I made this track for Arcaea's 3rd Song Contest. Sadly, it didn't win, but I'm happy that I challenged myself to compose something and submit it to the contest. During the process of making this track, I ended up learning quite a lot about music production and composing. I still have a long way to go, but I'm glad I was able to take some steps forward towards improving my music skills. Anyways, thanks for listening and hope you enjoyed!
Really gonna miss this event...
This isn't a special run or anything. Not a speedrun, a hitless run, a first clear, or a clear with bindings. Just got bored today and decided to run through the Pantheon of Hallownest just for fun. And then I thought, why not record it at the same time?
Charms: Quick Slash, Mark of Pride, Quick Focus, Shape of Unn
I like to use Shape of Unn as a safety net, just in case I mess up and attempt to heal at a bad spot. However, that never really happened during this run, so I guess it didn't do much for me. Still, I like having it just in case. It probably would've been better for me to replace Unn with Spell Twister/Soul Catcher for better soul efficiency, but I felt that with Quick Slash, I was getting enough soul. I also could've removed Unn, replaced Mark of Pride with Longnail, and use Unbreakable Strength/Shaman Stone for better damage (and faster clear time). However, I'm too used to Mark of Pride's range, and as you can see, my fighting style revolves around lots of pogo-ing, so changing my nail range would've messed me up. Overall, I felt like I did pretty well against certain bosses and not as well against others. Either way, it was lots of fun!
Bragging time: I've beaten every boss on Radiant, I've cleared the first four pantheons with all bindings applied, and I've cleared the Pantheon of Hallownest with each binding applied separately. I'm not going to attempt to get an all-bindings clear for the Pantheon of Hallownest, because that would definitely drive me nuts and wouldn't be fun at all.

Hollow Knight is one of my favorite games of all time, so I'm super hyped about Silksong! However, since we don't know when it's going to be released yet, there's not much HK stuff to do other than run through the pantheons and challenge bosses again. Of course, I don't want Team Cherry to rush Silksong if it's not ready yet. After all, you can't rush art. I trust that all the time we have spent waiting (and will continue spending) for Silksong will be worth it!
So battle royale games seem to be all the rage nowadays, and while none of them have been very entertaining for me to watch or play, Super Animal Royale's been the sole exception. The cute aesthetic, the top-down view, the supportive community and devs, etc. Everything's great about it! Something funny/crazy/stupid happens almost every game, which is why I just had to make a video about it.
For the most part, I enjoyed making this video. Collecting clips and making the edits was fun. That being said, it took a really long time for me to make. Having to deal with my laptop barely able to handle the project file was rather tough. I'd say more than half my time making this video was spent waiting for my computer to load clips, play things back, and save. I don't know if I'll make another one of these, but I'm glad I at least made this one video.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed, and thanks for watching!

Hello everyone! I will be doing all the openings from this season's anime (at least the top ones) and going back to previous seasons. However, if there's something you really want to hear, let me know!
A lot of people have already been bashing this anime, but we'll see how it turns out...
The OP is by none other than fripSide, and they have a very recognizable musical style. Their songs are usually at a moderate tempo, and after a heavy introduction, they'll switch to a softer verse. The soft part doesn't last long though; it goes right back to the louder and heavier feeling. Add in a bunch of key changes, and then go right back to the chorus. There, that's your fripSide song.
They always use the same instruments too. Bass line is the same, synths are all the same, the beat is the same, etc. Because of that, I couldn't really do much for the left hand on the piano. Sorry about that...
If you like this style, then Clockwork Planet is perfect for you. But if you're a little tired of fripSide's typical music, then this is basically just a rehash of everything they've done before...
Anyways, I hope you like my piano arrangement/cover of "Clockwork Planet", the Clockwork Planet OP by fripSide! Again, if there's an anime song you'd like me to arrange, please let me know!

Hello everyone! I will be doing all the openings and some endings from this season's anime (at least the top ones) and possibly going back to the previous season. However, if there's something you really want to hear, let me know in the comments!
Naruto may be over, but the spinoffs are still going strong. It's something... I guess? Well, we'll see how this anime turns out
The theme is simple, catchy, and enjoyable. It certainly has a youthful feel to it and provides energy to the opening. I had fun arranging this piece. It was a little difficult to make a good left hand part, because the original song is mostly just drums and guitar chords at the bottom. These things don't transfer well to piano, so I needed to make something that would fit better.
I hope you enjoyed my piano arrangement/cover of Baton Road, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations OP! Again, if there's an anime song you'd like me to arrange, please let me know!

Hello everyone! Back with more piano transcriptions/arrangements, but I am now moving towards anime music. I will be doing all the openings from this season's anime (at least the top ones) and possibly going back to the previous season. However, if there's something you really want to hear, let me know!
Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) is finally back with season 2! Admittedly, I haven't actually finished Season 1 yet... I was watching a whole bunch of anime at the time and got distracted with some other shows. You're probably wondering how I got distracted from a show like Attack on Titan. Well, I don't know either. Anyways I'll probably re-watch it again so I can get on board with Season 2.
This OP definitely matches the style of the first two openings from Season 1. It's epic, contains similar instrumentation, similar chord progressions, etc. Of the three, I would say this one is my least favorite. It doesn't have that iconic feel that the very first one had. That being said, as I was transcribing this song, it started to grow on me. Even though Shinzou wo Sasageyou is still my least favorite, it's still a pretty awesome song.
What did you think of this song? And what do you think of Attack on Titan Season 2 thus far?
Thanks for watching my piano transcription/arrangement/cover of Shizou wo Sasageyou (Attack on Titan Season 2 OP)! I hope you'll like the next piece I do, whichever one it ends up being. See you then!
Speaking of Goodell... Is there a conspiracy? Probably not. Did the Patriots cheat? Who knows. For me, I watch football just for football. All the random stuff that happened with Deflategate was so hard to sort through that I just gave up reading about it and tried not to focus on it. So many conflicting stories, so many theories, it was just too weird. I just wanted to have a little fun with this victory haha.

