In this video, the first part of our series entitled Dreamers, we look at CM (a professional session musician, arranger and producer, who also goes by the name of CMgroovy) and Chan Yat-kuen (an artist and retired teacher).
This is a 2nd version of the same video (we have fixed some mistakes with the titles, editing and color corrections).
We also conducted interviews in the street with passers-by and learned how varied our hopes and aspirations can be. These street interviews were partly inspired by the "Fifty People One Question" series of videos. http://fiftypeopleonequestion.com
Though, this is a documentary, we decided against using narration. It is up to you, the viewer to interpret the message of the video. The two main interviewees took two very different approaches to achieving their dreams, but can we say that one approach is better than the other? We would like to thank all the to the interviewees for sharing their dreams with us.
'Dreamers' is a Dreamers 2011 Production. The video was produced by a team of Form 4 (Grade 10) students at SKH Lam Woo Memorial Secondary School in Kwai Chung (Hong Kong)

The video was edited using Premiere Pro. After Effects was used
for the circular mask in Part 1. Sony Vegas was used to create the old / low quality film effects for the intro part.

Alone - Music and Lyrics by Babbles (2011)
You said you know everything about me--
The things I like;
The things I dislike.
You pretend to know me a lot.
In fact, what do you know?
I lost my way in a crowded street.
You said you will come and find me,
But you never keep your promise baby.
Is this all a dream? I am so confused
I just want to scream out loudly.
Difficulties keep coming in streams.
Although no one stays with me,
I still wanna pursue my dream.
I will make my own way
Until we meet again one day.
The way that I'm looking for--
I still don't know what it will be.
I will fight forever and ever.
You said you know everything about me--
The things I do;
The things I won't do
You pretend to know me a lot.
In fact, what do you know?
I lost my way in a crowded street.
You said you will come and find me,
But you never keep your promise baby.
It is not a dream, undoubtedly.
I just want to scream out loudly.
Difficulties keep coming in streams.
Although no one stays with me,
I still wanna pursue my dream.
I will make my own way
Until we meet again one day.
The way that I'm looking for--
I still don't know what it will be.
I will fight forever and ever.
Time goes by;
We need to say goodbye.
Don't be surpised;
Don't ask me why.
But what I heard is someone sigh.
I will be fine.
Although no one stays with me,
I still wanna pursue my dream.
I will make my own way
Until we meet again one day
The way that I'm looking for--
I still don't know what it will be.
I will fight forever and ever.Dreamers HK: A Dream of Faith ~ Christian TestimonyLamWooStudio2011-03-11 | http://cmestudio.wordpress.com One of our teachers, Ms Grace Sze, gives witness to her faith in Jesus Christ and belief in God and the Holy Word and explains how she became a Christian. They started their respective businesses over fifty years ago and have never thought about retirement. Although they have faced obstacles over the years, they have also gained a lot. Why have they never given up? We believe it is their faith in themselves and their search for dignity which has allowed them to persevere.
We'd like to thank Mr. Wong and Mr. Ng for giving us their time and sharing their views with us.

A LamWoo Studio ProductionSports Day SFX ~ Special Effects Experiments with After Effects and Premiere Pro)LamWooStudio2009-05-25 | http://cmestudio.wordpress.com I created this video so that I could learn some of the special effects features of After Effects and Premiere Pro, two of the software programmes in the newly set-up LamWoo Studio (at SKH Lam Woo Memorial Secondary School).
The footage is our school's sports day, which was held on 16-17 October 2008. I would like to thank the athletes and camera operators. Without your effort, this video would not have been possible.
Sony Vega was used for the old film effect & Photoshop was used to adapt some of the images. The explosions and fire videos are from www.detonationfilms.com
The music was composed and recorded using Sonar Home Studio. The first song is mainly a loop-based composition (with loops from Sound Pool, Music Tech and CM) with some parts added via keyboard (Korg MicroX). The second song was mainly recorded using the keyboard along with some percussion/drum loops.
