Shawn Seguin - Improvisation No. 1 for Bassoon and Electronics (2026) World Premiere Shawn Seguin 2026-08-26 | Live audio recording of my Improvisation No. 1 for Bassoon and Electronics. This was performed in the McKnight Recital Hall at the Greenwood School of Music at Oklahoma State University on August 25, 2026.Improvisation No. 1 is an exploration in ambient electronic music. This has been a genre that I have been interested in for many years, but finally decided to dive into it. The work itself is broken into three sections: Introduction, A, and B. All melodic content and chord progressions are left up to the performer. This work utilizes Loopy Pro, an Apple app that is not only a loop station, but an incredibly powerful digital workstation. Other plugins featured are Crystalline and Black Hole Delays.Due to technological difficulties, the original video was corrupted. However, the audio that I recorded through Loopy Pro was preserved.
