In this video, you will see some of the work developed by 900lbs to help Amazon Web Services (AWS). Here is more about the project:
The Challenge
900lbs collaborated with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to create an immersive, web-based application that would help educate current and prospective customers on the benefits and use cases of the company’s cloud computing offerings in a unique and engaging way.
AWS, the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, helps millions of customers – including the fastest-growing startups, largest enterprises and leading government agencies – lower costs, become more agile and innovate faster through cloud computing. AWS provides more services, and more features within those services, than any other cloud provider, which makes it faster, easier and more cost effective to move existing applications to the cloud and build nearly anything you can imagine.
With the breadth and sophistication of AWS offerings, explaining the benefits of services concisely and accurately to prospective customers is critical.
The Solution
Through discovery, concept development and prototype development, 900lbs worked with the AWS team to plan and design a gamified, educational tool to help start the cloud computing and remote productivity conversation.
To take this interactive project to the next level and provide a platform for AWS to truly showcase their suite of web services, we decided to develop this engaging application using only AWS cloud services.
Using a combination of AWS solutions, we developed the AWS Cloud Champion: Virtual Workplace Interactive Challenge.
We created a 3D virtual trade show booth, complete with 360 camera capabilities and customized lighting We leveraged the AWS Sumerian Host to create our avatar host, Zoe, who greets users and guides them through the virtual booth’s interactive and educational content 900lbs and the AWS team worked together to integrate key tutorials, demonstrations and case studies that bring cloud computing to life and showcase how AWS can help customers work remotely, learn online and service constituents via the cloud We created a fully-customized experience for users, tailoring all content to the selections users make up-front and allowing them to explore the topics that matter most to them To provide a uniquely gamified experience, we implemented elements/features from the gaming world throughout the Interactive Challenge We partnered with the AWS team to develop a short quiz and reward users with points as they complete each step in their guided tutorial journey
"Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the launch of a preview version of an online gamified tutorial, “AWS Cloud Champion: Virtual Workplace Interactive Challenge,” that highlights cloud capabilities available for online meetings, cloud-based contact centers, and virtual desktops. The tutorial is presented as a three-dimensional (3D), virtual tradeshow experience, which includes kiosks and an AWS avatar that guides you through a self-directed path, explaining applicable AWS services in a concise and engaging format.
The tutorial is gamified through a point system to track your progress as you complete a customized learning circuit on a topic of your choosing. It takes about 10 minutes total to complete the gamified experience. If you complete all modules, you have the option to sign up for $50 in AWS Promotional Credit as a reward."

https://twitter.com/900lbsTrade Show Exhibit Booth Design Studio - 900lbs In Dallas Texas900lbs2023-01-10 | https://www.900lbs.com/portfolio/zte-ces-2018 -- In Q4 of 2018, ZTE USA engaged Derse and 900lbs to produce an exhibit booth with a diverse range of large-scale visual content production for ZTE’s activation at the 2018 CES conference.
CES is one of the largest conferences in the world. To understand the scale of this event, consider 2017’s attendance rate and estimated media impressions:
Over 180,000 industry professionals, including more than 58,000 from outside the US. 119.2 Million social media interactions in just 6 days. 69 Billion estimated impressions in Total Media Outreach in the month of January. (Source: https://www.ces.tech/About-CES/CES-by-the-Numbers.aspx) And this year was even bigger.
So, it begs the question: In such a packed conference environment, how does an organization stand out from the crowd? This is the creative challenge we often face of prominence on a grand stage, where quality and impact of visuals matter. We always say that content is king. So, how might we tell ZTE USA’s story of their latest products and 5G innovations in a BIG way?
THE SOLUTION 900lbs has been fortunate to partner with ZTE USA for over three years on a diverse range of projects. Our team has a great understanding of the brand, from both a design and product perspective. We understand the small design consistencies that could bridge their multiple products and brand styles. We also have a strong expertise in a wide variety of screens, projection services and IR touch bezels used across different permanent installations, trade-show events, and large scale activation events.
ZTE USA’s tech partnerships span across a wide range of applications and products. Our task was to develop interactive touch tables to help our guests see the vast applicability of smart technologies. For instance, BlueSmart is a Kickstarter campaign success. Their luggage contains ZTE USA’s chip which charges your phone and and tracks your luggage through an app. Our interactive touch table for IoT Automotive showcased the many ways in which 5G is affecting the way we travel in our cars, from safety to communication. Our feature-focused user interfaces let the guest navigate easily through simple intuitive designs. This experience involved all of these technology components and more including:
5G Future Tunnel: An immersive room that takes attendees through ZTE USA’s story around 5G innovation and the future of ZTE USA technology solutions. In the 5G Future Tunnel, our team highlighted the way that ZTE USA has harnessed this technology and impacted the marketplace. Our energetic animation and motion graphics edits took visitors on a trek through the past, present and future of how 5G is going to change our world. 900lbs was responsible for producing Four Tomorrow Tunnel Visual Content Videos displayed on TVs on the wall.
LED Wall: Large scale visual content walls serving as the centerpiece backdrop to the booth. The aspect ratio of the four large-scale LEDs was a truly unique canvas, and the resolution was a staggering 6144. 900lbs produced:
ZTE USA’s Overarching Narrative Transitional Graphic Animations The ZTE Blade Brand Story The ZTE Axon M Brand Story Additional Supporting Visual Content Pieces: Visual content and interactive touch screens to support additional booth product/solution areas, including:
Industry: Connected home technologies and proactive home maintenance (security systems, water systems, air filtration / sanitization systems, and energy efficiency accessories) General Location Strategy: technologically-influential metropolitan area, with real estate strategically positioned for maximum access to young tech-savvy home-owners.
THE CHALLENGE This smart home company offered more device types in service of a fully connected smart home than any other competitor (who mostly focused on single layered offerings and individual systems – e.g., smart thermostats or security monitors only).
Our client envisioned the fully connected modern homes with an owner’s smartphone as the central command center of the numerous device connections across Security, Air, Water, and Energy networks.
Because 900lbs has a lot of experience translating deeply technical and complex stories into understandable concepts, we were engaged to drive their CXC design.
Our primary creative challenge was to blend scenario-based “if/then” educational storytelling per individual home network, and also free-flow exploration experiences connecting all home networks. Their audience would need to truly “feel” the power of connecting the entire system of networks in a home through a mobile app. This would include consistently blending various product sub-brands into one master brand “digital thread” throughout the center.
Another creative challenge for 900lbs was showcasing the benefits of the company’s vast network of professional service contractors across each of the device types (water, air, security, energy). Our challenge would be to animate a professional service provider as a narrator avatar to guide and educate users.
THE SOLUTION Through collaborative Discovery workshops and technical Design/Dev Processes, 900lbs designed and developed six truly remarkable "wow" experiences.
Energy: This one-of-a-kind, gamified experience allows guests to identify energy issues throughout the home that could lead to catastrophic damage if not addressed properly. Guests go hands-on with mechanical air cannons that shoot real smoke rings at a 3x3 video wall to “reveal” energy risks through the lens of a service professional. Guests work together to point out potential hazards and uncover solutions, eradicating the issues that could cause serious damage, as though given preventative maintenance. Air: Through 2D motion design, we tell the story of how the air we breathe in our homes is often poor quality - and how the company's products can make sure that your family remains safe and healthy. Through an interactive touch table, CXC guests identify air quality issues that impact a family (humidity, dryness, odor, sanitation). With the help of the company's professional services contractors, a customized suite of air products creates a healthy, comfortable home. “Trial and Error” gameplay educates the users overtime through tricky “guessing’ around each device’s capabilities. Water: Clear aquarium-like boxes with real, running water inside, allow guests to see “behind the wall” and identify real-life issues that happen in real time. Through this intriguing 4D digital-meets-physical display, we tell the story of Water and showcase the intuitive line of products that provide complete, automated protection for every home. (ex: what happens if your water pipe bursts while you are on vacation in Hawaii? Simply shut off your water main with the mobile app and return to your relaxation.) The Eye: This 4D immersive theater installation (360 video across 4 projected screens, with multiple smell and smoke effects) explores why the company and its products/services are crucial for consumers to have in their homes. This area of the CXC explores home owners' greatest risks and fears (burglary, fire, pollution, flooding, illness) and manifests them into a surreal multi-sensory experience. Super Connected: This “Home X-Ray” sliding panel-based experience, utilizes 2 vertically-stacked LG transparent OLEDs in order to educate customers about how the networks within their home function and interconnect, and how the professional services contractors and app can benefit. Security: This interactive exhibit showcases the breadth of different security issues that can be solved by the company. A 3x3 video wall with fun, stylized security scenarios (animated content) allows multiple guests to explore security issues in the home (ex: burglary, intruders, garage left open) and identify how an in-network professional services contractor can utilize the company's technologies to provide piece of mind for their whole homes and families.Dallas Mavericks Augmented Reality Interactive Gift Shop Sales Wall - Love Field Airport - 900lbs900lbs2023-01-09 | https://900lbs.com -- This video recaps what 900lbs, an immersive and interactive experience design agency, completed for the Dallas Mavericks at Love Field Airport in Dallas Texas. Updating the “Parallax” video would allow us to bring in new players, like successful rookies Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot, as well as enhance the technique and graphic layers used in the piece.
THE EXPERIENCE Using a mix of existing highlight footage and photos, the 900lbs team created an action packed, 60 second video that is currently being played every 4th quarter on the famous Jumbotron at AT&T Stadium. The heart of the piece is an intricate motion graphics technique called “camera projection” where the static photos are “projected” onto 3D models to give them added life and motion. We paired this technique with contextual highlights, providing an added layer of impact. Also included are traditional motion graphics filters and 2D parallax animation. We collaborated with our go-to partners at Dallas Audio Post for the custom music track which utilized some beats created by our good friend, the late, great DJ Whiz (Anthony Johnson).

