Due to the way Network Extensions distributes content, there is a chance that it may not work with a future update of Cities: Skylines. Fortunately, you can de-couple yourself from this issue by replacing the roads in your cities with exact replicas from the Workshop, which don't rely on a mod to be updated.
With these three mods installed and activated, you will be able to load ANY map or savegame that was built with any version of Network Extensions. You don't even need to click on anything, RON will automatically update the roads when you load your city.
Once your roads have been swapped out, you can unsubscribe from RON if you wish as the networks will have been replaced and the dependency removed. The new roads from Cylis' collection are baked into your save and no future game update can break them.
This video has been produced because of issues related to Network Extensions 3 on the Steam Workshop. If you want more information about why you should IMMEDIATELY unsubscribe from Network Extensions 3, and Harmony (redesigned) I recommend this fantastic post by Aubergine18, a developer of Traffic Manager: President Edition (TMPE): steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/1637663252/4731597528356140067Creating uniform decorative networks in Cities: Skylines | RAILWAY | Episode 08kjmci2021-11-04 | RAILWAY is a tutorial series helping you build more realistic railways in #CitiesSkylines. This episode of RAILWAY provides a technique to fix a strange behaviour in the game that causes decorative networks with repeating patterns to squish and deform towards the end of a node, causing visual glitches and breaking the illusion of reality.

After a number of false starts, this is my first Cities: Skylines series and my first production using the DaVinci Resolve editing suite. I recognise that some parts of the audio or visuals may be rough around the edges, but I'm working hard to improve with each production cycle.

This episode focuses on how to connect the traditional double-track pairs to single-track networks which are critical for creating detailed railways. The techniques shown were first documented by Dakota and Hitzu and they have my thanks for helping with these technical aspects.
