hi moretry here are some ideas PhilYu 2022-01-07 | more official looking video here: youtu.be/P0nVXtgaZrE moretry has recently released four 3x3 cubes in the tianma series. each cube has a different magnet positioning system (named single, double, triple, super). prices unknown. basic cube performance and mechanism are reasonable. the hand-adjustable elasticity system is well done and the manufacturing seems high quality. however, underneath this skin-deep praise, i feel the cubes are plagued by a variety of very peculiar problems. first, the stock magnets are extremely strong and risk alienating users. the m slice is very snappy and quite uncomfortable to turn. i cannot find a way to turn any of the cubes comfortably at full speed. it was either turn fast, lock up, and overturn, or turn much slower than i wanted. as a result, i did not enjoy cubing on these cubes at all. at many points during a livestream (where i forced myself to use the cubes), i found myself constantly saying that i'd rather not be cubing at all. i'm sure someone out there may be able to handle the magnets. that person isn't me. second, the release of four substantially similar cubes creates a choice friction problem. not only are customers presented with four choices, it's not clear how some of the cubes are different and whether any model is better than another. i personally had a lot of trouble distinguishing the double and triple magnet models by feel or performance. the lack of information makes it difficult to understand the differences between cubes and further hampers the customer's already compromised ability to choose. packaging, marketing, and pamphlets help a lot here. third, the manufacturer made the curious choice to release four cubes instead of making fewer with adjustable features. there is no explanation for why this is better or why the choice was even made. recently, cubes have been developing in a way that makes it so that the user doesn't have to buy a ton of stuff in order to create variation. deviating from this without explanation makes me worry. all things considered, i'm really curious why the manufacturer took so much risk and chose to complicate its first speedcube release. if it were up to me, i would make the magnet strength more moderate. this captures more market and leaves room for users who prefer stronger magnets to add additional magnets. i would also include pamphlets in the packaging that explain the differences and qualities of each cube. not only does this make everything clearer, it can actually convince people who purchased one to perhaps try another. these are probably the only changes that can be made without creating significant costs. of course, it is not up to me. i'm just some guy that wears the same black shirt every day. good luck to moretry. have a nice day everyone.

Or you can use someone else's code and make me sad. My review on the Yuxin Kylin v2 M, a $10 economy magnetic 3x3 with very surprising performance. Aside from slightly limited corner cutting, the Kylin v2 M performs very well, especially in consideration of the price. Turning is nicely stable with a unique feel, making the Kylin a highly recommended puzzle for beginners and intermediates that would like a good value cube. I personally think the Kylin v2 M is by far one of the most impressive economy cube releases I've seen in a long time. Very good job on Yuxin for making this -- the company is on an awesome streak.I also have a pretty detailed comparison thing at the end of the video. Please note that the views expressed in that section are my onions only, which means some will probably feel different. For example, I'm very aware that there are people much better than me at 3x3 who use the Yuxin Little Magic M. While they are indeed better than me, I still personally like this cube a little better. Some of this stuff is personal preference.
MoFangJiaoShi MF3RS3: Review PhilYu 2018-11-12 | I got to try the MF3RS3 by MoFangJiaoShi. Lots of information still unknown, like final price and release date. In short, the MF3RS3 is a solid cube. It retains the identity, decent all-around performance, and wide appeal of the MF3RS2, but with some alterations to feel. The biggest shortcoming of this cube in my opinion is the rigidity of the cube. While stability is nice, the cube felt a little more rigid than I would have liked, which created discomfort when trying to turn fast continuously. I feel this cube is great for beginners and intermediates because it demands more accurate turning. Competitive cubers may also like it if they can get past the rigid feel.*About the video*: my goal is to produce reviews with no-nonsense, intelligent content with a side of business/marketing commentary. I'm also tired of being particular about quality and details, so I intentionally made everything else really, really low budget -- like comic sans and stick figures low budget. This way people can have a laugh while learning something about a plastic toy.