Quick-Step wanted to provide a glimpse into the future where customers can visualize the Quick-Step line of products in their own homes.
THE SOLUTION Building on our past experiences and knowing the limitations of traditional, marker-based augmented reality, we opted for “SLAM”, a technology originally from NASA. SLAM allowed us to create a virtual scene in real-time, based on features of what the device’s camera viewed using computer vision. With this innovative approach, what the camera sees IS the marker. Using the camera feed of the space, we created a unique algorithm that allowed us to occlude objects and in real time, laying the virtual floor underneath the furniture in the room.
In the end, 900lbs of Creative helped Quick-Step innovate with an industry first approach to visualizing floors in the comfort of their own homes.

THE CHALLENGE In 2017, 900lbs and our partner, RES Exhibits (out of New York) had the opportunity to collaboratively design Mack Truck’s new Customer Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania. How many times have you heard the expression “Built like a Mack Truck?” It’s an expression ingrained in American speech because it’s commonly used to refer to something’s strength and reliability. Not only would we need to showcase Mack’s impressive product line and services in an innovative way, but we knew our work had to live up to the Mack Truck reputation.
THE EXPERIENCE The primary objective of our first interactive concept was to showcase the industry-leading design and innovations which are “under the hood” of their vehicles. Our minds went immediately to Augmented Reality. So we created “Heart of the Mack”, an 11-foot wide installation that showcases the drivetrain of one of their trucks but overlays and augments the physical image with interactive content on a sliding touch screen. Guests physically slide the screen and reveal important features, watch videos, explore statistical charts and learn how Mack still lives up the motto that’s made them an American icon for more than a century.
The second installation was an immersive visual and audio experience called Uptime in Realtime. 900lbs created ultra-high resolution custom content that wraps around the guests on seven screens and tells the story of Mack’s “Uptime Center.” The Uptime smart technology is the brains behind the trucks. It helps fleet owners and drivers keep their Mack vehicles on the road longer and more effectively. All of the content can be remotely presented from a convenient mobile tablet that the ambassador carries.
Mack Truck was founded more than 100 years ago. Design and innovation are driving a transformative evolution in which the organization has never seen throughout its history. This new Customer Center brings the brand’s many stories to life and will reinforce the power of its product line for years to come.
We are located at: 5301 Alpha Rd. Ste 10 Dallas, TX 75240 (469) 238-8043
THE CHALLENGE The 900lbs team has enjoyed consistent organic growth over the years, thankfully. Two years ago, we were approaching a transitionary period, and our team finally migrated to a much larger office space near Addison. Visualizing what a new space can look like can be challenging. We wanted to leverage our capabilities in AR to visualize our new space and how we would optimize our space planning to produce a collaborative, innovation-focused environment. SkunkWorks 2.0! We worked with BBK Architects and Kelly Construction to completely redesign the space. Being our usual innovative selves, we brainstormed on a way to visualize the new office space before it was finished. This gave us the ability to make edits quickly and get alignment on the vision.
THE SOLUTION The art of the possible is in our DNA and we believe in actions speaking louder than words. In-between our projects in the pipeline, we invested in the R&D and creation of our own “Space Visualization Augmented Reality Tool.” Our goal was to make planning more efficient. We wanted the ability to drag and drop work stations and change room sizes. Strong ambient light poured in from the west through 30′ high ceiling windows. We needed to understand how the light would change the environment during different times of day. Not everyone could visualize the space from flat blueprints so being able to visualize the space together gave us the flexibility to rethink areas of need and it made the whole process faster. Real-time annotations could be made by team members who were traveling. The AR tool was practical and innovative. Back then, we did an interview-style showcase but we never actually created a case study to distribute it externally.
THE RESULT Fast forward to 2020. We are all navigating through a pandemic together, and the business landscape has shifted. Precautionary safety measures are top of mind as companies look to reimagine their workplaces and their physical experience spaces with social distancing and safety in mind. Space programming is important as teams rethink how to work at least six feet apart from each other. How might your office dynamics change? What if you could adjust furniture through 3D model integration and users could annotate in real-time, collaboratively? Our “real-time AR Kit design tool” is now a need during this time where we all must think differently about how we create great work together. We would love to demo this live collaboration tool for you.Immersive Touch Table, User Interface, And Visualization Of Services Case Study For HPE - 900lbs900lbs2022-12-19 | https://www.900lbs.com/portfolio/hewlett-packard-enterprise-2-2 -- In 2015, our client came to us with a real challenge. How do we visualize services and make the intangible… tangible? How do we redesign a space that is more than 10 years old and bring these services to life? Our client’s vision was to create an immersive “wow” experience for their prospective enterprise level clients. This experience would need to reinforce their messaging while providing a better understanding of how their services could help the guests with their own business challenges.
Through our science-driven Discovery Phase, we created a universally recognized metaphor of a challenging mountain climbing expedition. This provided the creative infrastructure for us to convey the vast array of enterprise services in an easily understandable and entertaining way. In order to maximize the impact of the twenty minute journey, we designed a truly compelling user interface design that represents the interconnected network of “tools” that help HPE’s clients achieve business goals.
Speaking to the technology, the metaphor plays out across a system of hardware components that react, in real time, to the user’s actions as they work collaboratively to overcome challenges “up the mountain”. The focal point is the 11 foot long interactive touch table that drives the content for the flanking 18′ wide projection screens. A custom surround sound and LED accent lighting add additional sensory elements that immerse the users.
“The Enterprise” is the culmination of close collaboration with architects, sound designers, software developers, lighting technicians, construction crews, and most importantly, Our Client. Achieving the initial direction, the outcome of this project provides guests with a memorable and unexpected journey that furthers the guest’s understanding of how our client’s services can propel their business further.