A random idea I came up with after watching the episode "28 Pranks Later". The episode was certainly scarier than I expected from a MLP episode, even though (SPOILERS, again) I knew the whole thing was just a prank. Still, it was a load of fun to watch!
The music is from an anime called "Gakkou Gurashi", which is about... Well, you know what? It's better if you just watch the first episode without knowing anything whatsoever. Don't even look at the teaser or any summaries. It's one of my favorite series of all time. Check out the first episode, but don't spoil yourself!
Hope you liked the video!

So you're probably wondering why there's no Synthesia video. Well, it's because I work with WeimTime. That channel is our group's main source of income, attention, etc. Therefore, the better it does, the better our whole group does. While I certainly love seeing that channel get bigger, it means that I have to sacrifice the quality of this channel a bit. For example, there was a period of time where I stopped using Synthesia and used visualizers instead, but reviews on those were mixed. Furthermore, viewership on this channel started to decline. I went back to Synthesia, but it seems there's a need for me to stop using it again. It's not a complaint about the group; it's just a brief explanation of what's going on
Thankfully, this piece is pretty easy to play. I decided to make this transcription easier so that more people can play it. Anyone who's watched this channel (or Weim's) for a long time knows lots of my stuff can get pretty crazy. However, if you still want to watch notes rain down on your screen, you can download the MIDI and put it into Synthesia or any similar program.
The episode was quite a surprise for me because I didn't read the synopsis ahead of time. I didn't expect to see Fluttershy's family, nor did I expect her to end up being the most assertive amongst everyone. I thought the episode was charming and fun. The song, on the other hand, well...
It feels a little generic. It's not terrible, but it's dull for me. It sounds like a lot of other songs that are meant to be encouraging and uplifting, but even then, this song isn't as uplifting as most other MLP songs. I think the episode would have been fine without it. Also, this song has "On My Own" in the title. We already had a song called "Out On My Own" earlier in the season... I wonder if there's supposed to be a connection. Or maybe I'm just overthinking this.
Anyways, not a bad song, but the previous S6 songs were much more fun for me. Next up is, well, I'm not sure. We've got a lot of stuff coming up. From Undertale, we'll have "ASGORE" and "Hopes and Dreams". We'll also attempt to tackle an anime song, specifically the OP of Cowboy Bebop. There are also some Black Gryphon songs we want to do, so look out for those as well. We hope you enjoy those transcriptions! See you then!

That's a wrap! All of the Hearth's Warming Tail songs are done now! I really enjoyed working on all of them, even the ones I didn't like as much at first. Originally I didn't think much of this song. There have been plenty of MLP songs in this style, and it didn't sound very different from the others of its kind. However, after listening to this song some more... well, I still have "Say Goodbye to the Holiday" as my favorite, but it grew on me. Ingram rarely writes bad MLP songs, and all of the songs in this episode were solid enough.
This song reminds me of old Christmas carols. Jeez, I wonder why... I know I'm stating the obvious here, but I'm just pointing out that I think Ingram did a great job at making a song that's supposed to be related to winter and Christmas. The instrumentation, the harmonies, everything. It's just perfect. I can't really say there's anything I dislike about this song.
My next video is a little uncertain. I've already transcribed several songs for Weim, but I'm waiting for him to decide which songs to release first. Ghost by Mystery Skulls will be coming soon, ASGORE from Undertale is being worked on, and we've got some other exciting stuff coming up as well! We also plan on tackling Hopes and Dreams sometime soon.

Four down, one to go. Well, technically two? Anyways, those last two will be lumped together into one video, which will be the next video after this one.
I didn't think much of this song when I first heard it in the episode. It kinda sounds like most other songs from MLP. However, after listening to it again, it's sort of grown on me. It's catchy, and the later section has a nice turn to a darker side. I still think "Say Goodbye to the Holiday" is the best though.
The song was trickier than I expected. There are some parts where Applejack doesn't sing with the beat, so the rhythms are a bit weird. I had to round off some of them to make them sound better on piano. As a result, my piano version may not sync up perfectly with the original. Also, there's one tempo change near the end that makes my version stray from the original a bit, but then it syncs up again. Lastly, I don't think I did the dark part very well. I definitely could've changed some things to make it a little more epic.
I hope you still enjoyed this video despite the shortcomings. Next up is, well, you know already. Thanks for watching! Leave a comment, like if you did, and subscribe if you haven't yet and want to see more videos like this!

I was hoping I could get this video up yesterday before going to bed, but I got busy with other things... Sorry about that. But here it is! Luna's Future! Almost everyone voted for this song after Pinkie's Present. There seemed to be a little confusion about my vote though. Regardless of which song won, I was going to do both anyway. I just wanted to know which song you wanted first. So next up is going to be "The Seeds of the Past".
The song was really easy to transcribe. No weird harmonies, tempo changes, etc. Unfortunately, the piano really doesn't do the song justice. The original song is much more epic than the piano on its own. I added octaves and stuff, but it didn't help much. If you want to play this, feel free to throw in your own notes/chords to make it cooler.
I really like the song, but just like Pinkie's Present, I wish it was longer. Pinkie's Present was still okay at the length it's at, but this one definitely needs an extended version. More Luna singing please! By the way, I like how Luna said there would be eternal snow. You know, because Nightmare Moon wanted eternal night? ... I'll be quiet now
As mentioned earlier, The Seeds of the Past is next! After that, I'll wrap up the rest of the songs from yesterday's episode. Thanks for watching! Please leave a comment, like if you did, and subscribe if you haven't already and want to see more content like this. See you later!

