It's literally all about hitting specific sweetspots, and that's exactly what I'm the most weak at.It turned out to be a solid run nevertheless, though. [MKDS] Wario Stadium - Non-PRB Italian Record - 1:54:601 Pikalex04 2024-09-17 | Interesting run.I started getting good splits and amazing consistency at the hill clears so I had to hop on a serious grind. This is the best I got. I really wanted to get a 1:53, but the more I played, the less consistent I got at the hill clears... quite crazy. Once you stop getting the last hill clear all the time, the track isn't fun anymore. Knowing you will always finish a run matters a lot in terms of enjoyment. Sadly it went away. One day I really want to get a 1:53 though, especially considering I have splits for 1:52.As for the run, lap 1 and lap 2 were very good... lap 3 was nervously good I think. I didn't actually lose much compared to a lap without the first hill clear, but obviously had I managed to use the shroom properly, I would have got a 37:8xx lap at the very least. [MKDS] Delfino Square - Flap Italian Record - 0:28:829 Pikalex04 2024-09-16 | I wish I didn't spend 2 days on getting a 4ms cut.This track is really tough, and I think the flap is actually much worse than the 3lap: there are so many places where you can lose time and not even realize.This run was just solid: surprisingly my start and the two 90-degree turns weren't good, something that has happened very rarely in my attempts, while the stairs jump was perfect, something that does NOT happen at all.The entry into the 1st shroom wasn't great, but the 2nd shroom was really good. Originally, I intended doing the slipdrift in all the 3 laps, but the truth is, I just find them easier to do than the former fastest strat. Simple as that. Then, I found this other strategy, which is the one I use in lap 2 and 3: it's shyly 100ms slower than the slipdrift if done correctly, and I believe it's actually faster than the former WR strat too (can't say for certain though), but most importantly, you literally can't miss it! It has always been my favorite track to play Time Trials with: it's hard but doesn't feel bad to play, there is a lot of care in the making of the road so every slope is smooth, there are a lot of different sections and gameplay style you need to implement... it's perfect.And I'm so happy that I actually reached my goal of #3 in the world in such a beloved track. The WR players, Taiga and MKDasher, are just too good at this: they have an even more advanced understanding of how the kart moves, and I still, sadly, can't compare with them yet. As for the shroom cut, the reason why I stay in off-road is that the 2D wall of tires is actually a wall, so the options are go wide and stay on-road or go tight and get some off-road. It turns out that the latter is faster.The only problem is that I did not PRB in the U-turn because it's very hard. [MKDS Deluxe] Mario Circuit Wii - Best Known Time - 1:31:971 Pikalex04 2023-04-30 | look babe its the best hack ever with the mkw thingies !!Got this time a while back.In the last months Alessio got his hands on MKDSDX and beat some of the BKTs, and since that's my duty, I had to kick him and everyone else out of the MKDSDX charts so that they can play something actually got like CTGP Nitro.Now, that aside, I have also noticed that I have set Glitch-SC BKTs that have no video of the SCs, and rightfully there are people who can't understand how my BKT is that fast, therefore in the next weeks I am going to upload these BKTs as well (most importantly Rainbow Road).As for the run, it was very good. Lap 2 was so slow compared to the others because the kart didn't climb the 2nd wall quickly (the one before falling into the river). I've noticed it's mostly luck, in fact I think lap 3 was the 3rd time I got the good wall clip shroomless.