https://twitter.com/900lbsImmersive 3D Bank ATM and Financial Services Sales Tool - NCR Virtual Branch Environment - 900lbs900lbs2022-12-16 | https://www.900lbs.com/portfolio/ncr-virtual-branch-environment -- THE CHALLENGE NCR, the #1 global provider of of multi-vendor ATM software applications and middleware, is leading how the world connects, interacts, and transacts with banking technologies. They offer a total suite of solutions allowing:
flexible co-existence of physical and digital channels enhanced consumer experiences full suite of self-service solutions for financial institutions
In 2017, NCR approached 900lbs to develop an immersive, flexible sales application to transform how these omni-channel solutions are showcased and presented to customers. This tool would also serve as a means for training new NCR Sales Team members and partners on the full, integrated suite of solutions that NCR offers to Financial Institutions.
In the early design stages, we met with Subject Matter Experts from all areas of the NCR team. With these insights, we determined how this application would meet the needs and objectives for all product teams, while allowing for a fantastic user experience for both sales and customers.
THE SOLUTION Once we fully understood the scope of NCR’s Banking multi-product solutions and their goals for this experience, we identified that the sales team member’s laptop is the target platform to create an immersive and navigable 3D modeled environment of a bank branch. Other supporting materials, such as interactive software demos, customer facing presentations, videos, and product feature messaging, would be presented inside this Virtual Branch Environment to give sales team members full access to their arsenal of sales enablement content.
Several technology factors were pivotal to ensuring an effective launch:
Flexible, Intelligent Interface: Users can navigate freely within the Branch Environment as well as through easily accessible navigation areas to quickly jump to specific areas and find exactly what you need when you need it. Access to collateral and product information through an easy-to-use asset library.
Custom-tailored Demonstrations: Every customer interaction can be tailored to create and save a custom look-and-feel to align with a bank’s branding as well as custom ATM card reader colors and Banner Ads. Offline Access: Sales team members required the ability to operate the experience without an internet connection when demonstrating to customers.
Optimization: To create a high-impact and immersive sales experience on minimum spec PCs, we heavily optimized ATM models, sales materials, and the 3D environment to run smoothly and consistently as well as on touch-enabled Windows devices.
Analytics and Insights: To measure success and audience behavior, we incorporated analytics and insights around on-boarding, utilization, and overall ROI. We mapped and programmed events that would allow powerful and simple reports in their Google Analytics dashboard.
Security: Requiring User License Keys to access the application help NCR ensure every sales team member is trained and authorized as well as to allow security measures with distribution of NCR proprietary content.
THE RESULT Together with NCR we created a truly customizable, flexible, and portable virtual environment which is utilized by over 2,000 internal sales team and partner personnel. NCR’s Sales Team is empowered with a tool that allows them to take potential and current customers on an immersive, engaging journey through NCR’s comprehensive suite of integrated banking solutions.

https://twitter.com/900lbsInteractive User Experience (UX) Design Agency - Mini Golf Interactive Scorecards - 900lbs Dallas TX900lbs2022-08-26 | (469) 283-8043 -- https://900lbs.com/portfolio/the-puttery/ -- This video showcases a recent interactive scorecard project we completed for Drive Shack to enhance the customer's mini-golf user experience. Here is more about the project:
Drive Shack had a big idea: to disrupt the traditional mini golf experience and create an entertainment venue where adults could have an epic night out – complete with competitive socializing, curated culinary options and inventive craft cocktails. They aimed to create an ultra-immersive venue where each course is intricately and mind-blowingly designed to a unique theme. And they wanted to do away with the pencil-and-paper scorecard found at any old roadside putt-putt, and implement a technology-driven system that would fully integrate with the immersive designs of each course and enhance the overall user experience. After all, their guests would much rather hold a craft cocktail than a tiny golf pencil and a wrinkled scorecard.
Drive Shack approached 900lbs with this challenge statement, and we couldn’t have been more excited. We quickly got to work embarking on a full Discovery Phase, working through end-to-end User Experience flows, designing and building proof of concept prototypes and performing tech feasibility tests. At the end of this phase, we knew we had a proven concept and could build the applications that would allow for a flawless check-in process at each course, and a fully digital scorekeeping method. The Experience
We decided to deploy an agile project management methodology to allow for continued prioritization and iterative development of new features, creative exploration and testing..testing..testing.
For the upcoming launch of their first location, we were tasked with designing and developing:
A Check-in Application that ties into the Puttery’s reservation system and allows Puttery employees to check in guests at each course to start their game play adventure A Player Scorecard System that provides players with a system to enter their scores at each hole and view their scorecard for the course, with a unique User Interface design that matches each of the course designs A Leaderboard System that displays high scores based on category such as highest overall, daily high score leaders, and more
UX Design
Our first step was to put ourselves in the shoes of the end user with one question in mind. How can we design the coolest mini golf game experience any of us has ever played? Our User Experience design process took every scenario we could imagine into consideration for both the Puttery employees and the guests there to play the game.
For the check in app we had to consider how the employee would best utilize the application, the most logical flow for retrieving a reservation, how to check in groups who did not have a reservation, and how to quickly add or remove players without causing disruption…especially during busy rush times! It was imperative that we create an app that was easy to navigate and nimble enough to allow for quick adjustments when needed.
As for the scorecard, we knew we had to create an app that was simple enough for anyone to immediately understand at first glance, but robust enough to allow for multiple behind-the-scenes features to ensure accurate scorekeeping. We considered all the angles and ultimately created an intuitive application that dynamically leads the player from hole-to-hole and allows them to input their score along the way. The scorecard collects their total score and displays it on each scorecard tablet, and also on the large-format Leaderboard displays at high-visibility points at each course.
UI Design
Our check-in application was designed with the Puttery brand at the forefront. Hosts and employees are able to log in at any kiosk with their employee ID, review upcoming reservations for the day and begin checking groups in at the courses as they arrive for their tee times. There are also features that allow the employees to revise reservations and a quick-play option to assign groups without a reservation an immediate tee time when needed.
For the scorecard we designed a simple but elegant scoring solution that allows each player to play through each hole, then tap into their scorecard to record their score. Careful consideration was taken in the design dimensions to ensure the touchscreen interface was intuitive and responsive in the way our guests would expect.
App Development and Tech
The check-in application integrates with Drive Shack’s internal API to ensure that reservations are displaying properly from the Puttery website, and conversely sends back the appropriate information when an employee needs to make changes to a reservation or create a new one at the venue. Data on group sizes and player names are communicated back and forth between our app and the API so that each group that starts a round is sorted and queued in the appropriate format.Nanoverse Data Visualization And Interactive 3D Environment - 900lbs - Experience Design Agency900lbs2022-08-24 | (469) 283-8043 -- https://900lbs.com/portfolio/caris-life-sciences-nanoverse-data-visualization-experience/ -- This video showcases the highlights of a recent project completed by 900lbs for Caris Life Sciences (https://www.carislifesciences.com) - a Precision Oncology company based in Irving Texas. Here is more about the project:
Caris invited 900lbs to create an interactive experience for their trade show booth at American Society of Clinical Oncology’s (ASCO’s) Annual Meeting 2022 in Chicago .
We were challenged to build an interactive 3D environment called the Nanoverse, which would showcase their transformative technologies.
A combination of data visualization and value prop narratives would educate internal staff and external customers on their testing capabilities and data platform. By emphasizing unique benefits of offerings for oncologists and biopharmaceutical researchers, Caris would have a fantastic re-debut at ASCO, after a 2-year event marketing halt due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The Experience
Using Caris’ abstract patient data cluster from their platform, 900lbs dynamically populated an interactive 3D model (over 45,000 individual nodes / patient cases) that could be rotated, zoomed, and filtered by cancer type (lineage). Meanwhile, text and image-based narratives presented summaries of Caris’s sample reports and publications for easy-to-absorb storytelling.
We also integrated QR Codes, dispersed throughout the narratives around testing capabilities, to give guests access to detailed reports (which they could access after submitting an interest form designed for lead generation and automated marketing email follow-up). Viewers could see referenced publications’ citations at any time to enforce credibility of findings.
The experience concluded with a real-time outro cinematic showing a camera weaving through the cluster, discovery of Caris’s vitruvian man (unique brand imagery), and Caris’ motion logo with a web URL. The sound design and booth fabrication were incredible and fully immersed guests into the Caris Nanoverse experience (benefits of scale and multi-sensory design). The Results
From an overall booth experience perspective, Caris generated more leads at this year’s event than any previous events.
We were incredibly pleased and thankful to be partnered with Caris in their effort to save lives via precision medicine.
We are excited about future updates to this experience so that it is more accessible and to further expedite Caris expansion of their incredible data-driven, life-saving insights!