Have another song! I rarely upload twice in one day, but since we've got so many songs from this episode, I'm trying to get them done as quickly as possible. With that being said, I definitely can't finish them all today. I've got other things I need to do later. I'll try to get the last few done by tomorrow or Monday. Please be patient!
This is a really catchy and cheerful song. In the same way "Say Goodbye to the Holiday" was nearly as good as "This Day Aria", this one is nearly as good as "Smile", at least to me. It definitely captures Pinkie's cheerful nature just like "Smile" did. I think it would've been nice if this song were extended a bit and featured some more variation. However, I understand why they couldn't do that. There wouldn't have been enough room for the other songs and dialogue. Overall, I'm satisfied with this song.
Transcribing it was a bit tricky due to the swing, but it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Once again, I tried to keep things simple. If you download the sheets and try to play it, you'll see that everything is notated as if there isn't any swing. That's because I tell you to play with swing at the beginning! It might be difficult, but once you get into the groove, it's a piece of cake.
I think there are some portions of the song that aren't in swing, but because those sections are usually just a word or two, notating them differently or adding text to tell the player to switch playing styles would've been inconvenient for everyone. Of course, if you really want to be picky and spread out those notes properly, go ahead.
I said I'd be doing "Luna's Future" next, but I may consider doing "The Seeds of the Past" before it. We'll see. Hope you enjoyed this video! Leave a comment, give a like if you did, and subscribe if you haven't yet and want to see more piano videos. Thanks for watching!

Hearth's Warming Time! And with it comes half a dozen new songs! Well, in a way it's five, because the last song is a reprise of the first. Anyways, I will be doing all of the songs eventually, but I wanted to start off with my favorites first. As you can probably tell, I liked "Say Goodbye to the Holiday" the most. Up next will be "Pinkie's Present" then "Luna's Future". After that, we'll see. What was your favorite song from the episode? Let me know in the comments!
Before you complain about the tempo, yes, I already know this transcription doesn't always sync up with the original song. There were just too many tempo changes and whatnot to account for. The beginning is where most of the speed issues are. After the intro finishes, the tempo is mostly consistent. I apologize I couldn't get it exact; this was the best I could do.
This song is definitely one of my favorites of all time. We haven't really had a nice villain song since This Day Aria. Unleash the Magic from EG was also good, but I think this new song tops it. Is it as good as This Day Aria? Hmm not sure. But regardless, it's awesome!
The episode itself was a lot of fun. Ever since the Season 3 finale, they've just gotten better and better at making musical episodes. That's all I have to say. I'll leave the deeper analysis to the critics and analyzers out there lol
I hope you enjoyed! Leave a comment, like if you did, and subscribe if you haven't yet and if you want to see more transcriptions! Thanks for watching!

This version of Stronger Than You comes from an Undertale parody that highlights the battle between Sans and Chara
youtube.com/watch?v=Lz4jIWkt_S4
Before anyone complains that this is exactly the same as the original Stronger Than You song, let me just say right now that it's not. Some parts of the melody and rhythm are different. Even the harmony has been slightly altered as well. Also, there are some extra instrumental lines added in this version.
That being said, I'm really curious as to why Stronger Than You is so popular in the Undertale fandom. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a good song; I enjoyed working on the solo version. But why this song in particular? There are so many Undertale remixes of it all over the internet. Crazy, huh?
We chose this particular remix because it seemed to be one of the most popular versions out there. Since there are two people singing and extra instrumental lines in it, we decided to create a duet. If you want the original, solo version, we already did it a few months ago. You can find it on my channel or WeimTime's channel.
This version isn't too bad. The vocals are done well and it still has the same flow as the original song. I will say that I don't like the instrumentation a whole lot. I understand it's trying to sort of go for an 8-bit feel, but there's too much going on for me.
Anyways, I hope you liked my transcription! Next up will be Ghost by Mystery Skulls (or another MLP song from the show, if a new one pops up). See you next time!

More Undertale! This is Battle Against A True Hero, which is Undyne the Undying's theme during the Genocide route. It's an epic piece of music, but the battle that goes along with it was pretty tough. That is, until you get used to the fight. It took me quite a while to get through this boss during my first Genocide run, but when I did it again, I managed to defeat Undyne in just one try. Sans also got much easier for me. It originally took about 15-16 tries, but I got him in 3 during my second run.
You can definitely hear the inspiration from Touhou Project in this soundtrack, especially during the section where it goes into 3/4. The harmonies, melody, and the horn/trumpet-like instrument make it sound like something right out of Touhou. I absolutely love the music from Touhou, so this track definitely goes down as one of my favorites of all time.
Transcribing it wasn't too difficult. The main problem I faced was the left hand during the main section. I've seen people who only use a bunch of octaves or chords, and I've seen people transcribe the bass note for note like what I did. I chose the latter because it sounded nicer. However, if you want to play this piece, you can just play octaves. The harmony is really simple. F minor, F minor, Db major, Eb major.
Hope you enjoyed this one, and I'll see you in the next video! Thanks for watching!

