume the correct route back to the spot on the golf course for a final line up before the beta closed :D
Fasckira Tangles with the Police Fasckira 2010-03-21 | Here we go, me trying to wind the police up in the NFS World Beta. Its a bit difficult at times, they tend to give up pretty easily but Im under the impression that this will change. Clipped the end off to fit with the song but all you miss is me escaping to Rosewood during a long cool-down. Anyway, its a good view of the World and a chance to show off a police car leap frogging over me. Its worth noting that I have the Ram skill at 3/5 which makes me hit cars with 100% more force, hence why some of the police cars just bounce away. If I didnt have that skill it would have been like driving into a brick wall. Song is "Big Big Big Da Balls" by Pure Pwnage, which was made for a public competition a few years back. Fasckira in San Juan Fasckira 2010-02-19 | So Im pretty revved up and excited for the upcoming NFS World and Im pretty busy with the World Garage forum at the moment but this evening I decided before I would go to sleep I would see if I could keep my eyes open long enough for a quick race. The course is San Juan circuit, hard opponents and high traffic. Relatively easy run but I love seeing some of the crashes - I really wish Carbon had a replay feature from different angles to see some of those collisions!
Beating mattrules16 on City Courthouse Fasckira 2010-01-09 | Mattrules16 posted at www.wogarage.com the challenge of beating his score on City Courthouse (NFSC) of 421,493. Consider the score beaten, with my own score of 467,897. ;)Was a good challenge though, I dont often use the Dodge (hence the lack of customisation) and there was the heart pounding moment where I skimmed the barrier towards the end but thankfully it wasnt a hard enough ding to reset the score. Took me at least 20 tries to beat mattrules16 score as well, was very frustrating! :(
The Kaizeras Downhill Challenge Fasckira 2009-12-31 | Kaizeras asked me to do a downhill run on Knife's Edge in Need for Speed Carbon with the following criteria: - No opponents - NOS enabled - Camera angle set to "Close" - Must be about 1:10:00 After quite a few practice laps, tuning sessions and the realisation that I needed to not only change my driving style but also my car, I made it in 1:09:70 (though the NFS screen now says 1:09:60 in the records section). EDIT: Updated video now, as my new time is 1:09:05 even with a few mistakes and Ive sorted out my vinyls on the Evo. I may attempt this again at a later date as I made quite a few mistakes; I hate the second to last corner for example where I pretty much stop because I took the previous corner too wide! Its interesting to note though that when I drive via the perfect lines at high speeds I go slower, yet if I just throw myself down the canyon as fast as I can while staying on the track I perform better.
Fasckira in a Dodge Challenger Fasckira 2009-12-20 | Im a huge fan of the tuner selection in NFS Carbon but decided this morning after watching an episode of Top Gear where they were reviewing some muscle cars (in a very factual way) that I might try running with a muscle car for a few races. I took the liberty of recording my first attack at Journeyman's Bane on the downhill drift... To be honest, I found it more exciting that taking it on with my usual tuner cars - it reminded me of when I first played Carbon all over again, and I was forced to pretty much rethink how I tackled each course. I think I might take a week playing around with muscle cars then upload a new video, see if Ive managed to improve any!
