Between Brian and I, she is our last living grandparent and was my rock during my childhood. It makes me very emotional thinking about how old she is and how much time I have left with her. We've lived in our place for three years and our issue has always been storage but now that we keep all our personal items upstairs (as we rent out our first floor) it just seems like we are overflowing with no place to put things. We've added A LOT of clothing storage so hopefully once it's nicely decorated it will look ok. I'm not sure if rearranging our space was a good idea but it definitely seems more open. What do you think?

I DO think that we will be done with the room by the end of Q1 so we'll be able to check one 2024 goal off our to-do list!

A Quiet, Productive Day | deep cleaning , small business owner

Aja Dang 2024-01-19 | I thought this would be a fun video to show what my typical day consists of without having to be "on" for the camera - because that's why I hate vlogging - I just want to show you my day as I see it. When Brian is traveling, sometimes I just like SILENCE. Other times I'll listen to low-fi music all day, or podcasts or Beyonce but today I didn't want to listen to anything. It's a really nice departure when there's always music or noises on in the background to just experience a day of quiet.

Today was a relatively lowkey day but I find when I deep clean the apartment, it always takes more time than I expect. Fortunately, I didn't necessarily feel rushed or stressed to get everything done that I wanted to do... but I thank eating leftovers for that!

This was probably the most brilliant idea I have ever had. As someone who has vision boarded by herself for a decade, making it a social event was really fun. The majority of people I invited had never vision-boarded before and I'm so glad I was able to introduce them to this.

This was a great way for everyone to set their 2024 goals + all the food and mimosas didn't hurt.

As I mentioned in the video, my anxiety is always about money. When I was in debt, it was about being in debt. These days it's surrounding the house - today in particular, it's about not knowing how much we have to pay in property taxes and if not being prepared for it will cause other issues down the line. Fortunately, these are all fixable issues, I just need to decide whether or not I want to be productive today.

2005 - 2012: goal was to graduate from school
2012-2014: goal was to have a sports show
2015-2017: goal was to grow my audience on social media
2018-2021: goal was to get out of debt and fully fund my emergency fund
2021-2023: goal was to save up to buy a house.

2024 will be my slow girl era - no pressure to accomplish any major life goals or to change my life in any significant way. I'll be focusing on my inner (and outter) glow up.

Going Back to Cali | Aja Dang

Aja Dang 2023-10-13 | We have officially moved out of our Houston house and back to Los Angeles.

It made me really sad watching this video because I still feel like this entire experience was a huge mistake but I'm glad we were able to fix a home that is now safe enough for another family to live in and appreciate.