We're going back to Season 5! Tons of people have been asking us to do this song ever since it came out. Sorry we weren't able to get to it sooner. But here it is! Since several people made their own transcriptions and arrangements of this song already, we decided to do something a little different. In addition to a solo version, we also made a duet version. You can find the sheets and MIDIs for all those versions on our website!
Speaking of the website, we also apologize that it wasn't accessible for a while. However, we've finally put everything back onto it, and now you can use it normally again!
I'm not sure how, but I somehow screwed up the tempo for the duet version. The solo version is at the right speed (130 BPM), but the duet is too slow (128). It's not too noticeable, but if you try to play the duet and the original song together, then it'll go out of sync very quickly. It's weird because I used the exact same Sibelius file to make the duet version. I made my solo version, then I made the duet out of it. I don't know when the tempo got changed to 128. Again, sorry about that. That's three apologies in a row lol. I swear that's the last one!
You can definitely tell this song was inspired by Lady Gaga and other American pop songs. I'd say it emulates her songs really well. However, it's unfortunate that this song was so short. I wish we could've had a longer version. Also, the visuals that went along with the song were being recycled during the song, which downplayed the epicness of the song near the end.
Transcribing it wasn't too difficult. The hardest step was probably turning it into a duet. Because there weren't a lot of separate instrumental lines in the original song, it was hard to add more notes to my transcription. At the same time though, it allowed me to keep things simple. Beginner/intermediate players should be able to play this one. The solo is a little more challenging, but nothing too crazy.
Hope you enjoyed this transcription, and I'll see you in the next video!

We finally have our first season 6 song! I'm sorry I'm a day late. I totally forgot that there was a new episode yesterday, and I only found out about the song late last night. Anyways, here's my transcription of it, and I hope you like it!
This song was actually surprisingly difficult. The guitar is featured throughout the song, and that was the instrument I focused on the most. However, it plays relatively fast and uses a bunch of chords and arpeggios that are hard to play on the piano. Transferring notes from guitar to piano and vice versa is usually pretty tough. It also doesn't help that there were some odd rhythms and beat emphases later on in the piece. Additionally, Applebloom generally doesn't sing on the downbeat; she has syncopated rhythms. I've noticed that Ingram likes to do that a lot in his songs. It sounds nice, but it makes it a little tougher to transcribe lol
Because of all these problems, the left hand isn't 100% accurate. I either had to move a bunch of notes up or down an octave, or I made up my own notes that still fit with the harmony. This is to make it slightly more playable. That being said, it's still pretty tough. As mentioned earlier, the arpeggios go by quickly, so it's not a walk in the park. Good luck to anyone attempting this.
I might make a simpler version with the left hand play basic chords and arpeggios. It won't be as accurate, but it'll be much easier. Let me know if you'd like me to do that for you!
The next song will likely be Battle Against A True Hero from Undertale, or a duet of a Undertale version of Stronger Than You. For the second song, it will be the duet between Chara and Sans. Oh yeah, and you can expect The Spectacle coming out soon as well.
Thanks for watching! Leave a comment, like it if you did, and subscribe for more videos and transcriptions!

As a send-off for Gravity Falls, Weim and I decided to do the main theme for the series. Admittedly, I've never seen an episode of Gravity Falls and don't really know much about it, but I heard it's good and a lot of people enjoyed it. Anyways, despite the show ending, I'm sure the fandom will keep going to make more fan art, stories, and so on. The spirit of the show isn't dead!
The theme song is pretty catchy. It uses a lot of weird time signatures and frequently jumps away from 4/4. I'm not sure if the other signatures I chose are the correct ones, but they still help the transcription match up to the original. The piano doesn't do the original song justice in some parts though.
Hopefully you enjoyed it regardless, and I'll see you in the next transcription! I will be doing Battle Against A True Hero from Undertale, as well as MLP songs from Season 6, which will be coming up very soon. I'm not sure if we'll get any songs from the premiere (probably will), but I'll keep an eye out for them.

OHHHHH YEESSSSSS! Who's ready for the most fabulous battle ever? This was one of my most favorite boss battles in the game. It was fun, unique, and challenging at the same time. The music also goes very well with it! The weird thing is, this theme is actually one semitone lower than the song in the OST. The song (and my transcription) is in E minor, but when you hear it in the game, it's Eb minor. I'm not sure why, it just is... Odd.
The entire OST for Undertale is amazing. Not only does it sound good, but most of it is made up of just a few themes and melodies. It really helps connect all the songs and different sections/characters in the game together. For example, part of Death by Glamour can be heard in Metal Crusher, Mettaton's first theme. That might have been obvious to you, but there are some other song connections that are very well hidden. If you look through YouTube, you can find people who compare different tracks with each other or alter them in various ways so you can hear the connections. I highly recommend checking those videos out. Toby Fox is a true genius.
For those who haven't played Undertale before (although I imagine most of you have, 'cause if you haven't , why are you here?), go buy it! It's definitely worth spending $10 on it.
Next song will be the Gravity Falls Theme. Hope to see you there!