EchoPark aims to disrupt the automotive sales market through the deployment of a new concept that provides customers with a unique, convenient, and frictionless car-buying experience. This first-of-its-kind new car buying concept would be launched in Austin, Texas, at the intersection of 183 and 45, a perfect location buzzing with energy and visibility to passerbyers and ease of accessibility for customers.
Every car purchase is a reason to celebrate! Whether it be a birthday, anniversary, graduation or upgrading your vehicle to accommodate your growing family, EchoPark wants to be a part in making this day special and memorable.
900lbs was approached by EchoPark to design and integrate an exciting celebratory experience, from the time you set up your pick up appointment to the time you drive out of one of the delivery bays in your newly purchased vehicle. The Experience
Our goal with this project is to surprise and delight customers when they come to pick up their vehicle, instilling a feeling of celebration and excitement around your new vehicle purchase with EchoPark. We seeked to provide a customized experience in the room that enhances the celebration and can be shared with others after.
A microsite component allows customers to request their appointment time for an easy, frictionless pick up process. Then, they can personalize the entire experience. From specific birthday and anniversary messages to uploading photos, videos and special dynamic text, EchoPark makes the whole experience truly special.
When customers arrive at the Delivery Center to pick up their new vehicle, they are met by their Delivery Specialist who escorts them to their Delivery Bay. The customer is handed their new car keys with a special EchoPark keychain. The customer scans the QR code on their keychain. Ready, Set, Go! Let the party begin. As the customer opens up the door to the bay, their new vehicle is unveiled to them for the first time in an immersive, exciting room that incorporates a large LED screen with engaging custom visual content and audio that seamlessly integrates with the room elements through transitional LED lighting and other visual media.
The Delivery Center Experts drive each pick up experience utilizing a custom iPad Controller that integrates with the bays. They are able to set up a truly unique experience for each customer that arrives, making each delivery one-of-a-kind and memorable.
The exciting moments are captured with photos from HALOs in each bay that can be saved and shared with friends and family. The Results
Within the first few months of launch, EchoPark has seen incredible results. Customers are eagerly sharing their experiences with others and on social media. EchoPark is transforming the car buying experience. And, that’s something that we can all celebrate about.

Here is more about the exhibit and the Perot Museum's 10th anniversary.
Happy 10-Year Anniversary to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science! This past week has been very special for the Museum and it has been EPIC for 900lbs.
As part of this week's celebration, CEO Linda Silver, the Hunt Family and the Board of Directors presented a ribbon cutting event as they unveiled brand new Athletes for the legendary Run Exhibit in the Lamar Hunt Sports Hall.
New Athletes include Patrick Mahomes, the record-setting MVP/Super Bowl Champion QB with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was born in Tyler, Texas and attended Texas Tech University before being drafted 10th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Ronnie Baker, the Team USA Sprinter, who competed in the 100 meter finals at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. He attended Texas Christian University.
Paxton Pomykal is an FC Dallas Midfielder and National Team hopeful for the upcoming World Cup. He was born in Lewisville, Texas.
Other athletes included Elodie Tessier (Team Canada Paralympics Wheelchair Basketball Athlete from the University of Texas at Arlington), Moriah Jefferson (WNBA Dallas Wings Guard), Tex Hooper (FC Dallas Mascot) and Natalie Cook (National Champion track star from Flower Mound, Texas).
In 2010, long before the grand opening of the Perot Museum, 900lbs was hired to create all of the large-scale visual content and interactive development for the Run Exhibit. 900lbs also contributed to the exhibit's design, architecture, technology and hardware.
At over 55 feet long, the Run Exhibit is one of the largest exhibits and it is arguably the most popular.
There are two types of large-scale visual content on the Run Exhibit. 900lbs and our production Team films the athletes through a highly-technical video production process for life-size motion capture. Early on, there was a significant amount of R&D involved. Extensive post-production and visual effects are required in order to get the athletes in their final form. 900lbs has also created large-scale, life-size 3D animals over the years. The most popular CG creature to race has been the Tyrannosaurus Rex. We utilized the original maquette from the first Jurassic Park movie when we modeled the dinosaur. Paleontologists helped our Team throughout the animation and rigging process. 900lbs has also created a life-size CG cheetah and along with a 40 foot long underwater mosasaur (dinosaur) Tylosaurus.
The scalable nature of the content makes this exhibit truly special. The interactive ability to choose between Athletes and 3D animated creatures engages children and the audience to go round and round in line as they select new competitors to race. Immersive audio design and time-tracking make the experience competitive as onlookers cheer on.
900lbs is proud to be a part of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science!
The success of the Perot Museum's Run Exhibit has given 900lbs the opportunity to design and create visual content for several other Run Exhibits around the United States including The Franklin Institute and the Science Museum of Minnesota.

Here is more about the project: The Challenge
900lbs partnered with Bell back in early 2018 to develop a scalable, immersive experience for their new AVLC locations in DC and Huntsville, AL. We were tasked to handle everything turnkey, from immersive environment design to 3D animation and interactive execution. This new experience would allow Bell to deliver an evolving storytelling presentation to customers that showcases Bell’s innovation in the Future Vertical Lift program.
The Experience
Through discovery, concept development and planning, 900lbs collaborated with the Bell team and architects to plan and produce the interactive Mission Table. The Mission Table is a scalable platform that presents surrounding storytelling mission scenarios with motion picture quality 3D cinematics and synchronized interactive touch table top down map content. The Table includes a Visualizer mode that allows Bell customers to explore Bell’s FVL aircraft such as the V-280, V-247 and Bell 360 Invictus in a virtual hangar environment, exploring the unique capabilities and features.Since it’s initial launch we have continued to scale this solution to include 6 additional mission scenarios as well as additional Bell aircraft and variants for the Visualizer Mode. We have also expanded this platform to include a traveling trailer version as well as a tablet version.
The Results
The Bell Mission Table interactive program has been so successful that Bell has accomplished their mission in positioning Bell as a leader in producing aircraft to support the military’s Future Vertical Lift Program. As we continue to expand upon Bell’s capabilities in innovation, we have produced additional interactive experiences such as Bell Supply Chain Management. And, we are currently in the final stages of producing an interactive experience around Bell’s Manufacturing Technology Center and Future Connected Factory, showing that Bell can not only create innovative aircraft, but also lead the industry in innovation, ensuring fleet sustainment and support for the war fighter.
Here is more about 900lbs:
Founded in 2008, 900lbs is a tech-driven interactive design agency. We help our clients transition further into the Experience Age through the production of scalable, interactive initiatives and compelling, immersive visual storytelling that drive results.
We were engaged by Northern Star Scouting Base Camp to create an interactive leadership experience for their new Leadership Center in St Paul, Minnesota.
Together, we merged Northern Star Scouting’s rich leadership curriculum and new classroom programs with immersive technologies to engage today’s younger, tech-savvy generations.
The Experience
We paired the new Leadership Center curriculum with dynamic content, resulting in the Leadership Portal room, an immersive theater with interactive gaming and panoramic storytelling.
We designed both an introductory leadership video to prepare students for a “different kind of day” and a multi-chapter mystery-adventure storyline. Our content simulates how to use several leadership skills and styles within a group; decisiveness, patience, collaboration, balance, diplomacy, integrity, analysis, and passion.
We custom designed the room and technology to best immerse user’s in the experience. Laser projectors created an edge-to-edge 360-degree canvas on 18 foot walls, allowing a unique storytelling medium for panoramic animations. A 9 foot wide multitouch table supplied by Ideum facilitates interactions and gameplay.
Several interactive features were required to bring our vision to life:
Touch-based user interface design for game controls, guide controls, menus, and scene navigation 4 puzzles designed for 4-8 players collaborating Gamification elements such as real-time difficulty adjustments, group tracking, score and badge awards, and re-playability Procedurally animated “artificial intelligence” character created using Amazon Web Services’ Amazon Polly, a powerful and humanlike text-to-speech synthesizer. Over 20 panoramic video cutscenes Stylized character animation Mid-action photos captured through USB web cameras for social sharing Dynamically controlled LED lights for special effects Spatialized audio enhances the content’s depth Visualization of national and historic leaders, as well as state leaders from Minnesota Networked room controller to provide hardware controls, conserve energy, and ensure long operation life of the technology.
Through the design process, we prototyped and playtested to ensure strong usability. We brought in a local Dallas Explorer Post (with both boy and girl participants) and Boy Scouts of America board members for several rounds of play testing and feedback to ensure the game was fun to play, intuitive to use, and impactful at executing curriculum goals.
We installed and tuned the experience on-site, providing training to Northern Star Scouting Base Camp staff and volunteers.
The Results
The final result was an interactive and immersive experience with 4 individual adventures that gave our client the “sizzle on the steak” they were looking for to enhance their new leadership training programs. The experience was built with scalability in mind for future expansion to include additional educational content that further supports Northern Star Scouting’s curriculum.

