korg wavestate - Acid Rain (arpeggiator demo) Qui Robinez 2022-08-19 | In this video i use the standard wavestate arpeggiator and modify the arpeggiator pattern with the the pitch lane.Technical info:the arpeggiator is a 3 octave arpeggiator (alt 2 mode). In the wave sequence for this arpeggiator two samples are used, so every second note of the arpeggiator the sample is changed.To constantly change the arpeggiator output i used a polymeter of 3 steps in the pitch lanes. This means that starting from the 2nd step, everytime a third note plays it's transposed by 7 semitones. The result of this is that the arp constantly changes.If you want to try this yourself, set the length of the pitch lane to 3 steps and activate note advance for the pitch lane.The filter is the ms20 filter, which i routed to the master and pitch mod knobs for realtime filter control. Also a LFO is used on the ms20 filter to create more movements.

The first one is on the korg modwave and is a massive ambient pad sound which is based on custom wavetables I created on the DX7. There i created multiple raw samples that i used for three custom wavetables that were used in both layers on the modwave. The sound uses the wavetable position scanning to scan through the wavecycles.the second sound (starts at 01:39) is an electric piano sound on the wavestate. This one uses one pad sound and two electric piano sounds where the first electric piano is used for the attack of the electric piano sound, the second uses pitch and filter tricks to create that instable sustain phase of the electric piano.