I actually hit 20,000 a while ago, but I kept holding off on celebrating the milestone it because I wanted to make a good video to thank you peeps. I think this one is appropriate for the occasion. It's MLP (the fandom I started with), it's one of the most popular songs in the fandom, and a lot of people wanted me to convert it from duet to solo. So with that all being said, thank you so much for helping me hit 20,000 subscribers! I never imagined that I would ever reach 20K, but thanks to you guys, we did it! Your support really means a lot to me, and your song requests to Weim and me have introduced me to so many different songs and genres that I never would've discovered on my own. I hope you all continue to stick around in the future!
After I made the duet version of Lullaby for a Princess (man, that was a while ago), tons of people have been asking Weim and me to make a solo version. Well, here it is! I initially made a duet version because I felt that I couldn't capture the emotional feeling and instrumentation of the original song with just two hands. However, it turns out I didn't really need to remove much from the duet to get a good solo version. Of course, I still think the duet is better, but I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out. Hope you enjoy as well!
The main challenge with this song was the tempo changes, which I ranted about for a very long time in the duet version (sorry about that lol). Many of the changes are very subtle and unnoticeable until I played my transcription with the song and realized they were going out of sync. I had to add in a bunch of weird tempo change markings in Sibelius and constantly make sure everything was lining up properly. It's not perfect though; I think it still goes out of sync near the end.
So I already said it in the video itself, but this solo version actually follows the arrangement that's featured in WarpOut's animation, not the original song. If you listen closely, the instrumentation is slightly different. In particular, there's a solo cello part that's been added in (or made more prominent, if it was in the original version). Also, about one minute of the song of the whole song has been cut out. I actually like the cut; it helps the song move forward a lot better.
This song is truly a work of art, as is the brilliant animation that goes along with it. I know after I made the duet version, I said I was super-annoyed with the song because it was so difficult to transcribe, but it's been a while since then. Besides, it's not a problem with the song, just with me. I took a break from listening to it for a while, and then everything went back to normal. Now I like it again and it doesn't drive me crazy XD
Next up with be Death by Glamour from Undertale, as well as the opening theme to Gravity Falls. The show just ended, so Weim and I figured we should give it a short send off. Hope to see you there!

Please just let this end...
Anyone who has followed my channel ever since I started doing FNAF stuff knows that I am not a fan of it, nor am I a fan of TLT's music in general. However, I still try my best to keep an open mind when I listen to these songs and transcribe them. After all, having a negative attitude towards the song you're trying to transcribe is no fun at all. Also, if you like TLT and FNAF, there's nothing wrong with that. Like it all you want!
That being said, this song is just bad. It has all the problems of the first three FNAF songs, yet somehow makes them even worse. In all of these songs, the second half is a nearly-identical copy of the first half. Plenty of songs out there repeat themselves, but most artists at least try to make different verses vary in some way. However, all of TLT's FNAF songs' verses have little to no variation at all. FNAF4 is the worst case. I literally copy-pasted the entire first half of the song to make the second half. Then I copy-pasted the chorus again in the end, since it repeats itself twice. I think I only changed ONE note in the second half's melody. There was another section where the left hand was changed to play half notes instead of quarter notes, too. Point is, almost no variation. In the other FNAF songs, despite having very little variation as well, there was at least MORE of it.
Second, the instrumentation. Once again, it's just super-loud bass + vocals, with maybe one other instrument that comes in occasionally. As a result, it gives me very little to work with. In all the FNAF songs, I'm forced to write octaves because 1) There aren't enough notes to make proper chords, and 2) It's the only way for a piano to sound as annoyingly loud as the original song.
Lastly (this doesn't relate to the music), the video! The visuals are incredibly boring and lazy. First we see a bedroom, and a flashlight shining light around. Wow, it's not like no one else has ever done that in a FNAF music video before... Then we see... retro lights? I probably don't understand what this refers to because I've never played the game before. I'm thinking they're supposed to be arcade lights or something. Anyways, having the lights in there (if they're related to the game) is fine, but that's the ONLY thing we see throughout the entire chorus! Show something else!!! Show the animatronics! Actually, where were they throughout the video?? I didn't see them at all! This is a FNAF song, right?
After the chorus, now we see a small hallway being lit up by a flashlight. And then we're back in the bedroom. Is this really the best you can come up with? PLEASE just show something else! A jumpscare would've been better than this! (And I don't even like jumpscares). The chorus comes in again and we see the same, dull lights from the first time. We do get a clock that counts towards 6:00 AM (and goes to 6:07?), but that eventually leads to nothing.
Overall, this song is a bore. As I said earlier, it contains every problem that's present in the first three FNAF songs and takes them to a whole new level. I really hope this is it for FNAF songs.
If you do like this song, I hope my long rant didn't ruin it for you or upset you. This is only my opinion. If you disagree with what I've typed up here, that's totally fine.
Anyways, next song will be Death By Glamour from Undertale, plus a special video coming up

More Undertale music! I finally got around to playing the game, and I loved it. I did all three routes: Neutral, True Pacifist, and Genocide. Definitely one of my favorite games by far. I'm still listening to the game's soundtrack on a loop even though I've already finished the game. Expect a lot more Undertale music in the future!
This song goes by extremely fast. Even an "easy" version with very few notes would still be pretty difficult. So I kinda threw the whole playability factor out the window and just made something that sounded cool. Sorry that this version isn't exactly playable. To make it playable, just ignore all of the crazy octaves I put in there (namely in the right hand). Have fun!
I'm sorry I haven't been uploading regularly. Weim needed a short break at some point to take care of some things, I also had other things to attend to, and we were all thinking about what to transcribe next.
The next Undertale song will be Death by Glamour, but the next song that's going up is TheLivingTombstone's FNAF4 song. Yay -.- Actually, it's already done. You can view it on WeimTime's channel. My video will be uploaded soon.
Also, I have a very special announcement/video/teaser thing that's coming. Look forward to that too!