Here is more about the project:
THE CHALLENGE
The holidays can be stressful. With everything from travel to gifts on the brain, it can be easy to forget the very people who make it all possible. Dallas-Fort Worth International Airpor is the fourth busiest in the world and is responsible for nearly 1850 flights a day. With all this in mind, they take time every year to show their appreciation to hard-working employees at their annual DFW Holiday Party.
DFW wanted to make the winter of 2018 extra special. They tasked 900lbs of Creative with making a one-of-a-kind holiday themed VR experience for employees to enjoy. Due to the nature of the event, it had to be easy enough to learn, challenging enough to be fun, and efficient enough to handle the throughput of the hundreds in attendance throughout the day.
THE SOLUTION
The experience was to designated to be held in DFW Airports Executive Boardroom, which would be transformed into a Dr. Suess-eque holiday wonderland. 900lbs worked with the DFW team to build a theme around this concept with fun, easy-to-use arcade mechanics and a live-updating scoreboard for friend competition between coworkers.
The Holiday VR Challenge is all about saving the holidays! Once the headset is on, players are immersed in a scrappy snowball fight with a playful Holiday Thief in his cave hideout. Players must compete to see who can save the most presents, be a true citizen of holiday spirit, and become the ultimate holiday champion!
The immersive and chaotic experience challenges players to score points by rescuing as many gifts as possible using their handly vacuum-bat. Snowballs launched from tubes and thief himself and can be batted into targets around the cave to release an avalanche of gifts. Then, the player must continue to defend themselves by batting or blocking snowballs as they vacuum the gifts up off the cave floor.
The game showcases custom 3d environment design, props, user interface, VR design, motion controls, game system programming and integration for generating high scores on a 2nd screen display. For an added touch of personality, DFW’s brand was highlighted with custom colors and logo placement throughout the 3D artwork, including an animated toy plane with a DFW Airport banner that flies around the player upon completion.
With a short 5 week deadline, we worked closely with the DFW team and Pop Parties Event Planning to create the perfect game that would drive friendly competition while being fun for anybody, with or without VR experience.
THE RESULTS
DFW Airport’s holiday party was a colossal success with overwhelming praise from players. Hundreds of employees took a swing at the Holiday VR Challenge and many returned multiple times to beat previous scores, watch friends, or just play “one more time”! 900lbs is proud to be a partner with DFW Airport and this was an amazing way to showcase our team’s ability to create a unique experience for the hard-working employees who fuel DFW Airport and their holiday spirit!

Here is more about the project:
The Challenge
Vroom, the national online car retailer generating over $1 billion in revenue, approached 900lbs with the creative challenge of helping them continue to disrupt the traditional car buying process and deploy a technology focused initiative to position Vroom for the future.
The Experience
900lbs collaborated in close partnership with Vroom to film 15 of their “Affordable Performance” vehicles in 360º video that represent 155 vehicles in Vroom’s inventory. When a user puts on the VR headset they can navigate around the digital showroom then jump inside any car and sit in the driver seat, go on 360º video test drives and access vehicle information (year, price, horsepower, trim package, etc). A user can experience all the standard features of a website in a completely immersive new media. This is the first phase of a multiphase development plan that’ll see more features and vehicles implemented in 2017.
he Solution
This first phase of a multiphase development launched in a Phoenix mall as a pop up retail space allowing guests off the street to experience Virtual Reality and Vroom for the first time. The project gained national interest from Fortune, Tech Crunch, Adweek, Digital trends and others. “This VR showroom was part of a targeted campaign that saw a significant boost in web traffic,” explains Gaurav Misra, Chief Marketing Officer of Vroom.
"Vroom and 900lbs of Creative have created a virtual reality showroom in pop-up stores. BY LANCE MURRAY • SEP 13, 2016 Dallas-based 900lbs of Creative and national online car retailer Vroom have created a fully immersive, 360-degree, virtual reality showroom that will be available at pop-up stores nationwide on the HTC Vive. The VR car showroom experience will allow customers to explore 15 of Vroom’s “Affordable Performance” muscle cars in person, with options representing roughly 200 vehicles in stock, the companies said in a news release.
“This was a complex and technically intricate project,” 900lbs’ CEO Steve Deitz said. “We had to develop new filming and production techniques in order to create phase one of this multi-phase experience. I’m really proud of our team.”
Users will be able to walk around the car’s exterior before jumping inside in the driver’s seat. They will be able to go on 360-degree video test drives and will have access to the vehicle’s full information. But the companies haven’t stopped there, and are in the process of developing the next phase, which will include more interactive and immersive features. It will have the potential for a customize experience, the companies said.
Vroom has seen increased interest because of the technology. “This VR showroom was part of a targeted campaign that saw a significant boost in web traffic,” Gaurav Misra, CMO of Vroom said. The companies said the first pop-up store opened in August in Phoenix, with subsequent pop-up stores planned before the end of the year in Texas.
SHOWROOM IS PART OF A TARGETED CAMPAIGN “Such an incredible experience working with 900lbs, we’re now moving rapidly in to our third project with them,” Misra said. “They’re a creative agency the likes I haven’t encountered before.” Misra said the auto retailer need a fresh approach. “We’re a billion dollar revenue retailer and we needed completely fresh thinking around a specific retail strategy with technology at its core,” he said. “We developed this VR showroom and we were blown away by 900lbs attentiveness, creativity, execution and pragmatics. This VR showroom was part of a targeted campaign in Phoenix that saw a boost in web traffic.”
900lbs is an innovation lab and marketing agency that uses emerging technologies to create one-of-a-kind experiences."
As part of the development of their new corporate headquarters in Tempe, Arizona, Freedom Financial looked to execute an impactful interactive experience in their WOW room located off the main lobby. This experience would serve to welcome visitors and employees from the moment they entered the building.
Freedom Financial maintains a truly compelling, robust library of stories and additional content emphasizing the results and financial debt savings Freedom Financial creates for their customers across the United States. How could we utilize this content as a source of inspiration and emphasis of Freedom’s incredible core values within this space?
The Solution
The Brand Hatchery reached out to us at 900lbs to collaborate with their team and Corgan MediaLab in order to produce an interactive touch wall experience in the 900 square foot corporate WOW room. Alongside an art installation of over 4,000 custom credit cards serving as a video projection screen, we developed a 16’ wide x 8’ tall interactive touch wall that guides viewers through customer testimonials, employee testimonials, interactive maps, scrollable galleries and a timeline containing fun facts about Freedom Financial.
Using the heart and dollar sign symbols as the central point from where content revolves on the screen, this symbolism reflects and emphasizes the “heart” that Freedom Financial and it’s employees contain in showing true passion and care for their customers alongside the “dollars” impacted in debt relief through the help of Freedom Financial.
The larger-than-life screen is divided into four panels, allowing four visitors to interact with the touch wall at the same time. Directional speakers are located above each panel so that content can be easily heard when multiple people are exploring together.
In order to ensure Freedom Financial could keep content evergreen and fresh, we created a back-end Content Management System (CMS) so that Freedom could have the flexibility, freedom and tools to incorporate new content to the touch wall as it becomes available.
The Result
The touch wall creates an impact from the moment you walk into their beautiful new headquarters. It invites visitors to explore the WOW room and see for themselves what Freedom Financial stands for and the tremendous impact they and their employees are creating for individuals and families seeking to free themselves from the burden of financial debt. Visitors are inspired to explore the many wonderful customer and employee stories that exist today and encouraged to come back and visit again to view the new stories and content that support their mission and the many people they continue to help.

