In 2003, the Nobel Prize for Medicine was awarded to the pioneers of MRI scanning technology. But of those honored for this amazing medical breakthrough, there was a glaring omission.

Incredibly, the Nobel Committee did not recognize Dr Raymond Damadian, who is widely known as 'the man who invented the MRI scanner'. The two men who did receive the Nobel Prize certainly contributed to the field, but there is no doubt that Damadian made the pioneering breakthroughs. And what makes his exclusion even more suspect is that up to three people can share the award.

It does make you wonder if the committee's decision was influenced by the fact that Raymond Damadian is an outspoken Christian creationist. Even atheistic philosophy professor Michael Ruse, confessed: 'I cringe at the thought that Raymond Damadian was refused his just honor because of his religious beliefs.'

Mud and the FloodMud and the Flood
Mud and the Flood
CMIcreationstation 📤 5 years ago 2013-03-07
Who would have ever thought that too much mud could supposedly disprove the Bible? Well, mudstone—which is rock formed from mud—makes up a huge percentage of earth's sedimentary rocks. And many allege that this invalidates the biblical account of a global flood.

Mud forms when very fine particles settle to the bottom in water. Geologists say that calm water conditions are required for this settling process to occur.
Therefore, whenever they encounter mud deposits, they interpret them as forming in tranquil water environments.

But the biblical flood would have been catastrophic—not tranquil—and that's why many say the flood can't account for mud deposits.

But recent research published in the prestigious journal Science has turned this argument on its head. The researchers showed that mud deposits from rapidly flowing water.

One of the researchers wrote: 'mudstone science is poised for a paradigm shift.'

Once again, science catches up with the Bible.

Dropstones don’t disprove Noah’s FloodDropstones don’t disprove Noah’s Flood
Dropstones don’t disprove Noah’s Flood
CMIcreationstation 📤 3 years ago 2015-10-26
Dropstones are rocks that have been carried and dropped into finely grained sediment. For instance, icebergs can carry and drop rocks on the ocean floor, to be covered by further sedimentation.
Noah’s flood was a worldwide catastrophe that deposited much of earth’s fossil-bearing rocks. However, within these rocks, we find what appear to be dropstones. This is often interpreted as evidence of previous ice ages. And since you can’t have ice ages occurring during the flood, this has prompted some to claim that dropstones disprove Noah’s flood.
However, dropstones can be formed by mechanisms that don’t involve icebergs. For example, floating tree stumps can have rocks entangled within them, which are then dropped on the ocean floor. Moreover, recent research in the journal “Marine Geology” has shown that a large seaweed known as kelp has a surprising ability to carry and drop sizeable rocks. So dropstones don’t disprove Noah’s flood. To find out more from Creation Ministries International visit our website creation.com

Antifreeze proteins prevent fish from freezingAntifreeze proteins prevent fish from freezing
Antifreeze proteins prevent fish from freezing
CMIcreationstation 📤 3 years ago 2015-07-28
How do fish survive in Antarctic waters without freezing? The answer is that their blood plasma has lots of ‘antifreeze’ protein that bind to ice and prevent the crystals from growing and thus causing damage.
Some evolutionists claim that this is an example of ‘evolution in action’ because new DNA code has been created that codes for the antifreeze protein. But does this really support molecules-to-man evolution?
Antifreeze proteins are quite different from the complex, specific proteins found elsewhere in the fish, or in our own bodies. They are simple proteins, which may have arisen through the duplication of a digestive enzyme gene that lost its original function due to mutations scrambling it. Even though they fortuitously prevent ice crystals from growing, this is a very non-specific job that many different random proteins could perform. So, even though antifreeze proteins help fish survive, they don’t explain how complex, specific proteins could arise by mutations. I don't have hair there but if I did, it would stand up on the back of my neck.  You read his writings, the man was connected to the universe in ways that I never seen another human being connected.  It's kind of spooky actually.  He discovers the laws of optics, figured out that white light is composed of colors.  That's kind of freaky right there.  You take your colors of the rainbow, put them back together, you have white light again.  That freaked out the artist of the day.  How does that work?  Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet gives you white.  The laws of optics.  He discovers the laws of motion and the universal law of gravitation.  Then, a friend of his says, "Well, why do these orbits of the planets... Why are they in a shape of an ellipse, sort of flattened circle?  Why aren't... some other shape?"  He said, you know, "I can't... I don't know.  I'll get back to you."  So he goes... goes home, comes back couple of months later, "Here's why.  They're actually conic sections, sections of a cone that you cut."  And... And he said, "Well, how did find this out?  How did you determine this?"  "Well, I had to invent integral and differential calculus to determine this."  Then, he turned 26.  Then, he turned 26.  We got people slogging through calculus in college just to learn what it is that Isaac Newtown invented on a dare, practically.  So that's my man, Isaac Newton.

Every time I hear of Neandertal man, I cannot help but feel sorry for the poor guy. Initially reconstructed to look like some apish brute, it took 44 years before a reanalysis of the fossils revealed that Neandertal man's anatomy was very similar to yours and mine.

Neandertals buried their dead—which isn't the sort of behaviour you'd expect from an animal. What's more, discoveries of ornaments, tools and stone-tipped spears reveal a high level of sophistication. Neandertals made their own superglue from pitch and flute-like structures found with their remains suggest they enjoyed music.