More Undertale music! I have yet to play the actual game though. One of my friends is constantly asking me to try it, so it's only a matter of time before I finally give in lol.
I'm switching back to Synthesia for now. There was a period of time where one of my group members, Burned Spark, was making visualizers for me. Unfortunately, his computer died and he can't make those videos for me anymore. I then did plain backgrounds while trying to make a decision on what sorts of videos I should do. I figured that since most people really like using Synthesia as a learning tool, I should switch back to it.
Visualizers aside, I originally went away from Synthesia to prevent my videos from interfering with Weim's viewership. However, I'm not really sure if me making Synthesia videos ever did impact his views. Back when I did, Weim's videos were still getting plenty of views. Anyways, I'm gonna try Synthesia one more time. If it does mess up Weim's viewership, then my bad, and I'll think of something else.
This song was kinda weird to transcribe. There are some sections that sound off-key. Specifically, some of the notes sound a little flat and don't match with the standard pitches a piano can play. I played my transcription and the original song side-by-side, and I don't think they quite match up in terms of pitch. Oh well. This was the best I could do.
Weim made an extended redux of the song. It sounds cooler, but it's not playable. You can check it out here: youtube.com/watch?v=453GWndBO-E
I'm not quite sure what we'll be doing next, but keep an eye on my channel and Weim's channel to find out! Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoyed!

There was a time when I was able to finish MLP transcriptions on the day the song was released. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to do that recently due to schoolwork. Last quarter was pretty busy for me. The upcoming quarter won't be as stressful, but MLP isn't airing for the next few months. Darn. So Weim and I will be thinking of other songs to do lol. If there's something you want transcribed, you can request it through Weim!
This song was easy to transcribe. Nothing crazy going on here. I actually forgot to do the reprise at first, but then I happened to re-watch the episode and found the reprise. The reprise is here in the video, don't worry. This song was #2 in my top 5 list for season 5 songs because it was able to make me feel sorry for Diamond Tiara, one of the most hated characters of MLP. That list is still on my YouTube channel, so go check it out if you'd like to hear my thoughts on some season 5 songs.
That's it for this video! I'll see you in the next one!
Here's a Christmas special for you guys! It may not MLP, or FNAF, or anything we've done before, but we felt it would be a great challenge for us. Coming in at over nine minutes long, Vivaldi's Winter is the longest transcription I've ever done. The video is a little late because I was busy celebrating Christmas with my family. Kinda put the video off until the end of the day lol
This is one of my favorite classical pieces of all time. I first heard it when I was really little. It was being performed by some street performers who arranged it for xylophone. It was pretty dang awesome and I immediately fell in love with the piece. Skipping a few years later, I was able to listen to more of Vivaldi's work. I even played a few pieces by him in my school orchestra. Vivaldi was a Baroque composer, and it's pretty obvious through his work. His harmonies, melodies, patterns, everything create the stereotypical Baroque sound we've come to imagine when we think about Baroque music.
Since I was classically trained, my ear always gravitate towards consonance. Of course, there are those who prefer music that strays away from the old rules of consonance and composition. But whether you appreciate Vivaldi's music or not, it's clear he had a major impact on the development of Western music.
Transcribing the piece wasn't too difficult because the notes are already here. Orchestral scores for "Winter" can be found very easily, and so can piano arrangements. However, you can't just copy and paste all the original parts because many of the parts overlap with each other. The main trick was untangling everything to create a playable duet. I also had to turn some of the 32nd notes into 16th notes. It's extremely difficult to play the same note on a piano really fast. String players can do it very easily, but pianists can't.
The top part is definitely the harder one. The bottom part is usually clunking away with octaves while the top part has all the crazy melodies. If you want to attempt this duet, I'd say a beginner/intermediate player can do the bottom part while an intermediate/expert player can do the top.
Anyways, Merry Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate) and happy holidays!

We have a website now, but we're still adding the sheets, MP3 and MIDI for this song. If you want to see our other transcriptions, go here: www.weimtime.org
We're going back to some good ol' Wooden Toaster! WT is one of my favorite brony songwriters, so this one was fun to do. The main problem was just that it was kinda long.
So yeah, as I said before, the MIDI subscription service is no longer running, since we have a website now! All our MIDIs are now free for download through our website, which was listed above. Also, check out the other tabs for some cool features!
The next transcription we'll be doing is our Christmas special. It's going to be Winter by Vivaldi. It's one of my favorite classical pieces of all time. I've loved it ever since I was little hehe. I know there are plenty of sheets out there for this piece, and there are tons of piano arrangements too. However, I wanna make my own version! Hope you guys enjoy it when we're finished!
This means that the MIDI subscription system will cease operations. Now you don't have to email me and wait for a whole week before I respond lol. Really sorry about that, btw
Remember, same rules apply. No re-uploading our work. Please explore the website! There are tons of cool features and pages on it!
http://weimtime.org /// Go to the "Media" tab, then "Misc", and you'll find the entries for this transcription at the bottom
We're still figuring out a few things though. For example, you can download the sheets and MIDIs directly from the site, but for MP3s, the "download links" actually redirect you to our videos. Then you have to download the MP3s from our video descriptions. The other thing is that we only have one MP3 slot per entry, and some of them link to Weim's "WeimTime Plays" videos. Therefore, I can't put some of my plain piano MP3s on the site. I think we need to make a separate column for WTP. Anyways, the MP3 link is down below

