When Ten Cents and Sunshine can't get a fuel barge for Lillie, the tugs must come up with a way to create a light for Vienna. If they don't, she and Hercules will crash into the rocks.
Sending clear signals is important to the working life the boats of Snugboat Harbor. Something which Zorran doesn't seem to do very well, never liking to take orders from anyone. This proves to be a problem when he and Zug end up getting a tramper stuck across the river.
Ten Cents goes out to various ships in the harbor, looking to assemble the prefect whistles to play in the annual tugboat toot. When Warrior auditions his whistle, Ten Cents doesn't think it fits in at all, making Warrior feel down.
Zorran becomes very angry with Zug after causing an accident with an old tanker. When Zug thinks about quitting towing ships and barges, Ten Cents decides to tell him about what happened to Boomer.
Sunshine and Ten Cents head off to watch the tugs dock the ocean liner, The Duchess. Sunshine gets too close and runs into her. Ashamed, Sunshine runs away.
Zebedee wants to prove he can do harder jobs, and get the chance to do different things. He soon gets his chance when Captain Zero asks him to tow four barges across the harbor. This soon proves to be harder than he thought.
A huge earthquake hits Snugboat Harbor, causing destruction everywhere. Both the Star Tugs and Zero Fleet set out to help wherever they can.

During windy weather, Captain Star orders that the larger tugs go out and help Hercules with the ocean liner. Ten Cents and Sunshine want to help too, but told they're too small for the job.
The Snugboat Harbor Relay Race is about to begin, and Sunshine is missing. Logs block her way back to the harbor as she races back. She tries to move them out of the way, but ends up getting stuck in them.
A new tugboat called Boomer joins the Star Fleet. He tells the others he has bad luck, but they don't believe him. But then, at seemingly every turn, Boomer faces nothing but misfortune.
Izzy becomes sad when his engine breaks down and unable to be useful. As the tugs are working, they try to cheer Izzy up. Izzy ends up proving very useful however when the tugs have to dock an ocean liner.
There's a parade, and the tugs decide and joke and around be silly. Meanwhile, however, Grampus is trouble. He has run out of fuel and a barge of explosives is about to be blown up!
During a huge wind storm, there comes an emergency. The Princess Alice is stuck outside the harbor with a damaged rudder. They need the help of the Zero Fleet, but gets turned down by Zorran when he disagrees on how they bring her in.
As the tugs work on building a new factory, Top Hat and Otis tell about how many accidents Warrior can have. Just then, Chooch the Train warning them about a bunch of loose logs that are heading their way. If they don't act fast, the quayside village and the tugs will be ripped apart.
Lillie Lightship has gone missing, and all the tugs are looking for her. They find her in Dry Dock, with a hole in her hull after something happened. Lillie decides to let the tugs try and guess what happened to her.
Steamer isn't allowed to enter the harbor, and is feeling lonely, with his only friend being Zebedee. Zebedee tries to arrange for him to meet the other tugs, but they get too busy with work. With that, Steamer decides to sneak into the harbor by himself.

Big Mac is having trouble getting back to the Star Dock during a foggy night. The other Star Tugs, worried for Big Mac, set out into the fog to look for him.

The Zero Fleet is to move barges of dangerous explosives out to sea, and it's up to Zorran to choose which tug will do it. The other four Zero tugs talk about times they were useful to convince Zorran they're right for the job. But who will he choose?
When Sunshine's brother, Ten Cents, goes to Halabin Harbor for a special assignment, she wishes he will come back soon. As the day goes on however, she begins to worry about if Ten Cents will ever come back.
Lord Stinker is feeling down, thinking the tugs are bothered by his smell. Top Hat decides to go take Lord Stinker for a spin to try and make him feel better. Trouble soon strikes when they come across an under repair bridge.
One day, Bluenose is seemingly bossing everybody around, from Hercules to Grampus. The tugs decide to not work for the Navy until Bluenose stops shoving the rule book in their wheelhouses.
It's the Star Fleet verses the Zero Fleet in this year's relay race. They race around a part of the harbor, and then tag another tug to continue to another part. But which fleet will be this year's winner?
Zebedee and Zak have to deliver steel barges across the harbor by noon, or else they'll be in trouble with Zorran. When Zak's engine starts to have trouble, they decide to take a shortcut through the canal. This proves to be a very bad idea.
Two movie producers, Mr. Boffo and Mr. Socko, arrive at Snugboat Harbor. The two are looking for the star of their next movie, and Captain Star just might know the right tug for the job.

Zorran is placed in charge of the Zero Fleet while Captain Zero is away, and told to make sure the fleet is working hard. Worried about letting Captain Zero down, Zorran starts to become bossy, upsetting the other tugs.
While on his fog patrol, Big Stack sees ghostly white tugs. He tells the Star Fleet about it, but everyone thinks he's trying to play a joke on them. It turns out however, that Big Stack was not joking...