The task was to disrupt and transform traditional capital budgeting processes in the rapidly evolving oil and gas industry. Our challenge was to make corporate goals (and the means to achieve them) transparent to decision makers in ways not previously attainable. We strongly believed that this experience would create opportunities to reduce costs, improve decision making, and support internal alignment with corporate goals.
Our front-end user interface design and markerless augmented reality prototypes for desktop and iPad applications have laid heavy groundwork for Windom Peak’s patent-pending SaaS product. Our conceptual design uses this augmented reality alongside big data analytics and distributed computing to visualize risk, constraints, and goals on a multi-year horizon.
3 key design innovations streamline the intense workflow of capital planning teams:
1. A dynamic augmented reality mountain intuitively conveys a summit as the corporation’s goal 1, 2, even 5 years in the future, while the mountain’s local terrain steepness, contours, and color mapping use AR to illustrate portfolio risk.
2. Our modern front-end design enables distributed computing and cloud-based data analytics to calculate if-then scenarios in real time, such as the effects of oil price shocks on a portfolio's Net Present Value, projects’ contribution to corporate portfolio goals, and flexible alternatives.
3. Our iPad companion app allows simple and collaborative data visualization in an open-office or boardroom setting.
This app is projected to shrink the time required to perform capital budgeting from 6 months to weeks and do it in a quantitative, transparent manner, reducing the number of iterations between managers and planning staff. Meanwhile, existing research suggests that major competing SaaS products require heavy amounts of training and struggle to provide actionable insights.
By delivering immense time-savings in the capital planning process, our interactive technology is primed and ready to transform the oil and gas industry.Large Scale, Interactive Digital Touch Wall For Freedom Financial - Experiential Agency 900lbs900lbs2019-12-11 | (469) 283-8043 - https://900lbs.com/portfolio/freedom-financial-touch-wall/ In this short video, Heather Jones from 900lbs (an experiential technology and design experience agency located in Dallas Texas) discusses the technology and benefits of the large scale, interactive digital touch wall created for Freedom Financial's corporate office in Tempe, Arizona.
Here is more about the project:
The Challenge
Visitors are inspired to explore the many wonderful customer and employee stories that exist today and encouraged to come back and visit again to view the new stories and content that support their mission and the many people they continue to help.Dynamic Interactive Experience And Innovation Room Design - 900lbs - Digital Transformation900lbs2019-10-09 | (469) 283-8043 -- https://900lbs.com/portfolio/ The 900lbs team recently launched a dynamic interactive experience with DXC. Every year, 900lbs partners with the Activision team to develop funny video parodies that not only celebrate the GameStop/Activision partnership and drive excitement for the new game launches, but entertain the GameStop managers in attendance.
At the 2019 conference in Nashville, TN, we deepened our partnership with the Activision team, creating two engaging and entertaining videos and tapping into our interactive capabilities to create a digital photo booth that placed conference attendees on the cover of the new Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare game. The videos inside the training room were hilarious, warranting a standing ovation at the end of nearly every training session, and the digital photo booth was a huge hit with the 4,500+ GameStop managers at the conference. Everyone clambored to get a shot of themselves on the cover of Modern Warfare - and they even got the chance to try out the exclusive new night vision goggles - available only in the GameStop pre-order kits.
The GameStop Store Leaders Conference in Nashville was a huge success, and the GameStop crowd proved that Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare is the most anticipated game release of the year. Cheers to another fun and successful year of partnership between 900lbs, Activision and GameStop!

Visit Seattle is a private, nonprofit marketing organization serving as Seattle and King County’s official destination marketing organization (DMO) for more than 50 years.
This video and the description below is the case study recapping the project:
The Challenge
900lbs was selected by Visit Seattle to develop a unique tablet-based Augmented Reality experience to educate partners, clients, and the media about their newest Convention Center addition currently under construction, The Summit, which is located within close proximity to the existing Arch Convention Center building in downtown Seattle. They needed an experienced interactive creative agency to craft and implement a new sales tool in a form factor that is portable, compatible with their existing Surface Pro devices, and usable at sales meetings and trade show events. The major focus was to highlight the Washington State Convention Center’s new additional facility, Summit, alongside the current facility, Arch, and surrounding hotels and landmarks in order to effectively showcase why Seattle is the premier destination for meetings and conventions.
The Solution
We leveraged an Augmented Reality (AR) software platform which we knew would meet the specifications of the Surface Pro 4 tablet computer used by their event planning and sales team. We discovered that this hardware would require the AR app to be marker based, meaning that the tablet camera would need to track a physical poster in order to keep the city mapped to a meeting table or trade show floor.
Alongside concept development and discovery, we utilized floor plans, blueprints, architectural renderings, 3D city models, and other space offering statistics sheets. This content gathering ensured that our app would be accurate to the space as much as possible, while Summit is still under construction.
We designed an intuitive app layered with rich content to enhance the user experience. Visit Seattle’s customers are immersed in a visually compelling environment – creating new ways to explore and experience the Washington State Convention Center buildings and all Seattle has to offer. To accomplish this, we
Created an auto-scrolling Photo Gallery of the Arch and Summit building renderings which could play while on standby at a Trade Show booth. Worked with the Visit Seattle team to create a branded and high contrast AR Marker that could be easily printed and tracked. Optimized existing 3D models, constructed models for remaining buildings, and optimized all models to “game-ready” complexity in order to reduce the app’s resource load on the computer. We made sure that the experience runs great while all 3D is live-rendered within the limitations of the hardware and AR software environment. Created a “City Mode” with simple zoom, pan, and rotate gesture controls to ensure that sales team members could easily find all featured buildings and showcase the true walkability of the Washington State Convention Center areas. Created a “Layered View” to isolate the exterior and interior of the Arch and Summit, navigate through the different floors of the buildings, showcase convention space details, and communicate how visitors would flow. Animated the light rail and monorail, and gave special attention to the “hill climb” staircase that cuts through the entire Summit building.
The Result
The final product is a Visit Seattle branded tablet AR app with intuitive controls to be utilized by over 40 event planners nationwide. The AR tool is now helping drive conversion of event booking during sales meetings with meeting and event planners, major corporations and event groups.
We are proud to partner with Visit Seattle to help reach their sales objectives and emphasize their amazing convention spaces, all while using business-friendly technology.

