Samples are compressed, in order to save ROM space, and Real-Time decompressed using the Z80 processor.Currently, the same samples and graphics from the Atari STE version takes only 1 MB of MegaDrive / Genesis ROM space, while the STE version takes 3.6 MBThere is a high detailed background composed of up to 8600 tiles, and a parallax background. Background uses up to 61 different colours. New Atari ST/E hard disk SD card interface - Update 5 February 2021 - Hard Disk Writing solution MST 2021-02-07 | This video illustrates the new firmware for ACSI2STM that solves the hard disk writing problem on my own STE.Probably this solution is useful for many other ST computers that present writing problems, such corruption, using the original firmware.On the video, a game running from hard disk is shown; with / key, a savestate is created. After successful hard disk file writing, the game is closed pressing * key, and the STE system returns to desktop. A copy of the generated GS00.TOS file is created, renaming it to GS01.TOS; finally the game is resumed loading the copy of the savestate, GS01.TOS . All these operations are performed correctly.
