Original Song: Eternity (Tribute to Nujabes) Thepillows93 2010-04-02 | For those who are familiar with Nujabes and his music, I assume that you know he passed away recently. For those who are unfamiliar, Jun Seba, aka Nujabes, was an extraordinary Japanese Hip-Hop Producer, and one of my personal heroes. I produced this song in memory of him and his amazing music. I attempted to mimic his style, and hopefully didn't butcher it too much. The point of this was to create a simple and catchy rhythm that was looped over and over again in different styles. About halfway through the song it changes melody and progression. I'm obviously not meant to be a Hip-Hop producer, haha, but in his honor, I did my best. Rest in Peace, you were taken too soon. If you're subscribed to me, you know what Mario Paint is. I was planning on doing a tribute on Mario Paint, but recently just got a new game/program for my PSP. I used Rockstar Games and Timbaland's "Beaterator" to make this song, so it's not the most professional sounding thing. Note how my usual style comes out in this, kind of butchering his. :( I tried! I didn't like how the first one came out, so I tweaked it and added in a lower trumpet part, because god knows I can't even play that high. lol. -fail- -- got the composer wrong, sorry, I just assumed. COMPOSER: Junichi Masuda ARRANGER: Arlene B. -- So I just downloaded Finale Songwriter tonight, and wanted to give it a shot, I also have been itching to get the pokemon center theme notated. :3 It's a song the entire band knows, and it's kind of like an inside joke to us. Then I remembered some of my friends were forming a quartet, so I thought, why not? lol, this might be a bad arrangement. I've never arranged anything for actual instruments in my life before xD. So hopefully it's a good start? So let's break down the parts. Uhm, I did this according to the people I thought would be willing to play it for me, lol. That's why the trombone part has the moving lines. Trumpet has melody, pretty standard. Trombone 2 is Bass Bone. And I'm not sure of the range, so just change it however. And the F horn part is optional, it's not really necessary to get the full feel of the song. This is based on the pokemon gold pokemon center. I took the basics and morphed it into something else. As I was adding songs one by one, I came across Outset Island. I was already familiar with the song, but never really 'listened' to it. After adding it, I listened to my list, and when outset island came on, I remember that I'd gotten a request to do the song a long time ago. I usually don't do requests, mostly because it's difficult for me to focus on a project when I don't even know/like the song. But Outset grew on me, and I decided I would finally take up that request. I can't quite remember who requested it, so sorry. If it was you, please let me know so I can put your name here. SSB64 - Saffron City - Mario Paint Thepillows93 2008-09-11 | yes, this is a repost, because I didn't realize an update for the soundset I was using was up :P thanks Cat333Pokemon! :D anyways. I tweaked it a little too from my first post, but I still think it's...bleh. I can't figure any way to fix it though, I've tried anything, and I'm a melody packie! I can't get rid of any melodies. Such is my dilemma. Anyways. I obviously remixed it...a lot xD so much that it might not even sound familiar LOL and may not even count as an entry x.x at least the intro is unrecognizable Hah! I totally revamped that. I had fun though. I was brainstorming on ways to do this song exactly like the original without going over 1000. High tempos + me = @_@ I can't handle it xD I found that I couldn't because of the eighth note triplets or whatever in the end. So I remixed it. Yay me! In the end, I'm not too happy with it, but it's okay. :) It became kinda catchy after listening to it so many times though xD blah. So when I was listening to this song and thinking about how freakin' epic it was, I thought, this would be a great song to use the orchestra soundset on! And I was right. :) I did the Dark Cloud 2(Dark Chronicles) boss battle theme. If you've never played this game, shame on you. Shame. The soundtrack is great, and the game is awesome. Except for the bad transitions, it came out ok My inspiration for this song? well, I was sitting in band one day, when the pianist played an unknown tune, it made me want to compose. So I went home, and did the bass and cars, and stopped. A couple days later, I remembered about it, and it just kinda flew on MPC. So again, I do hope you enjoy this. Hyrule Field(Ocarina of Time) Thepillows93 2008-04-01 | Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time's Hyrule Field theme on Mario Paint Composer. phew. This one took a while, but it's the one I'm most proud of. Nothing repeated for long enough, so I didn't bother looping, making this come out to a total of seven parts. Also, the 'scary' part of the song might sound very...dissonant(SPELLING?) xD that's because it's supposed to be, and Mario Paint doesn't allow most of its instruments to be held longer...so sorry for the funny sounding part. Again, I didn't follow the sheet music to the letter. I had to alter some things because sometimes there were too many notes, or too little, or it just sounded weird.