CBS Sunday Morning did a feature on the new ship, and you can see our touch screen visualization tool being featured starting at the 3:46 mark of this video (or click the link to the video at the end of this video):
In late 2017, 900lbs was approached by EY and Royal Caribbean to develop a Proof of Concept interactive visualization tool for the Safety Command Center of the future. Royal Caribbean seeked a way to transition from the printed deck maps and overlays, disparate systems, and traditional safety tools to create a more interactive, future-forward application that would differentiate Royal Caribbean as an innovative brand and, most importantly, leverage emerging technologies as tools to support Safety Command Center efforts onboard.
This original Proof of Concept was showcased at Royal Caribbean’s Sea Beyond Event, held at the historic Brooklyn Naval Yard, as part of a series of hands-on examples showcasing how Royal Caribbean’s investment in digital technology and innovation is driving change across the fleet.
Less than one year later, Royal Caribbean reached out to our team at 900lbs to discuss the possibility of making the Safety Command Center vision a reality.
The Solution
The Safety Command Center Interactive Touch Screen Application is the first of its kind, transforming the way in which the Safety Command Center team can work together to effectively plan and respond to safety incidents.
Located in the center of the bridge, this touch screen application serves as the heart of the Safety Command Center to help further enable collaboration in making quicker, more informed decisions that help maintain a safer environment onboard.
It empowers bridge officers and incident response teams with a unified program that aggregates data from various systems to display a holistic view of the health & status of key performance attributes with interactive deck plans and safety overlays.
Celebrity Edge, Royal’s newest ship, was selected to be the first to deploy the interactive Safety Command Center Interactive Touch Table. The initial launch of the app focused on creating high impact visualization tools for increased situational awareness, including an interactive means for the bridge to view the General Arrangement of the ship, key safety overlays as well as features such as drawing tools, timers for monitoring safety teams, navigational data, viewing e-mustering data, and more.
The Result
The launch was such a huge success that 900lbs and Royal Caribbean have since deployed the application on Symphony of the Seas and Spectrum of the Seas with plans to deploy on Oasis of the Seas in late 2019.
Additional key features will be added as we continue to evolve the program such as a consolidated view of safety systems onboard as well as multi-user capabilities for remote teams on ship to communicate with the bridge and the ability to view the Safety Command Center application shoreside.
900lbs is proud to be a part in working together with Royal Caribbean to implement a digital program that aligns with Royal Caribbean’s dedication towards enhancing tools onboard that improve decision-making capabilities and the safety of its passengers.Virtual And Augmented Reality (VR AR) Event Marketing And Exhibit Production - 900lbs of Creative900lbs2019-06-07 | (469) 283-8043 - https://900lbs.com/the-bridge-10-year-anniversary-impact-event/ -- In this video, you will see the virtual reality (VR) technology used for the 2018 event in Dallas Texas for the Bridge: a homeless recovery center. 900lbs of Creative also has helped event and exhibit organizers with augmented reality (AR) technology applications.
Here is more about the event:
On September 20th, 2018, Dallas-based homeless recovery center, The Bridge, held their 10-year anniversary event, IMPACT, at The Bomb Factory. The gala was hosted by donors Nasiba and Thomas Hartland-Mackie and featured a performance by four-time Grammy Award nominated artist, Jewel. In addition to the fine food and entertainment for the guests, The Bridge was looking for an inspirational way to educate the patrons on their impact on the homeless community in Dallas and the wide variety of services they provide. They sought out 900lbs’ involvement to create something unique and memorable.
Knowing that a majority of the donors attending may never have the opportunity to see the facility themselves and the work being done, 900lbs recommended creating an immersive virtual reality experience to tell the story of the facility in an attention-getting way.
Working with Sam Merten, Chief Operating Officer at The Bridge, 900lbs filmed 360-degree video footage in target areas around the facility (e.g. the kennel, services building, and the cafeteria). Additionally, 900lbs captured drone coverage from above the facility to use as an overview screen and supporting content in the experience.
The Bridge was established and is supported by some key players in Dallas’ recent history, including current Dallas Mayor, Mike Rawlings, and former Dallas Mayor, Laura Miller. Mayor Rawlings offered his time to film the introduction to the experience and narrate the voiceover throughout. 900lbs also filmed testimonials with leaders like CEO, Dr. David Woody III, and Chairman of the Board, Lynn McBee, as well as current guests of The Bridge.
This was a unique and gratifying project for 900lbs. We enjoy dedicating our skills and expertise to causes such as this. Not only was the project fulfilling for our whole team, but a great and fun one to work on.
The Bridge is a fantastic facility doing amazing things for the 1,000+ people who walk through its door every day. To learn more and support The Bridge, visit: https://bridgenorthtexas.org/

It was for the high school football stadium in McKinney Texas.
Here is more about the project:
On August 31st, McKinney ISD opened the doors to its brand-new football stadium, a $70 million labor of love for the city and the district. In anticipation of the grand opening, 900lbs partnered with the MISD Athletic Department and Director Shawn Pratt to produce high-end, impactful visual content pieces for the stadium.
With the MISD Stadium’s 12,000-person capacity and largest true HD board in a high school venue, our goal was to create exciting videos worthy of the venue, that would also reinforce district pride and bring energy to the game experiences for fans and players during the 2018-2019 season.
This mega-stadium is serving as the home field for all three high schools in McKinney ISD as well as a home-away-from-home for several other schools in the area. That means we needed to create foot-stomping hype videos and eye-catching ribbon boards tailored to several different logos, mascots, colors, and sponsors.
Additionally, 900lbs is working with the district on a custom, touch-enabled interactive board for the stadium’s lobby. Not only will the experience feature a scrolling user interface to highlight Hall of Honors recipients, but also easily-updatable video and statistic content to reflect game results and district standings.
When McKinney ISD got in touch with us and explained their vision for the stadium, we knew we could deliver something the players and their families would remember for the rest of their lives. Thank you to Coach Pratt and all of McKinney ISD for letting us share your McKinney Pride!

Here is more about the project:
900lbs of Creative is thankful to have worked with the Perot Museum of Nature and Science since the inception of its new museum development in downtown Dallas in 2012.
Through an initiative to redesign the Dynamic Earth Hall, the exhibits team at the museum recently engaged us to create a large-scale projection-based visual story focused on Climate Change.
During our discovery process, we worked with scientists to gain a better understanding of the difference between climate and weather. Our challenge was to determine how best to present a complex subject in a clear, engaging way. We designed our framework of the transitioning timeline with a minimalistic look and feel to tell a chronological story of how our planet has changed over time. We created technical 2D/3D animated motion graphics of atmospheric elements with the integration of NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) statistical call-outs.
Our teams discussed the importance that our content not focus on solutions but rather the fact that the earth is constantly changing. Seeing as how this is a controversial subject, our main goal was to provide context that results in the viewer walking away with their own viewpoint or thoughts.Consumer Products Commercial Video Production And Storytelling Content - Merrell900lbs2019-04-25 | (469) 283-8043 - https://900lbs.com/portfolio/merrell/ This video shows a recent project between Merrell Boots and 900lbs of Creative. This commercial video production was made to help Merrell with its visual storytelling needs; and the process can be applied to many consumer products areas.
The Challenge
“If you lack focus. Look into nature, and then you will understand it better.” In this day and age, Einstein’s quote resonates with all of us more than ever. As our world becomes more connected and cluttered, the ability to fully concentrate on the moment and truly see is becoming more of a challenge. Over three decades ago, Randy Merrell began designing and manufacturing handmade custom boots for a small group of outdoor enthusiasts. Today, Merrell takes innovation to an all-new elevation. Their products help people find their way through dependability and comfort.
The Solution
Storytelling is at the core of Merrell’s culture. Their boots give us a firm foundation for our adventures. Nature photographer and visual content artist, Steve Garcia, enjoys digital disconnections. In a recent interview with him, he referenced Ansel Adams. Adams once said, “When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.” The 900lbs Team produced a compelling visual story that takes the viewer on a journey with Garcia. We also created versions that integrated Merrell’s core design values in a subtle way. We wanted to reinforce this through transparent layers and not take away from the compelling visuals.
900lbs of Creative is located at: 5301 Alpha Rd. Suite 10 Dallas, TX 75240Conference And Trade Show Exhibit Large Scale Video And Visual Content900lbs2019-04-25 | (469) 283-8043 - https://900lbs.com/portfolio/omron-ces-2019/ This video shows some behind-the-scenes footage of the work performed by 900lbs of Creative for OMRON at its conference booth at the 2019 CES trade show in Las Vegas.
The Challenge
For OMRON’s second appearance at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the primary goal was to create an impact with the audience and garner media attention to OMRON’S latest advancements in artificial intelligence, robotics, sensing and automation – no easy feat at the largest consumer electronics show in the world visited by 200,000+ attendees! 900lbs of Creative partnered with Exhibit Concepts to create all the in-booth visual content for that 4-day show. We needed to deliver videos and presentations that would visually stun while supporting the messaging strategy architected specifically for the show as well as the overall OMRON brand.
The Experience
The star of OMRON’s main hall CES booth was Forpheus 5.0, the world’s first AI-equipped table tennis tutor – yes, he’s a ping-pong playing robot that learns from you to adjust his difficulty during gameplay, while offering real-time feedback to help you improve your game! Just as impressive was OMRON’s Factory Harmony exhibit which allowed attendees to experience the manufacturing floor of the near future. This portion of the experience featured a “mobile LDS” (an automatized delivery robot) and allowed participants to create customized etched metal tins and select magnets to place within it.
The surrounding booth walls were adorned with 3 large-scale, high-resolution video screens playing the custom content that 900lbs produced. These high-end, modern videos and presentations highlighted the features of the technology being shown off at the show and built the credibility of the well-known Japanese brand to a predominantly American audience. In order to give this content visual impact and variety, 5 brand impact videos were created to play between presentations and the live feed of Forpheus’s gameplay.
Every hour on the hour, a brief TED Talk-style presentation was given to inform the audience about OMRON’s contributions to technological advancement and the impact their work has had on the world around us. For those, we needed to draw an audience in by capturing the attention of passersby and did that through an excitement-building countdown video and an awe-inducing pre-presentation overview video.
In addition to the content created prior to the run of show, our video crew also shot and edited sizzle videos for these screens showing earlier audience interaction and building more credibility to the sensational technology on display.
The Results
The overall effect of the cohesive messaging, and technology and media showcase was undeniable. Not only did the company get the audience impact and media impressions they required for their ROI, but the booth was consistently brimming with excitement and packed with people throughout the entire run of show. OMRON’s booth at CES was a roaring success and we’ve already begun talks with Exhibit Concepts, OMRON, and our other partners for how we can continue to raise the bar for next year’s show. In addition, OMRON’s booth was just named one of EXHIBITOR Magazine’s 2019 “Best of CES” Winners!
Congratulations to all involved, we couldn’t be prouder of this project!

