Jurassic Park Builder - Battle Arena Music
updated
The game has no sound options to mute either the narration or the background music, so I quite literally had to walk the long path in order to accomplish this end. That's right, I walked through two of the levels from beginning to end, triggered all musical cues and all pieces of monologues, so that eventually I would be free to just chill around with nothing else but the wind blowing into my face and the grass silently whispering into my ears.
This gameplay/ambience montage was originally recorded for my Sonic Frontiers video essay to demonstrate well crafted abandoned places as a counterexample for Frontiers' barren and boring landscapes. Thought it would be a waste to not give this footage the proper justice separately. :)

I'm afraid I can't name a source for the showcased artwork, I remember getting it from the now nuked (one of the many?) Balan Discord server I was on and I recall the artist sharing it with a Twitter link, but Google's image cross-referencing function (which works perfectly with Twitter posts as well I might add) yielded no results for it even after extensive search (I do believe I have the full version of it, but I even tried partial cross-references, by cutting the image in the scanner). It's not unlikely that this was nothing more than a practice doodle posted only for that server and eventually got deleted by the artist, but nonetheless if you recognize the image and can direct me to it's source don't hesitate to contact me so I can give proper credit.
Edit: Literally 2 minutes later, I find the thing by managing to find the artist's name out from the initials. Thanks Google, your image scanner sucks now. xP

Being an avid fan of Balan Wonderworld's soundtrack I really love how needlessly convoluted some of the tracks were made to be. I suppose that the mind even subconsciously manages to register at least some of these fine details, because I always find them later rather than sooner and then...I finally realize why I loved this or that particular track so much in the first place.
In the case of this one, I've decided to remove the main vocal part (only a faint echo of it remains), which allows us to hear the rest of the supporting parts much clearer. My personal favorite segment is the refrain where with the removal of the main vocal part, we get to hear all the (at least 3 individual lines of?) string instruments carefully hiding in the background along with a much lower toned (compared to the main one) backing vocal line.
A kedvenc részem a refrén, ahol a fő énekes eltűntetésével egyből hallhatóvá válik legalább 3 extra vonós szólam, valamint a fő énekesnél jóval mélyebben éneklő kísérőkórus is.
With that said as my latest fully livestreamed playthrough has demonstrated, the PS2 version runs pretty much perfectly even with additional widescreen hacking involved (with barely noticeable culling too compared to Dolphin's extremely ugly looking one that immediately deloads almost everything beyond the game's original 4:3 range). I don't know whether a 60 fps hack for the PS2 version even exists, but with everything considered imho leaving that one out of the experience is a small price to pay for perfect emulation.

During this one act and this one act only in the entire game while traversing throughout the level the player can occasionally interact with the blue buttons placed in it.
When these buttons are pressed the level layout changes slightly, some platforms move around a bit, the entire level swaps it's lighting and the background music switches into a serene, more magical variant of itself.
This game deserved better gameplay designers, everything else is almost perfect in it. :/

And so my quest of presenting obscure video game soundtracks continues on. I've played this on-rails photographer(?) arcade game back in 2019 and as short as it was, it's calm slowness really resonated with me. Not to mention the surprising amount of semi-replayability one gets from recognizing the semi-randomized nature of the base gameplay. Yes, it is randomized albeit very sneakily, you may not even notice it at all if you're going for a casual run only, not setting yourself up for 100% completion.
Developed by WildTangent Games in 2007, it remains to be an Xbox 360 exclusive title, not backwards compatible on later hardware. Though I've come across reports and official looking references relating back to a PC version, the Xbox 360 port that I know being a re-release of it, I've never managed to track it down up until just very recently, a single month ago thanks to a lost media archive I've come across. It might as well not have existed at this point.
A fair warning, actually two warnings: one; don't bother looking for the PC version. Not counting the fact that I haven't managed to make it run even on Windows 10, two; the internet is just riddled with the sneakiest of traps trying to infect your PC just by attempting to track undocumented semi-abandonware content down. I pride myself to be quite a seasoned "fake link identifier" and even I've managed to fall into one of said traps while trying to find the darn thing. NONE of the supposed "download links" relating to this game on Google are legit. Not even the better looking ones. None. Don't bother trying them. Aside that unfortunate fact howewer as I said, the PC version simply doesn't run on modern hardware to my understanding. Howewer howewer thankfully the game does run almost perfectly on Xenia (which was used to record all the showcased gameplay footage), not counting the occasional visual glitches that don't hinder the base gameplay in any significant way. Don't fret though if emulation is not your cup of tea: as of the release date of this video the original Xbox 360 version is still alive and kicking, ready to be purchased on the 360 based Xbox Live storefront, you can jump there any time and buy the thing yourself, it's dirt cheap too.
According to the game's credits the soundtrack was composed by one "Somatone Interactive Audio" which upon inspection seems to be a third party sound related service provider, no exact people are credited beyond this encompassing statement whatsoever.
The concept arts and wallpapers seen at the beginning of the video were recovered from WildTangent's old official website dedicated to the game that which I managed to reactivate through Ruffle, a web extension serving as a Flash emulator basically. The site also seemed to have a download link available for the original PC release's demo version howewer unlike the art pieces and screenshots, this link no longer seems to function.
Almost none of the showcased tracks loop properly, neither here or in-game, also they're extremely short, so I took the liberty of looping all of them three times save for the main menu's music that which I've only looped twice. Enjoy and happy swimming!