Okay, so going to the song and the game... I've mentioned this before, but I don't know anything about Undertale. Don't know if I'll try to pick it up. The song, however, sounds pretty cool. It kinda reminds me of Touhou in a few sections.
The main problem with transcribing this was making it playable but sound epic at the same time. My version, which is the one in this video, is playable but not very epic. WeimTime actually added some notes to make the transcription more epic, but it's not playable. You can listen to Weim's version (w/ Synthesia) here: youtube.com/watch?v=RiahOcPmqX0

Firstly, I'd like to apologize for putting the entire vocal part an octave higher than it should be. I did it to fit in all the other instrumental parts without having any overlaps.
What a beautiful song! This song is definitely one of my favorite pieces from the show. The SDCC preview gave me a pretty good idea on what the song would sound like, but the full version is truly something else. Lena Hall's voice was truly gorgeous. The piano part really synergized with the vocals. The strings added to the emotion in the first half of the song, then provided a lot of power during the second verse.
I will say that the one problem I had with the song was that some parts seemed to be rhythmically off, namely the voice. Sometimes the voice went too fast or too slow compared to everything else. However, I read somewhere that the song was recorded rather quickly in a more casual setting. Also, since Coloratura was performing and singing it live, it makes sense for things to be slightly off. Honestly, it's not that noticeable unless you really listen for it. If this is the only issue I have with the song, then it deserves a 10/10 in my book.
Actually, the other problem is that it's too short. More please!
I made a solo transcription of this song a few months ago when the song was previewed at SDCC. Coloratura's singing was difficult to nail down due to the funky rhythms. The harmony was easy, but I couldn't really hear the background instruments' parts very well. Therefore, I had to make up a few notes.
Moving to the full version, most of my rhythms and harmonies were correct. The main challenge was to include 2-3 more hands and transcribe all the important instrumental parts. I made a duet because every part really adds to the song's emotion and power. I wanted to include as much as possible. Hopefully you guys like the final product!
But to be honest, if I wanted to be really realistic, I should've gone with this: youtube.com/watch?v=wMyx32x7z44
The next song will probably be "The Pony I Want To Be" from Crusaders of the Lost Mark. I know tons of people really wanted that one transcribed. See you there!

Another Friendship Games song! Many people requested this one after Unleash the Magic, so here it is!
This song was... okay. It's not great, but it isn't bad either. What's good about it is that it has a lot of energy in it. You can really feel the competition between the two schools and that they're each going to do their best. I also liked that there were at least some unique instrumental parts that I could include in the transcription. That way I don't have to have boring octaves all over the place. Well, there are still tons of octaves, but at least we have some variety.
The next thing I want to discuss is good and bad at the same time: what the song is about. It's another typical, cliché, high school-themed song that's been done so many times in so many movies. The thing is though, it's not really Daniel Ingram's fault. He's writing for a high school-themed movie that features a school competition, so he needs to write a song that matches. Ironically, the fact that it sounds just like every other high school movie song is what makes it good. It does exactly what it was intended to do: showcase a school competition. That being said, I do wish we could've had something cooler like Unleash the Magic.
Now, what's not so great about the song? The way it ends. There are some songs that work fantastic on their own (the Smile Song) and other songs that are clearly there just to move the story along. Most of the song, despite being about a high school competition, still holds up okay on its own. However, the final measures do not. It wraps up the competition, but not the song. It's also disappointing because it was starting to build up pretty well right before Twilight and Sunset's solos. If we had a bigger climax and finish, that would've been perfect. But nope, the song needs to narrate the story, so we got the really awkward ending we have now.
To sum up, it's not Ingram's fault. In fact, he is very good at making songs that do what they're intended to do. Furthermore, he obviously can make music that stands on its own. If you really wanna blame someone, blame whoever decided to make the Equestria Girls trilogy about human high schoolers. I'm not against the EqG movies; overall they're better than I expected. It's just that it limits Ingram's ability to make really creative songs.
Transcribing the song was surprisingly difficult, and it's mainly due to the fast rhythms. Everything goes by really fast, and there aren't many melodies that can be copy-pasted. There are some parts that have a bunch of repeated sixteenth-notes, and because they're so fast, it might be difficult to play them. Sorry about that. Then there's the ending with all its tempo changes... Anyone who's read my video descriptions knows I do NOT like crazy tempo changes. Obviously, they needed to be there to build the suspense, but as I mentioned earlier, I wanted a better ending.
Unleash the Magic is my uncontested favorite song from EqG 3. This one probably comes in at second or third place. My next transcription is going to be Prototype by WoodenToaster. Now THAT's a challenge. Hope you stick around for that one! See you there!

(Does is sound like there are two pianos playing in this video? I hear two pianos, but Burned Spark insists there's only one)
After doing three SU songs, I've noticed that they all sound pretty similar. It's hard to describe, but the similarities are there probably because most of them were composed by the same person (I think). It's like how you can tell almost every MLP song is from MLP. Daniel Ingram is the songwriter for the show, and even though he does compose in different genres, you can still tell most of his songs have his own personal stamp on it. Same goes for these SU songs.
Anyways, this song had some odd harmonies here and there, and the rhythm was a bit strange in certain areas. Also, there are some sections where the characters are just speaking, not singing, so I just transcribed the instrumental parts. Otherwise, it wasn't too difficult.
The next song that's going to be released is Acadeca from Friendship Games, and then Prototype by WoodenToaster. Hope to see you there!