But what did Neandertal man really look like? In recent years researchers have answered this question by using computerised reconstructions, commonly used in forensic science. These studies show that Neandertal Man looked remarkably similar to you and me. If he was dressed in a suit and walked past you in the street, you probably would not notice him.

Mitochondrial Eve -- a good fit for the real Eve
CMIcreationstation 📤 5 years ago 2013-03-07
Many people scoff at the idea that all humans descended from a woman called Eve only thousands of years ago. But geneticists actually endorse a similar idea, known as mitochondrial Eve.

By studying the DNA in cell parts known as mitochondria, scientists propose that all humans descended from a single woman that lived 200,000 years ago.

But this date relies on evolutionary assumptions, chief of which is the idea chimpanzees and humans shared a common ancestor 6 million years ago.

However, actual research has shown that mitochondrial DNA mutates much faster than this evolutionary estimate, and this drastically reduces mitochondrial Eve's age. This would mean that mitochondrial Eve—as a review in the prestigious journal Science said: 'lived about 6500 years ago—a figure clearly incompatible with current theories on human origins.'

But it is compatible with the Bible's history.

Does the bible teach flat Earth?Does the bible teach flat Earth?
Does the bible teach flat Earth?
CMIcreationstation 📤 5 years ago 2014-01-07
Calling someone a "flat-earthier" defiantly isn't a compliment but many people believe that, in the past, the church taught that the earth is flat.

Historian Jeffrey Burton Russell put this myth to rest in his definitive book "Inventing the Flat Earth." He could only find five obscure writers in the first fifteen hundred years of the Christian era, who denied the earth was a globe. What's more, science historian John Heilbron documented in his book, "The Sun in the Church," that the church actually supported astronomers by letting them use cathedrals as solar observatories.

The Bible itself makes some intriguing references to the earth's shape. The most prominent is in Isaiah 40 where is describes God sitting enthroned above the circle of the earth. The Hebrew word here is חוּג (khûg), which denotes sphereity or roundness.

The Nobel Peace Prize is the most controversial of the five Nobel Prizes—Physics, Chemistry, Literature, Peace and Physiology. Not only is this the most coveted; it is also the most significant out of all other awards since this award is awarded to individuals who have done "the best work for the fraternity of nations," as well as for the eradication of groups and armies that encumber the massive promotion of peace among people of all nations. Ever since Alfred Nobel chose peace as a category for the Noble Prize, it has been subject to several controversies. "He/she-should-have-won" claims have been pervasive, and debates as to who is more deserving to win have been ongoing year after year. So, according to popular opinion, here is a list of the 25 people who should have won the Noble Peace Prize but didn't.

Many people say that evolution is fact and that there is a mountain of evidence to prove it. Should Christians just cave in and admit that Genesis is a myth? This episode examines and refutes key evolution evidences such as:
• Embryo similarity
• The Miller/Urey experiment
• Peppered Moths
• Homology
• Horse evolution
• Fossil record
• Dinosaurs
• Archaeopteryx
• Whale evolution
• Tiktaalik
• Vestigial organs
• Ape men
• Natural selection
• Mutations
• Chimp/human DNA 98% similarity
• Junk DNA

The Creation Magazine LIVE! TV program is a ministry of Creation Ministries International. With offices in seven countries and more PhD scientists than any Christian organization this program features cutting edge science that supports the Bible delivered in a non-technical, visually-rich, discussion-based format.

Monkey Madness -- could monkeys ever type out Shakespeare?Monkey Madness -- could monkeys ever type out Shakespeare?
Monkey Madness -- could monkeys ever type out Shakespeare?
CMIcreationstation 📤 5 years ago 2013-03-07
It has long been claimed that monkeys typing randomly could eventually type out the complete works of Shakespeare. Plymouth University researchers recently installed a computer in a monkey enclosure to see what would happen.

After a month the 6 monkeys in question had produced 5 pages of indecipherable text. This result isn't surprising, though, because the monkeys mainly used the computer as a toilet and trampoline.

This ridiculous 'research' reminds me of the mathematician Sir Fred Hoyle's analogy to illustrate the likelihood a single bio-polymer, necessary for life, arising by chance; without a Creator. He likened it to 100,000 billion, billion, billion, billion, billion blind people each solving a Rubix cube puzzle simultaneously. And this is just one bio-polymer. The simplest life forms have hundreds of bio-polymers.

Despite these odds, however, many people insist life arose by chance because they don't like the idea of a Creator.

The whites of their eyes - How Hollywood makes apes look humanThe whites of their eyes - How Hollywood makes apes look human
The whites of their eyes - How Hollywood makes apes look human
CMIcreationstation 📤 1 year ago 2017-11-03
Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a recent Hollywood movie that depicts a fictitious world ruled by advanced apes. Through cutting-edge computer graphics, producers have created apes that possess many humanlike qualities.
One of the techniques they’ve used to make the apes more humanlike is quite simple.
One of the distinctive features of human eyes is our white sclera. Apes, however, do not have whites in their eyes—their sclera is brown or black. This might sound like a subtle difference, but if an artist depicts an ape with a white sclera, they look much more human.
Indeed, this technique has been used for years to indoctrinate the public with alleged evolutionary ancestors. Soft tissues, like eyeballs, don’t fossilize. So when an artist draws an alleged ape-man ancestor with whites in its eyes—that’s purely based on speculation! National Geographic magazine has been using this trick for years.
Who knows how many people have been fooled by it?

Nobel Discrimination by CMIcreationstation
CMIcreationstationS h a r e

Nobel Discrimination