This one was fairly simple to achieve, unlike This Broken Soul, no additional stitching work from other AI attempts were necessary.

By the power of "vocal remover AI", I present you yet another piece of music that can now be experienced in a considerably different way thanks to the rapidly developing technology that surrounds us. Originally this was meant to be just about the instrumental aspect of the song, then later on a double upload containing the "instrumental only" and "ins + BV" variants separately. However since this platform already has plenty of instrumental attempts uploaded to it and my raw, unedited "ins + BV" variant had sounded considerably inferior compared to the "instrumental only" version of the song, I opted to mix the best of the two worlds and create a custom edit from the two individual AI attempts. As I said the "+ BV" variant's instrumental parts sounded slightly inferior possibly due to the AI having to focus on the parts containing the backing vocals more than the instruments themselves while the "ins only" version turned out to be as perfect as it can be right now (afaik) sourced from the highest quality version of the song that I was able to track down.
In this edit, almost all non-vocal parts that you hear are from the "ins only" attempt, while the parts containing the backing vocals originate from the "+BV" AI variant.
In case if anyone's curious about the "ins only" version made of the AI regardless, here's a link to that very thing, knock yourselves out.

Unfortunately as the source file mixes the voice acting, sfx and bgm all into a single track, there's not much the otherwise surprisingly impressive vocal remover AI technology can do with this one: sfx persists, but the voice acting is almost completely removed. I'm still impressed with the end result nonetheless and since afaik no one has uploaded this track to YouTube at the time of this upload just yet, well here it is, enjoy! :)
Life is an adventure.
Még mindig alig hiszem el, hogy elment. :/
Erre a videóra egyfajta Frankenstein-szörnyként tekintek.
Have a két drasztikusan elválasztott technológiai éra cafatjaiból összevagdosott zombivideó on me then.

To be honest, throughout the years I was always under the contextless impression that this was just an improvised Jun Senoue track made exclusively for this trailer and it's initial variants.
Howewer after finding JPOG's E3 trailer music out of sheer accident I was inspired to dig further to see just how much "ancient trailer music that's actually third party and decent enough to be remembered through the distance of decades" there is. And so I found this one as well.
The track's name is "Intensified", part of an album called "Big Shorts - Movie Mania 2".
Rayman at this point still uses Rayman M (and 3?) voice lines as placeholders.
Assumedly exclusive to GameSpot, tho it's kinda hard to tell as I for one was only able to track this one back to their archives (IGN's current web setup is way too ass for me to properly navigate through, maybe it's in there too somewhere, I just don't know it yet).
Fixed the noticeably delayed audio of the original file and re-rendered it in 1080p for viewing convenience.
Uploaded for archiving purposes.

Well, that changes now thanks to the existence of YouTube’s Content ID system which can assumedly identify a considerable percentage of all the world’s musical content.
The track’s original title (as it turned out) is „Jurassic Adventure”, part of an album called „Movie Showcase 4: Event/ Epic Adventure”, presumably composed by either Elizabeth Skorcz Anthony or Peter Tomashek, it's not entirely clean who, maybe both of them as either are named by the sources I’m citing this from.
Either way, we’ve finally got this after all this time, I can still hardly believe it. This is probably among the oldest pieces of music I’ve never got around to find due to it’s sheer elusiveness and with that in mind:

An age where we can play fuggin' Wii games on our phones.
This was a tough cookie to break to say the least as it seems the Google Play version of Dolphin plays pretty much everything perfectly, everything, but not THIS GAME for whatever reason. I've tried every version, from every region (yes, even the Japanese Trial Disc thingy) and it just kept giving me disc read errors. That is, until I found a certain github based Dolphin build that randomly launched the game without any problems whatsoever. Thankfully it doesn't corrupt or disturb the "vanilla" Dolphin version that's already installed in any way, the two can just coexist in the storage, no probs there.
Tech talk:
The game itself plays perfectly at normal speed on default resolution, tends to lag mildly in 720p and occasionally shits the bed during recording sessions (creating a save state and loading it back instantly solves this issue, so does interrupting the recording session for a couple of seconds).
Unlike the "vanilla" Dolphin build, the github version (as I understood it anyway) does not support "full scale movement control translation through the phone's gyroscope". Now in layman's terms: If you play say, Black Knight using the Google Play version, the sword swinging movements can be done by moving the phone around by default, no additional calibrations are needed, the game will register your phone movements as Wiimote inputs.
Not the github version howewer: Here, apparently you CAN'T even tell the emulator to "just translate everything", you have to specifically tell it which actions you want it to detect. You see the analog in the lower left corner? That's for the "shaking" input (homing attack/catapult launch/lever turning in this game) and for nothing else, howewer howewer you can do the same for the gyroscope inputs as well. Sonic's tilting based movement and that alone is assigned to the phone's gyroscope meaning that you can control Sonic left and right the exact same way as in the original game while the homing attacking mechanic was turned into a convenient little analog and no actual phoneshaking has to be involved in the process.
All in all this might just be the ultimate way to experience Secret Rings in it's semi-original form while eliminating nearly all of the aspects that made playing it slightly inconvenient in the first place.
I'm saying "nearly", because for the backtracking you still have to set your phone into an inverted position. xD
Can we get a Storybook Combo Pack re-release, pretty please? :3