No visualizer today, because Burned Spark got sick and couldn't make the video for me. However, he made the original MIDI for this song and then gave me permission to edit his MIDI and present the finished product, which is what you're listening to in this video. Link to his channel: youtube.com/channel/UCybsh6kYJ1s_ypOfil5ETyA
Burned Spark transcribed this one pretty well, so it wasn't too difficult for me to edit and upgrade it. The main problems arose from the original song itself. It's really loud and incorporates a lot of crazy distortions, which makes it challenging to identify the notes. Regardless, I think the final transcription ended up pretty good, and even Burned Spark's version wasn't too far off either.
The next song will be "Do It For Him" from Steven Universe or TheLivingTombstone's FNAF 4 song, which is scheduled to arrive quite soon (oh boy...). We might also tackle "Acadeca" and/or another "Crusaders of the Lost Mark" song in the future. Hope to see you at the next video!

Back to MLP! Yay! Firstly, the episode. Boy, what an amazing 20 minutes it was. After 5 years, the CMC have FINALLY gotten their cutie marks! They didn't get it the way most people probably thought they would, but it was pretty awesome nonetheless. We also get a deeper look into the life of Diamond Tiara and we figure out why she's such a [REDACTED] all the time. It would've been nicer if we could go even further and learn more about her though. My favorite moment was when Silver Spoon told off DT. I was screaming "OOOOWWWWNED!!!" during that scene hahaha. Overall, I'd say the creators did pretty well in developing this story for just a 20-minute block.
The song is pretty cool, but listen to the instrumental version of it. DT's parts (without her singing) sound really epic, almost like a video game soundtrack. Seriously, go check it out right now. Well, not right now. After you finish watching my video first! Anyways, this isn't a bad song, but have you ever noticed that some MLP songs do pretty well on their own even without the episode to serve as context, while others are obviously just there to shorten parts of the story? This song would be the latter type. In fact, while DT's singing voice is very good, her lyrics are kinda dull and don't really fit with the rhythms in certain parts. My final judgement? It's alright. That's pretty much it
As for transcribing this song, it was easy, but when the CMC start singing different notes in the second half of the song, I had to keep back-tracking to get all their notes correctly. Otherwise, it wasn't too challenging.
Hope you enjoyed this one! Next up will be March Onward To Your Nightmare, then we might do more songs from "Crusaders of the Lost Mark". See you next time!

It's Time To Die? I sure wish this video game would die... Ahem, anyways, transcribing all these FNAF songs is getting tiring. They're all so loud, which makes my ears hurt, and they all sound the same too. Plus, the theme is always the same. These songs are all about death, darkness, horror, etc. I don't mind themes like that (in fact, they're normally my favorite), but in the case of FNAF songs, they're just boring. That being said, people are probably still going to request more FNAF, so get ready for that lol.
This song wasn't too difficult. Nothing really crazy happened (other than my mind going crazy). Once again, the overall loudness of the song made it hard to hear some notes, but other than that, it was easy to figure out
My next project is most likely going to be Light of Your Cutie Mark. It'll be nice to get back to some MLP. Hope you enjoyed this transcription, and I hope you'll stick around to see my next video!

Finally, it's here! Unleash the Magic! This was definitely my favorite song from EqG 3. It's very dark, ominous, and works very well as a villain song.
I enjoyed working on this one. It had a lot of interesting harmonies and instrumental parts. I'm not entirely confident about the harmonies in certain sections, but I did my best to choose the notes that were closest. The melody was particularly difficult because Principal Cinch doesn't sing on the beat and speaks half the time during the song. Therefore, I rounded all the rhythms to the nearest eighth note and chose pitches that were close to what Cinch was "singing" and sounded good. If I were to transcribe her melody with 100% accuracy, it would be difficult to play on piano and it wouldn't sound that good.
The movie itself? Pretty interesting. It was nice to see Sunset Shimmer's character growth here. In the movie, Sunset Shimmer and Twilight basically swap positions in terms of who is the teacher and student of friendship. Of course, Sunset Shimmer is still learning, but we see she's doing her best and still developing. Furthermore, she's got to take charge in this movie because pony Twilight isn't here. Big step up for her.
Cinch was alright, but she's not a very interesting character because she doesn't have much of a backstory. She's just an evil principal that wants to keep her reputation. But other than that, there's nothing we can really work with. She's human, not a magical creature from Equestria, so we don't really feel that connection to MLP either.
The supporting Mane 6 characters were great as always. Alternate Twilight was fun to watch. As for the Crystal Prep students, their individual characteristics seemed very forced. It's like they were trying too hard to stand out, which doesn't make them very realistic.
Anyways, I wonder if this is the last EqG movie or not. But in the meantime, we've got the rest of Season 5 to watch. I might do Acadeca later, but I'm also scheduled to do at least one song from "Crusaders of the Lost Mark", some more stuff from FNAF, and another Steven Universe song too.
Hope you enjoyed this transcription! See you on the next one!

More FNAF! I know some of you might be annoyed by another FNAF song, but it's what people voted for on WeimTime's channel. I've already finished Unleash the Magic and it should be coming out very soon. Light of Your Cutie Mark from Crusaders of the Lost Mark is also something I'll be working on in the future. Additionally, "It's Time To Die" from FNAF (bleh....) will be coming out.
This song was pretty easy to do. No super-difficult rhythms, no tempo changes, and the second half is nearly identical to the first half. The only issue was the section where it keeps repeating "me". There, the song has a bunch of pitches that can't be played by piano. They're essentially the notes that are in between the piano notes. So I basically just put in whatever piano note was close enough to the pitch.
Anyways, hope you enjoyed this one, and I hope to see you on my next transcription!