The building is located in Dallas, Texas.
The Challenge
Ross Tower, owned and managed by HPI Real Estate, sits in the heart of Downtown Dallas and holds a beloved place within the city’s skyline. Boasting 45 floors and stunning views of Klyde Warren Park, the building’s unique construction has earned the title as “The Corner of Everything”. The interior offers best-in-class craftsmanship along with a two-story lobby that is full of light and amenities for tenants and visitors.
To enhance the experience in the lobby, HPI Real Estate reached out to 900lbs to produce large-scale, evergreen 4K content for their digital wall and to build out a technical infrastructure that supports a wide variety of types of content that can be displayed throughout each day.
The Solution
Using a 6 x 3 layout of Planar Screens to form one large digital screen, 900lbs worked with the HPI Real Estate team to put together a solution for producing beautiful rotating 4K content with seasonal and specialized content to be displayed throughout the year.
Purchasing stock 4K content to display can be costly over time, so 900lbs filmed custom 4K content at various local events and neighborhoods in and around Dallas. Not only did this provide Ross Tower with stunning large-scale content, but it also highlighted the beauty of the city it calls home.
Originally, the wall used several media players that were meant to sync both sides of the display. Ross Tower quickly realized that this method made it challenging to maintain compatibility, and this resulted in limitations for displaying content. To remedy this the 900lbs team created a solution utilizing Pro-Player Plus, allowing the entire display to run through one device. It was able to run more effectively and — as an added bonus — content could be controlled remotely at the click of a button.
We have since evolved the Digital Wall further to allow for the ability to stream content, including live sports, news, and more. Now, Ross Tower’s lobby can easily be converted into an event space with tailored content for any occasion.
The Results
The Ross Tower display wall certainly hit the mark in terms of wow factor and now proudly displays lifelike 4k customizable content daily. Building management is able to customize what is displayed and when it is displayed, resulting in a truly flexible solution to meet the needs at any given time. With the adaptability and scalability to provide a wide variety of visuals, Dallas locals and visitors alike are treated to an experience whenever they walk through the doors.Animated Interactive Museum Exhibit Design Agency Dallas Fort Worth - 900lbs of Creative900lbs2019-02-07 | (469) 283-8043 -- https://900lbs.com/portfolio/river-legacy-living-science-center-life-in-the-forest-wall/ This video shows an executive from River Legacy (Arlington Texas, in the Dallas Fort Worth area) discussing the use of technology in a nature center. She shows how the visitors enjoy the animated interactive museum exhibit designed by 900lbs of Creative, a creative design studio and agency which developed the new exhibit.
Here is more about the project:
The Challenge
Deep in the heart of a bustling DFW metroplex, the River Legacy Living Science Center is a sanctuary of environmental education whose aim is to encourage an appreciation of nature through interaction with the natural world. After over 20 years of operation, River Legacy approached 900lbs to be part of a major renovation project to rejuvenate the building and inspire today’s youths. How do you reach this younger generation to teach them about nature when most are transfixed by their technology indoors? By bringing the outdoors…indoors. Our goal was to let younger visitors explore nature in a fun, game-like interaction that speaks their language.
The Experience
The “Life in the Forest” wall is an interactive projection, serving as a 30 foot wide “window” into the outside world, letting kids not only “see” what’s just outside the building, but actually letting them interact with the animals and fauna they might not see otherwise. By “gamifying” the animals and environment into mini games and highlighting aspects of that particular wildlife, kids are able to learn by doing, and subconsciously become familiar with some of the Trinity River ecosystem’s favorite critters.
Technically speaking, the large-scale wall is a mixed media compilation utilizing short throw laser projectors, 3 Microsoft Kinect depth cameras and custom exhibit fabrication that combines digital content with the physical experience. The outcome is a combined effort of months of game development, hyper-detailed environment design, 2D/3D animation and computer vision algorithms. Photos from the Kinect cameras capture the users in action for River Legacy to share on social media. This is one of the most complex projects to date for 900lbs, requiring a focused design that adhered to the TEKS education curriculum foundation while also remaining fun and engaging to kids. To increase the center’s appeal for special events and weddings, 900lbs also created a scalable backend CMS that allowed the staff to plug in any event media to customize the wall.
The Results
The River Legacy Foundation’s goal was to rejuvenate the Science Center with new exhibits and enhance the whole experience with modern technology. Through our Discovery process, 900lbs generated concept art and interactive prototypes that helped the foundation successfully complete the capital fundraising campaign by visualizing the art of the possible.
The Life in the Forest exhibit serves as the centerpiece to the renovation and the Science Center has already seen an increase in attendance. This attraction has allowed a new paid admission revenue stream as well as bolstering event rental offerings with a customizable media system.
900lbs is proud to say that the River Legacy Foundation and its wonderful staff have won the Arlington Chamber of Commerce’s 2018 Nonprofit Organization’s of the Year award! Special thanks to Jill Hill and her staff for being such a wonderful group of people to work with and a valued partner on this project.
900lbs and the River Legacy Foundation staff are already in talks of future initiatives and enhancements to the space.

Here is more about this project: 900lbs of Creative was approached by Nokia to develop an all-in-one application for business travelers who use Hertz rental car services. The goal of the project was to provide any information the user may need in one easy-to-use app. What we created is a first-of-its-kind Internet of Things based app that connects to various devices and APIs to bring full functionality to the experience.
Our multiple APIs gathered information for parking, fueling, nearby events and food. This API integration makes it easier for the user to find important information faster and it eliminates the need to visit several different external sites. We also worked with Continental to bring bluetooth car controls to the app, giving the user the ability to lock and unlock the car, pop the trunk, honk the horn, and adjust the seat when signing into the app. The 900lbs team also developed the user interface and user experience of the interactive app, making us instrumental in the final look and feel of the overall IoT app experience.
This Internet of Things app is a proof-of-concept for Nokia and Hertz, with future hopes to build it into a full functioning app that is available to the public. The Hertz Connected Car app had a successful showing at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain where it received lots of interest from conference goers. You can catch the Hertz Connected Car app at SXSW Interactive 2017! Stay tuned to our social media for more details on when and where this app will be.