There are only boys. The occasionally pink things with the customized eyelashes wearing skirts, funny looking shoes and whatever else are just misunderstood males.
"Functionally blind means a person with a visual impairment which constitutes or results in a substantial impediment to employment, or sub- stantially limits one (1) or more major life activities." - Thanks, Google
Loops almost perfectly out of sheer fucking accident.
Here it is at long last something that I was planning to do for quite a long time, but I always held out hope that either the soundtrack gets released in an official capacity or someone eventually finds a way to properly extract the music files from the game. As of the creation of this video neither of those have happened, so on a slightly less busier than usual afternoon I finally decided to pull a Thanos and dewit myself.
Man this game sure is a pleasant surprise on the musical front! Whatever it may lacked in terms of a "Zoo Tycoon game" (and it did, no denying that), it quite certainly compensates for at least partially with this soundtrack. Pretty sure that this is the biggest soundtrack a ZT game has ever had. If that isn't enough, most of it is presented via the in-game space's dimensions (each exhibit has it's own music that changes it's effects, volume and sound angle depending your camera's position) and much of it is dynamic (tracks having alternate versions which are randomized).
It took me roughly 4+ hours of mostly standing in places to get it all properly and even with this approach you can sometimes hear ever-so-very-slight cuts from something else at the beginning of some tracks (yeah sorry about that, I tried to make sure that all fade-ins and outs are properly captured, but the dynamic music system kept getting in my way).
You sometimes might notice that some tracks are slightly louder than the others, yeah, sound equalization wasn't the devs' strongest suit and it's much worse in the actual game. This is the fixed version as I was going out of my way to make them play at least on roughly the same volume levels. The menu musics, interaction tracks and the driving stuff are always screaming like air horns in-game while most of the time you have to set your television to fifteen billion % volume intensity just to notice that the exhibits have their own unique tracks to them, but that's enough of me telling you about my awesome journey.

I left size notes for the exhibit musics for the off chance of the other exhibit sizes having different tracks composed altogether. I really doubt this and I'm 99% sure that it is not the case, but you can never know with this game. The composer(s?) took the time to arrange a four second long jingle (with alternate versions!) for quitting your loaded game session while exiting back to the menus after all. xD
Me and my brother were messing around in RDR (this was mostly played by him, btw) when during our fifth round of massacring Armadillo's entire population we randomly discovered that almost every time the player character walks from one end of the main street to the other, a carriage spawns on the opposite side.
This spawning has occured with no apparent consideration towards the number of already spawned carriages, so we took our chances and decided to play along with this newly found rhythm...and the rest is history.
The off-screen ending of this majestic tale was that after a couple minutes later suddenly a whole bunch of townspeople and lawmen started spawning almost instantaneously all over town which forced our mighty hero to make his final stand within the town's jail, where he also met his ultimate fate.
Originally recorded/broadcast in late March 2020 on Mixer, may that thing rest in peace.

Shitposting aside I unironically enjoy the game, tho whether it's actually worth 60 dollars is up to one's tastes and expectations I guess.
Do yourself a favor and play Chapter 8 as soon as you unlocked it.
Grab as many copies of this costume as you can in Level 1 and you've basically won the entire game (boss encounters aside).

Another one of those ancient games lacking a proper soundtrack listing on this place. Got some vague memories of playing this on my uncle's Win95 machine circa 1998ish alongside with Spear of Destiny and Wolfenstein 3D.
These three games were among the first games I've ever played in my life.
Simple, but fun. While the music wasn't playing perfectly all the time I still remember it clearly even after not having heard it for probably two entire decades.
For the record: "War 2" was a bitch to loop in an acceptable manner, as half of the tracks are missing one or two beats from the very end or just randomly end in the middle of a freshly started segment, leaving me either to stitch singular beats together just to have a proper ending or resorting to edit parts considerably for proper playback. "War 2" was a clusterfuck of both of these problems, but in the end it was all worth it. :)

Yeah, this happens I guess if 98% of the level geometry becomes invisible.
